Life goes on (a year after immortal beginnings. )

A whole year had gone by. It was summer again and the weather was perfect. Mikko's little ones had been born but not without complication. Mikko had lost a lot of blood but Wade came in and saved the day with a blood transfusion. The babies were born healthy and hungry.

It was hard at first, taking care of three babies at the same time. But after a week or two Mikko and Vic got into a rhythm.

Today was beautiful so Mikko decided to take the kids outside by the pond. The twins were in a stroller and Lore sat happily in the grass pulling up flowers and trying to eat them.

The farm had been quiet for some time. There was the screamer incident. They had all come into the farm and wouldn't leave for a while. But no one was attacked or injured. Bishop was dead as far as anyone knew and whoever that crazy woman was that attacked Vic, She seemed to be gone too. Everything was peaceful.

The peace worried Mikko though. She knew it was only a matter of time before something happened. She just hoped it was nothing they couldn't handle.

There was a point where Sam didn't think she would live through her pregnancy. It was hard as the baby grew it sucked Sam of all her nutrients. Thorn's blood did help. Thorn's blood also started to change her, it was a slow change first her eyes turned a copper color, and soon fangs grew.

In the end though. The baby and Sam were both ok. They had a little girl. she was pale, her eyes reddish in color. Her head full of black hair.

Sam was outside, as were most people that day. She had a blanket laid out on the grass, with the little girl laying in the middle of it. Baby toys scattered about. Sam laid next to her baby looking up at the blue sky.

It seemed like it was going to be a good day.

Over the past year Lydia fell in looooove. She was smitten with Gabe and worshiped the ground he walked on. They never had any kids thankfully. Lydia did not want to be a mother.

Today she was inside. unlike the others. She got two large glasses of booze and walked over to where Gabe was handing him a glass.

Over the year Libby had quite the growth spurt. She was tall and was losing her baby fat. She was sure to grow into a beautiful lady.

Libby and her dragon Hunter were always by each other's side. They did everything together. When Hunter grew into an adult dragon, Libby started riding on his back.

That's what she was doing today. Taking Hunter for a flight.

Digger, Ally, and Tina were living their best life. Digger was in charge a lot of the time and he made some slight changes to the farm. Mainly in the form of building two more small houses. Just in case they were needed.

He also, with the help of Don and Baxter up the security. machine guns were posted on the fences. small explosives were set at strategic points around the farm. Everyone knew where they were but still, Anton had already stepped on one. Thankfully he was fine.

Digger also set up a building for the kids. Like a daycare. There were so many children after all.

Today was a day of rest. He had his feet kicked up on a chair as he sat on the porch swing. He watched Tina in the grass in front of the house tinkering with her explosives. His one rule was she couldn't build or tinker inside the house. He also let her examen one of his explosives boomerangs. She loved it and made more. Tina was a talanted kid and Digger was proud of her.

Over the year Ezra had slowly made peace with Vic. He still wished his parents were together but excepted that wasn't going to happen. He wouldn't call Vic a friend, yet. But he could sit down and talk with man without feelings of anger.

He also decided to propose to Jade. He had the ring hidden in the house waiting for the right time.

Wade had done little to assist around the farm. He mostly sat around or was hooking up with Josie. It was suprising that Josie hadn't gotten knocked up. Wade for one would have loved another child. But it seemed it wasn't meant to be. Least not now.

Today wade was on the watch tower. Siting in a lawn chair with his feet kicked up. It had been so quiet for so long that he had let his guard down.

But when a car drove up to the gate he quickly stood up and aimed his sniper rifle at the driver.

Cindy poked her head out of the car window and waved. Wade put the gun down and let her and Negan inside.

Cindy and Negan had gotten together and Cindy had her children. She was there to introduce Gabe to his babies. Sadly she had lost one of the three during child birth. But the two that lived were happy and healthy.

Cindy pulled in and parked the car. She and Negan got out the car and took the babies out. Negan's daughter was left with Mondo at the beach.

Once inside the farm Cindy and Negan walked to Gabe's house with the two babies. Two little boys. She named them Raziel and Aziel. The had Gabe's curls and Cindy's red eyes.

Gabriel had lost all hope that he would win Mikko back over. He still loved her, and probably always would, but she had a new life with Victor, and now the two had twins together. She had moved on, so maybe it was time for him to try, too.

Lydia was great. He had to admit, he was attached to her. Even loved her. He was just afraid of history repeating itself. One thing the past had proven, he could love someone with all of his heart, and still screw things up. He was sitting at the table when Lydia approached. He spared her a smile and took the glass, returning the toast. "Cheers!"

Just then he heard someone on their front porch....

"Sounds like we have company..." With that he pushed himself up and headed to the door, opening it...

When Gabe answered the door Cindy smiled brightly at him.

Hey! we've come to bring your son's to meet their dad.

She held up the little one in her arms. The Raziel looked up at Gabe with big red eyes. This is Raziel and This... She pointed to the baby Negan was holding. Is Aziel. I gave them biblical names hope you like it. Can we come in?

Vic had not left Mikko's side through the pregnancy. He had temporarily resigned from going on supply runs with Flag. Troy had stepped in to help the leader on runs and visiting other communities for trades. Mikko's pregnancy had been a scary experience but fortunately Mikko and the babies had made it and were happy and healthy.

It was a beautiful day and it seemed the pond was a hot spot. He joined his little family, plopping down behind Mikko and pressing a kiss against her cheek.

"Nice day, huh?"

Mikko leaned back against Vic with a smile.

It is. The kids seem to like it. I have to keep an eye on Lore though. She keeps trying to eat flowers and bugs. I guess it's not going to hurt her.

She leaned back up and scooped up Lorelei standing her on her feet. She giggled and bounced up and down falling back on behind. Lore spotted Vic and crawled over to him climbing up into his lap.

Thorn had worried about Sam during her entire pregnancy. He made sure that she had her daily dose of his blood, which gradually started to change her. She survived the pregnancy, and now they had a beautiful daughter who had Thorn wrapped around her little finger.

Thorn was no longer on house arrest. Flag had actually lifted that punishment after he had risked himself to help rescue Vic from HEL, and taken out Bishop. He was still not overly social with most of the people here. Trust was hard for him, but he was trying. But, he had proven that he was loyal to the farm and would protect it with his life.


He had slept in, which was rare after becoming a father. The sunlight filtering through the window tugged him awake. After a few moments of trying to fully wake up, he got dressed and looked out, seeing Sam enjoying the sun with Ruby. It was a little too 'peopley' out there for his liking, but he wanted to be with his two girls, so he headed out with Ghost, allowing the wolf to head off and enjoy the pond. He plopped down beside Sam and Ruby, plucking a dandelion and rubbing the pedals underneath Sam's nose....

"Looks like everyone is out here today. We might get cooties."

Troy had survived his ordeal thanks to Mikko's blood, and he had kept the fangs and glowy yellow eyes when angered. He also had the occasional overwhelming craving for blood, but for the most part he was able to keep himself in control. After Vic stepped down from doing supply runs with Flag, Troy had taken on that role, dividing his time between Guard duty and supply runs, and spending quality time with his girl, Rain.

He had finally had that talk with Thorn and while it was clear that Thorn couldn't forgive him, at least they could co exist without drama. Life was good.

It was another beautiful, sunny day and Troy was out and about, spotting Wade up in the guard tower. He climbed up and plopped down in one of the chairs.

"Still nothing out there, huh? Almost kinda wish for some excitement. You need me to take over?"

Sam's nose twitched at the flower. She looked up at Thorn and smiled.

Hey sexy. Yeah everyone is out today. It's a nice day so can't blame them.

She sat up and adjusted Ruby's hat to keep the sun off her. She then leaned over to Thorn and kissed him deeply.

Mmmm lips like candy.

Wade was thankful for the company when Troy joined him on the tower.

Be careful what you wish for. But yeah it has been slow. The only thing out there is the screamers and zombies. nothing dangerous. and nah, I got this but I don't mind the company.

Shen emerged from her cocoon into her parents lovings arms, her siblings wrapping about them six months.

Uncle Mikey, Lilo and their hatched beautifully bronzed perfectly mixed mutant turtle and human triplets were there.

She broke up with Spike soon after her first meal, flight on her larger stronger wings, bath.

Sure maaaaybe he kept his word and helped watch over her cocoon, but she can't forget he was so dismissive of her, of how beautiful Shell City was as a home, and yet there was only complaints from him to Vic and Mikko about her wanting more and the place that welcomed him and gave him work.

They are simply incompatible.

So whilst she is friendly with him on visits to the farm whether diplomatic, bringing goods like harvested wood, fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and crop seedlings or just to hang with Uncles, or Jade quiet often, if she hangs with Spike at all it's only as friends and now as she and Leatherhead become closer, to the point they have built their own tree house community In a more swampy area, away from other communities, and only accessible by riverways, protected by the hiddenness of the tree homes and the swamp and jungle surrounding it, growing beautiful woods, and a variety of fruits and vegetables they share with other communities. Simply calling their home The Mangroves. Of course anyone can visit though
none have been so far save her Uncle Mike andilo, their kids some O'Hana exchange people, her parents of course, siblings and their exchange people too. Still not a reckless open gate policy, people are vetted and checked coming and going in the small Harbour. Makes it harder for spies to be about all the time. And it's only accessible via smallish boats. Safe guarded by their own improved small group of Leroys, some of their own guard from among their small but growing population and some of the sirens. And the swamps then mangroves themselves are a barrier for most would be attackers.

Still in the growing stages but like their population getting there.

Yoshi spent a lot of his time travelling. And when he was visiting it was usually to see Jade, visit his sister and her mates new place, The Mangroves, there was a deep channel water way he could take and spend most of his time lounging in water there. It was a beautiful secret place.

Much like his parents and their peoples now home. Windjana.

He was effectively sterile as far as mating went. Doesn't mean he doesn't or can't pair bond with someone. But hasn't happened yet and he's in no rush. Happy to travel, to visit.

Some of his wyvern where with Shen, some with his folks, some with Jade and uncles at The Farm. Helping guard or however is needed.

And no they don't make safe eating.

Hunter loved to fly, he couldn't wait! " Come on Lessgo Lessgo!" as he grew he lost his baby more sedate colours for a more vivid green, blue head, a swatch of orange on his chest and under wings going out to a reds and more blue for belly and yellow green tail. Rather like a rainbow lorikeet. In indoraptor shape, about the size of a thoroughbred horse at this stage of his life with wing arms. His tail had wicked long sharp blade like scales running down it one four sides, meant for bark harvesting and his venom for defense.

Not a fire breather.

Jade's tiny Beeyvern friend built herself and hive. Repurposing Shen's cocoon in the willow tree, now a bustling thriving hive that did make safe to consume sliiightly spicy but sweet honey. Jade's little friend was slightly bigger than all her hive mates and a queen now but still visited Jade and when not at her hive spent most of her busy bee time hanging on Jade's shoulder.

Well he did take Jade's advice.

Made it more official between himself and Lilo, though they still had off siders on occasion for fun, they were mostly just with each other and their triplets. Their daughter Riptide, and sons Tsunami and Typhoon.

His hilarious, busy, beautiful half islander babies. Thanks to Erica.

So he lives as Lilos Chief of OHana. Helping her run it. And it means he only visits now and then his brothers, nieces and nephews. But when he is there he one trading runs, mercy missions or just visits he tries to teach no cooking skills he has found.

O'Hana, Windjana and The Mangroves were still mostly vegetarian only communities. For lack of at the moment meat that isn't murdered humans to eat save for the few varieties of the first meat melons he is off to hand out for a trail run to places like The Farm and The Mangroves and Windjana.

First visit The farm, soooo he is not too far behind Megan and Cindy, waving out of the window when he pulls up in the battle shell he uses to get around on this continent his triplets in their car seats strapped in the front to come visiting with him.

Leo had taken his mate, his young ones and those people that didn't stay in O'Hana or move to The Mangroves to a new home.

Windjana was out on a more mountainous part of coastline, protected from undead, weird created creatures and people alike being a, quiet a distance from anywhere, and b, built amongst the undersides, sides and underhangings of ragged cliffs of the coastline. Beautiful and away there is just no way from land, sky or sea for anyone to try a sneak attack. No hordes or anything can come creeping up and expect to simply be in Windjana. Anything trying to get there without knowing the way is likely to just topple off the cliff tops to the waters below.

And all are welcomed to visit, even if no had yet and that's fine. It is advised to radio ahead though and be met on the road and shown the way safely.

No to mention they were not no where near done constructions of all homes and places yet. Quiet a lot had been done of course but plenty more to do.


Of course after Shen's awakening he and Erica still visited The Farm regularly, Erica making a point to visit Harley. Maybe hoping to make a friend beside Lilo of course. As well as to see his family there.

Also regular visits to The Mangroves and every now and then out to O'Hana.

Shadow went home eventually, seeing as Donnie had no interest in her really she made no further attempts either. But she still visited the Farm on occasion when visiting from her far far away Transylvania homeland. The variety of blood melons grown there had a particularly satisfying feel and fullness.

She was out right now visiting The Mangroves. Sure like Windjana in the beginnings stages of becoming something, it was so far... Beautiful, a secretive, green hidden world.

Ryn was at The Farm.

Visiting but also there on important business. As suggested long ago before the loss of Shell City the offer of a troop Leroys as standing soldiers.

Of course as it took some time to upgrade them to this time better handle creatures like Splicers only now where new troops and their troop leading sirens being offered again. Soooo here she is waiting to catch up with Farm Leaders, show off the new improved red cute and fluffy Stitch look a likes and see if it's still something their interested in.


Annnnd the pond was a cooled swim spot. Annnnd she liked visiting Jade.

Soon there was another visitor. Seemed the farm was popular today. Wade waved back and opened the gate for Mike.

Spike had been dumped by Shen. It was for the best really he could never meet her high expectations.

He decided to move to the farm where he made a home for himself. He and Ezra became besties and he loved working at the daycare watching the little ones.

Today was sunny, perfect for a swim and sun bathing. He was in the pond splashing around and diving to the deeper end of the pond. He could stay under water for up to an hour. But he was practicing staying under even longer. Who knew when his underwater skills would come in handy.

Things didn't work out between Don and Shadow. Don thought she was cute and all, but really wanted a mortal that he could grow old with. Though it seemed like that would never happen. Over the year he hadn't met anyone else outside of the farm.

He helped with security of the farm. With the tech that Bishop left behind, he and Baxter were able to build some good stuff. new weapons, new communication devices.

Things had been quiet over the last year.

Today, like everyone else he was sun bathing, that was until he spotted Mike pulling up. Don got up to go greet his brother.
