Years gone by

Mooooooom! Angel cried out. Him and Libby were at it again. Ezra was just glad that they mostly left him alone. Mikko walked into the living room of the house to see Libby putting Angel in a headlock. With a sight she separated the two.

I think it's time you two spend time with your dads. She told them. She loved her children but having a break from them was nice.

Libby cheered. ok!

Six years had passed. Libby and Angel were both six, Ezra just turned fifteen and boy was he just like his dad. Mikko and Gabe was now living happily in Shell City. It was so much nicer than living under ground. Sherry and Dwight had moved in next door which was nice for the kids and the dads.

Libby was growing to be a trouble maker. Mostly getting into fights with the other kids some would call her a bully. Mikko hated it, and was trying to calm her down. She wasn't sure how Chris and Jinx were raising her when Libby was with them so she could only do so much.

Angel was, well, and angel! Mikko was worried she would have another Anton on her hands but Angel was able to keep his blood lust in check even at his young age. When he needed to feed he would shyly tell his mom and Mikko would take care of it. Other than his need for blood, he was like any other kid. He liked to play, and was really into Donatello's gadgets which the turtle happily showed off.

It was summer mid afternoon. Mikko had been cooking when the kids started yelling. When Mikko mentioned doing to their dad's Angel gave a nod and ran out the house next door to Sherry and Dwight's place. It was safer there.

Ezra was at the kitchen table drawing. something he never grew out of. His drawings only got better with age, becoming more relistic and gory. His rooms wall was filled with his paintings. He really had a disturbing imagination but was a sweet kid so Mikko wasn't too worried about it. The only other thing Ezra would draw was Jade. He loved drawing Jade she was his muse but she would never know it.

Now that the fight was over and Angel had fled Libby was bored and went to her room and Mikko returned to the kitchen to finish making the stew she was cooking.

Angel was more than happy to get out of the house and away from his sister. She was always picking fights with him. This time it was because he was looking at her. Sometimes he just stared off into space, he wasn't looking at her! But it didn't matter any reason to beat him up she took.

Their mom would talk to her but it never did anything. And Libby would always say it was no big deal because the bruises and injuries would just heal up so what was the problem? The problem was it still hurt!

And Angel was not a fighter. He was also a lot smaller than his younger sister.

He made it to Sherry and his dad's house and let himself in.

Daaaaad? Can I stay here for a while? Libby is being mean again.

Jinx would have never thought in a million years she would have so much in her life. She had a great guy, a rag tag family, and a kid! Well it wasn't her kid but Libby did call her mom too so it counted. She even got those hamsters she had always wanted. They didn't last very long as they has soon became Eagly's dinner. It was a sad day for everyone. But she got over it pretty fast.

In the six years that had pass a lot had happened. She and Chris along with Flag's team had moved to a large farm. At first they were all piled up in one house. The house was big but not really big enough for everyone.

Over the years they built more houses for everyone and now they had quite the community.

Jinx loved it. And now that it was summer she loved it even more. The sun on her face, grass between her toes. She was laid out in the middle of the yard tanning in her bikini. Actually she had fallen asleep and was cooking like a lobster under the sun.

Sherry had been worried about leaving the bunker at first. Sure it was under ground and a little stuffy and yes Dixie would do much better outside, but it was safe. No zombies, no wolves, no screamers. But now she was glad that they moved.

Shell city was a wonderful town. everyone was friendly, Dixie had other kids to play with. it was a good place to raise a family.

And they were close to Mikko and Gabe.

Sherry had been worried that Gabe wouldn't want to be in his daughter's life, it was a foolish fear she knew. Gabe wasn't the kind of guy to just ditch a kid like that, least she didn't think so. But she was still relieved when he took an active role in her life. Aaliyah was a beautiful baby though giving birth to her was hard. It was not a smooth process. Aaliyah was almost lost but the little girl pulled through.

She was a girly girl for sure. liking to play dress up and with dolls. But she also knew how to stand up for herself. Not putting up with the likes of Libby.

Now at six she was closest to Angel. Angel was small and almost seemed like he was made of glass. Aaliyah felt like she needed to protect him. They weren't related but called each other brother and sister anyway.

When Angel came through the door it was Aaliyah that greeted him.

Want me to go beat her up? She asked.

Angel sighed. No. That would just make things worse. I'm just going to hang out here for a while.

Mom made cookies want some?

Yeah!

Six years had come and gone so quickly! It had been filled with ups and downs, but at least life seemed pretty balanced. Harley had slipped into postpartum depression after the birth of her daughters, but luckily Flag and Digger were there to help her through it. She loved both girls and as the months ticked on, she better adapted to being a mom to the two. 

A lot had happened in those six years. Twins, and a year after their birth, she had finally gotten married. Soon after, the group had worked hard to secure the property of the old farm house and they made the big move.  Over time, it had become a small community with the construction of additional houses, livestock and a garden. What couldn't be grown or raised could be traded for among the other communities.

After the birth of Star and River, Harley was adamant that she would not have any more babies, but fate had other ideas. Despite how careful Flag and Harley had been, life always seemed to find a way. She had became pregnant with a boy, who was now two years old. Blaze had been born premature, but had somehow beaten the odds. Unlike most two year olds, the child was quiet and shy. Though, the kid did take a liking to Digger.

Star and River were now six, and always into trouble. Though, Star was mostly guilty only by association. She always tried to keep her half-sister out of trouble, but that usually resulted in them both getting into it. Right now, the two were playing by the lake under the supervision of their mother. Harley was sitting underneath a willow tree with a sleeping 2 year old wrapped in her arms. She was trying to keep her mind occupied, but deep down she was worried. She always hated when Flag and Jesse ventured off to barter with other communities. Any number of things could go wrong out there. Chris had gone with them with the intentions of picking up his daughter on the way back. It seemed to be taking longer than it should have....

Harley noticed Jinx and it seemed the girl had fallen asleep in the blazing sun. Careful not to wake her toddler, she grabbed a small pebble and tossed it at her friend....

The pebble hit Jinx's stomach, still half asleep she scratched at the area that was hit and the sudden pain she felt from the burning woke her up with a pained yell.

It didn't take her long to realized she was a baked potato.

Awwww maaaan. Now I'm going to peel like some freaky lizard.

She got up and walked over to Harley sitting down beside her. I look like a cheery bomb. The guys aren't back yet?

She wasn't too worried. Maybe they were having lunch at someone's house. Maybe Chris was visiting Mikko. Maybe they were all getting matching tattoos. Whatever it was it probably wasn't cause to worry.

Digger had a busy past six years. Mostly with River. He had help of course. Ally was great at the mothering thing. and of course so was Harley once she had her head on straight. Digger did everything he could to spoil his little girl.

As soon as she could grip things he started teaching her how to throw a boomerang. Soon she would graduate to something a little sharper. Nothing like learning with the real thing. No more wooden sticks for his kid.

Digger had also proposed to Ally and they had gotten married.

They moved with everyone to the farm and helped set up what would become their community. Now he lived in a house with Ally close to Harley and Flag so River can come over when ever she wants.

He was outside, shirtless, in his shorts as he walked up to Harley and Jinx.

Do not fear Ladies! I have arrived.

Six years seemed to have flown by. Gabe was happy when they finally left Bunker Hill and took up residence at Shell City. It was weird living so close to the Turtles at first considering they had been enemies of the Purple Dragons, but they all seemed to live in peace.

Gabe had finally worked though his marriage phobia and asked Mikko to marry him. He had given her a ring and everything. They had been happily married for years, so it squashed his fears of them not lasting.

It was a beautiful day. Gabe was currently outside enjoying a little herb when he saw the humvee pull up. He rolled his eyes, knowing that Chris was probably in that vehicle. It has taken six years for him to be able to tolerate the guy, but he still didn't like him. The guy was so full of himself and Gabe was not a fan of that. Still, be tried to put up with him for Mikko and Libby's sake.

Wade's few years were spent uneventfully. He still lived at the bunker but would travel often to see his friends that lived elsewhere.

He and Mystique had a small affair. He foolishly thought it would last but she didn't want a realationship. He took it hard at first, But over time got over her. Anton was doing better. He had calmed downed. He didn't attack people anymore. So that was a plus.

Today Wade was visiting Harley and the gang. He pulled up to the farm house on his motorbike and parked it. He hopped off and grabbed the gifts that he had brought than went found Harley and company under a tree.

Look at that fine ass. He whistled at Digger as he walked up.

I brought gifts.

The last six years had been good to Chris. He had more now than he ever had back before the world had died. He couldn't ask for a better partner than Jinx. He had never felt so wanted and loved, and he loved the woman wholeheartedly. It didn't take him long to pop the question, and now they were happily married.

Chris had tried to live at Shell City to be close to his daughter, but Gabe made that difficult. No matter how hard he tried, Gabe still hated him. They had gotten into numerous fights, and Raph finally told them that someone had to go. Chris knew that he had a place with Flag's group, so he and Jinx had moved back to the farmhouse.

Jinx and Libby were his world. He wished that Libby could live with him, but understood that she needed her mother. Still, he brought her back to the farmhouse every chance he got.

When Flag and Jesse announced that they were going to do trades with other communities, Chris was quick to volunteer to tag along. It would be the perfect opportunity to bring Libby back home for a couple of days.

They were finally at Shell City and once the vehicle was parked, Chris was quick to hop out. Unfortunately Gabe was the first person he saw.

"Hey, Stoney. Figured I would come get Libby for awhile.."

Mikko heard the truck pull up and looked out her kitchen window. She smiled seeing Chris but even though she was always happy to see the man she knew that these visits were always strained because of how Gabe felt about him. She had hoped after so many years he could let things go but Gabe knew how to hold a grudge.

Libby yer dad's here! Mikko called out.

Libby ran out of her room and bolted out the door rushing into Chris' arms. She wrapped her arms around him and gave him a squeeze.

Mikko was right behind her, walking out the house to greet their visitors.

Harley frowned at Jinx and shook her head, gently rubbing her sleeping son's back. "Not yet, but I'm sure everything's okay..." She said, probably more for herself.


Digger's approach earned a smile and quiet chuckle. "Careful, Boomer! Just lookin' at you with all that sexiness may impregnate me!" She teased.

They were soon greeted by Wade and her face lit up even more. The guy had always been and still was one of her favorite people! Why no one had snatched him up yet was beyond her. If she was single, she would have hooked up with him!

Her son's weight was supported by her body, so she reached out her arms to him, totally expecting a hug!

Instrad of answering Chris, Gabe flicked the rest of his joint at the guy's midsection, but Chris easily averted it hitting him. Ruuuude! Sometimes Gabe was civil, but obviously not today....

"Someone's feeling spicy today..." But all of that was quickly forgotten when Libby came rushing out and into his arms. "There's my Princess!" He gave her a gentle squeeze, lifting her up and spun with her...

Your princess is picking fights again. Mikko told Chris.

Libby giggled as she was spun around and when put back down gave her best puppy dog eyes. I was practicing my head locks.

You guys want something to eat? I made plenty of stew.

Wade happily gave Harley a hug careful to not squish the baby. He than sat down next to the girls and was joined by Digger who was a little jealous of Harley and Wade's closeness. But he wouldn't admit it.

Wade pulled the large duffle bag close to him and opened it up.

He pulled out a few baby toys for the little one. And dolls, ponies and action figures for the girls. For the kids. Not sure what the girls were into. So I grabbed a bit of everything. Also Maggie as been experimenting with food so I got candy, doughnuts, and cookies for everyone.

Jinx grabbed a candy and popped it in her mouth. Mmmm could be sweeter. But it's good.

The movement from the hug coupled with all of the chit chat from the adults was enough to pull Blaze from his nap. His little eyes fluttered open and he took everything in, eventually pushing up from his mom. He quickly noticed the toys and ventured over, picking one up.

"Tell Uncle Wade 'thank you'!" Harley told the little one.

Blaze shyly looked at Wade as he hugged his new toy close. "Thank you." With that he headed over to sit in Digger's lap, showing him the toy. "Wanna pway?"

Harley smiled at the two as she reached to snag one of the doughnuts, wasting no time digging in.

"Mmmm...these are good! Maggie needs to teach me her ways!"

Chris gave Libby another squeeze before putting her down. Hearing that she was only practicing head locks earned a chuckle, and he gave her a high five.

"That's my girl!"

The invite for stew was incredibly tempting. Chris was starving, but he knew how much Gabe didn't want him here. He would have stayed just to piss the guy off, but he didn't want to fight in front of his kid.

"I appreciate that, but I'm sure Flag and Jess are ready to get home. Was gonna see if it'd be cool to take Libby for a few days..."

When little Blaze sat down in Digger's lap he gave the kid a hug and picked up another toy. I would love to, little man.

He walked the pony up Blaze's arm and softly pressed it's nose against Blaze's making a kissing noise.

Of course he would encourge her she was never going to stop beating up other kids at this rate. When Chris asked to Libby for a few days Mikko quickly agreed. It would give poor Angel a break and her.

Things would be easier if Chris and Jinx lived closer. But sadly Gabe just couldn't get along with the man. Least Raph just asked one of them to go and didn't just kick both their asses.

Go inside and pack a bag. Mikko told Libby.

Ok! I'll be right back. She ran inside and straight to her room. She started throwing things in a bag eager to leave with her dad.

Libby loved all her parents and honestly she was happy to have so many! Two moms and two dads! buuuuuut Chris was her favorite parent and she made that very obvious. She loved going to the farm the people there were so much cooler than the people at Shell city. Why? Well she got away with a lot more stuff.

Jinx was a really chill mom and pretty much let Libby run the house. And Chris encouraged her rough housing and would even teach her new fighting moves that she of course would practice on the other kids. so it was a lot more fun at the farm.

She didn't know how long she was staying at the farm so she packed as much as she could. All her cloths and favorite doll. She wasn't so much with playing with toys so didn't bother packing any of that up. Anyway if she wanted to play with something she could take something from the twins.

Soon she was ready to go and headed back outside. She over heard her mom telling her dad to talk to her about the fighting. Libby rolled her eyes.

I'm ready!

Nothing much changed for Adrian in the last six years. He was still his single, crazy self. He made himself at home with Flag's group and helped out when he could.

Now he lived at the farms community in his own little house. Actually it was a trailer home that he found and had moved on the property. It was nice after he fixed it up. He also adopted a coyote pup, that was now a loyal watch dog named king. King and Adrian spent a lot of time going out on hunts and just keeping busy.

When Libby was around he would teach her combat skills. She loved it and he enjoyed sharing his skills with someone who was so willing to learn. Adrian could see a future assassin in the little girl.

Today he and King were relaxing inside out of the heat. It had been a boring day. Sure it was nice that they hadn't had a zombie or screamer or werewolf attack in a long time, but honestly, he kinda missed it.

Xavier had grown into a sassy little six year old. He was a good kid but it was sometimes hard to get him just sit still. He had so much energy.

Logan was sleeping on the couch when Xavier leaped on top of him waking up.

DAD!

Logan's eyes shot open at first worried something was wrong. But seeing his smiling son on his chest he relaxed. Whaaaaaat?

I was thinking...Do you think there are space zombies?

That's what you woke me up for? No there are no space zombies.

Xavier thought on that for a bit than when happy with the answer he got off the couch and ran off to ask his mom the same question.

Six years seemed to have flown by. So much had happened. Harley had given birth to two beautiful girls. Flag had married his best friend, and they had moved to the farm. It took a lot of work, but they had turned the country property into a community. They had a sustainable farm, but Harley and the kids tried to make all of the livestock pets.

Flag had tried to respect Harley's wish to have no more children. The twins had taken a lot out of her, both physically, but mostly mentally. The depression had been rough, but he and Digger did everything they could. Eventually she came out of it. Four years passed after the birth of Star and River. They were careful, but mistakes happened.

Harely became pregnant with Blaze, and she slipped back into the same debilitating depression. The twins were a handful and now she would have a baby, too. Still, she declined the option of abortion, much to Flag's relief. She tried to take care of herself enough for her baby to be healthy, but Blaze was born two months premature. Both Flag and Harley stayed with him at the infirmary back at Bunker Hill. The little one required intensive care and to stay in an incubator until he was strong enough. He had almost died several times, but the little one proved that he had a strong will to live. He was a fighter.

Now Blaze was two, and because of his rough start in life, his parents were overprotective of him. Harley rarely let him out of her sight.

Flag and a few of the others still went out to help other communities and do trades when needed. Harley mostly stayed home with the kids, but whenever she needed to get out and stretch her legs, she trusted Digger or Chris with the little ones.

Jesse was now 24 years old and happily married to Evelyn. They lived in one of the houses on the property and Jesse usually accompanied his dad on his outings.

Today was no different. They had visited other communities to offer supplies in exchange for whatever other places had to give. They did it more to help the others than actual need, but Jesse had to often remind his dad that they couldn't just give things away for free.

They had saved Shell City for last, knowing the community rarely needed help, and knowing they would soon have a small charge on board. It was too dangerous to make all of their stops with a child.

Flag and Jesse waited for Chris to get Libby, but Jesse was growing impatient. He was a lot like his mother in that aspect. He easily got bored...waiting was not his strong point.


"He'll be back soon."

Jesse sighed and fidgeted with the CD player. Chris' music of choice was still in the player, causing Jesse to roll his eyes. "Dude has a hard on for big hair bands."

"It's not bad."

Jesse wrinkled his nose. "You're both old."

Chris tried to reassure Mikko that he would work with Libby about her bullying, but he was just trying to make sure that his little girl was never bullied like he had been. Maybe he was going about things the wrong way. He knew it was causing problems because both Harley and Flag had told him that he needed to talk to her about being so mean to the twins. Of course River would dish it back. She didn't look for fights, but would defend herself, and her sister. And even Blaze, but mostly everyone left the toddler alone because Harley never let the kid out of her sight.

It didn't take long for Libby to return all packed up and ready to go. He ruffled his daughter's hair, then gave Mikko a hug.

"Thanks, babe. I'll keep her out of trouble." But no promises.

Six years had passed and Zoe had transformed from a sweet child to a beautiful young lady. Now 17 years old, like every teenager, she thought she knew everything.

Life was hard for everyone considering the world was dead, but it was especially difficult for a young girl that dreamed of having a family some day. There were hardly any boys her age. Everyone was older, or taken.

She and her parents had moved to the farm a few years ago. Living underground at Bunker Hill had became depressing, and the Farm community needed a doctor, so Lexi had taken the invite. It was nice. She got to play with animals and was close to her bestie, Digger. The guy had become like a second dad to her. But even still, she was lonely.

She was the same age as Dixie. The two had taken their friendship to the next level, but long distance relationships hardly ever worked out, and Zoe was more drawn to boys.

There was one guy that had caught Zoe's attention a few years ago. Wade Wilson. She had known the guy since she was a little girl, but now she wasn't so little anymore. It didn't matter that he was old enough to be her father. Something about him drew her to him.

It was another sunny, beautiful day. Zoe had been out by the pond enjoying the sun in a two piece bathing suit when she heard Harley and the others talking. A smile stretched across her lips as she stood and made her way over to the others. Seeing Wade made her heart beat a little faster and she felt butterflies going crazy in her stomach.

She purposely sat beside the object of her desire, sparing him a sweet smile.

"Hi, Wade!"
