Years gone by

Lexi wanted to say that she was okay. And physically she was. Mentally was a completely different story. Still she mustered up that weak smile and gave a small nod, confirming that she was coping the best a worried mother could.

"It's been a long day." She responded, though felt it was an understatement. When he asked if they needed additional assistance, she spared Laz a glance, he was being too quiet. Though, she knew that Leo would never do anything to hurt one of them...

"We could use all the help we can get, thank you."

Laz was pissed. But he had to remind himself that even he had attacked Lexi when he wasn't himself. He had been quiet deep in thought. He wanted to talk to Owen but not until Zoe was out of danger.

He did look up when Leo came in. And nodded his head in agreement with Lexi.

Thank you. Any help you are willing to give would be great.

Dixie leaned into Soren as they walked, sparing him a look of disbelief, but an amused grin stretched across her lips. "Father in law? You like me that much, huh?" They had just met, but she really liked the guy, too. He was edgy and cool. He matched her rebellious energy.

It didn't take them long to reach the infirmary. They stepped inside to see Dean awake. That earned a smile. "Hey, Slacker. How are you feeling?" But then she realized that Erica was there. The leader of ShellCity. Her smile quickly faded, anxiety rapidly settling in. Was she investigating the attack?? She spared Dean a pleading look and faintly shook her head, hoping her friend wouldn't tell the truth....

Jade was briefly distracted by Ezra and the kiss against her cheek. She smiled, blushing ever so slightly. She loved the way he made her feel. His question brought her back down to earth...

"I don't think we're alone..." She could definitely sense Ryn's presence and could have sworn she saw the outline of a flipper beneath the water...

Whatever it was, she felt it was not a threat. The water was buzzing with people and no attacks had happened...

"I'll be right back!" She kissed Ezra's check and dove beneath the water, her nictating eyelids sliding over her eyes as she homed in on the shape, swimming towards her...

Harley scooted next to Wade, her eyes growing wide when he unearthed the container of cookies! "Oh my God, no way!!" She was quick to snag a star shaped one and broke off a corner, popping it into her mouth. Her eyes fluttered, sighing in happiness as she savored the sweetness.

"Wow, these are soooo good! You and Maggie are my heroes right now." She grinned, having to refrain from making short work of her treat and devouring the rest. She was sure the kids would appreciate the rare treat.

"I'm gonna need for her fo show me how to make these." She said, rubbing her tummy. "I think lil Squishy approves."

Chris and Gabe were sending quiet glares at each other. Chris didn't appreciate how small Gabe always tried to make him feel, but he was trying to be civil, for the girls' sake.

"Marshmallow's can't be that hard to make, right?"

Gabe just rolled his eyes. "We could make some out of fish poop and eyeballs...hey.. I dare you to go ask Harley if she wears underwear..."

Yeah I like you. You're cool and shit. Plus a hell of a lay. Wouldn't mind having that ass every night. Soren compimented and smacked her backside.

Dean gave the two a wave. he noticed the look Dixie was giving him but he was still deciding if he would tell or not.

I'm ready to get out of here. Dean told them. You two look cozy together. I really hope you didn't do anything on my bed.

Soren grinned. Nah just your couch.

Dean wrinkled his nose but shrugged it off.

Ezra was going to swim after Jade. But, he knew that she was a much better and faster swimmer than him. So he just floated on his back. it was prety peaceful until Anton ruined it.

Anton spotted Ezra and leaped on top of him sending them both under water.

Ezra shot back up and looked around for what jumped him and seen Anton laughing. Stay away from me you little freak! He hated Anton ever since they were kids. Why was he here?

Anton, not liking being called a freak went at Ezra. It soon became a fight but Ezra was bigger and stronger, lifting Anton up and throwing him away.

Wade was excited about Harley's upcoming baby. He leaned down by her stomach to talk to the baby.

I'm going to teach you everything I know. And I know A lot. So be ready.

He then looked up at Blaze and booped the baby's nose. Gonna do the same for you when you're older.

Both Jinx and Mikko rolled their eyes at the men.

All you need to make mellows are the plant. But we don't have that here. we can roast potatoes! It'll be like home made frinch fries.

Mikko spanked Gabe. Be nice. And fries sound delicious.

It didn't take Blaze long to grow bored of the older kids, mostly because they seemed to ignore him. He debated going into the pond, but then he noticed Wade sitting  beside his mother and decided to go see him. He liked that guy! The little one smiled when Wade booped him and he reached for a cookie, choosing a heart over a star.


"Oh no, Blaze is gonna be a romantic when he grows up..." She lightly joked. Blaze had no idea what she was talking about so giggled in response...

She knew that Blaze was often left out because of his age. All of the other kids were around the same age, so he was outcasted. Maybe the little one she was carrying now would even things out.

It made Harley feel good that Wade wanted to be a part of her kids' lives. He was a good dude. "You gonna teach my littles to be sexy assassins?" She playfully wiggled her brows.

Chris glared at Gabe. Did the dude actually think he wouldn't do it?! "I'll be back...." With that, he headed out to where Wade and Harley were sitting...

"Hey, Wade..." He nodded to the guy. His attention then shifted to Harley.


"Harley, Gabriel would like to know if you wear underwear...."


Gabe snorted when Chris headed out of the house, but had no idea that his name was being thrown into it. "He's actually doin' it? Dumbass..."

I can show him how to be romantic. I myself am a romantic. Romantic sexy assassins! Wade said reaching out and ruffling Blaze's hair.

Wade's attention turned to Chris when he walked up he said his hellos and snorted at the question.

Why is he looking to borrow some of her undies?

They were interrupted by Chris and Harley was taken aback by his question, but she was more amused than offended. She chuckled at Chris.


"It really depends...but mostly....no. Panties complicate things, you know? Say you're in the mood, takes longer to take 'em off..."

Chris was satisfied with that response, though it meant no Flag repellent for them. "Yeah, I think Gabe is secretly infatuated with Harley. Actually, we were having this debate. If we all wore Harley's panties, then Flag wouldn't attack us..." He told them. 


Harley snorted at that, and couldn't help imagine them all running around in her underwear. "Sorry, Chris. Even if I wore them regularly, I doubt anything I have would fit you. But, wearin' my undies would cause more problems, don't you think? I mean, Flag would probably beat your ass if you boys wore my panties. Ya'll are worryin' too much. Flag ain't gonna hurt ya..."

Chris held up his bandaged arm as a reminder. Harley just rolled her eyes. "Stop bringin' up the past. That was last night!"

She will make sure the very ill lady is resting peacefully before turning and offering Dean a very elegant curtsey for the bravo. Oh she could do many things with her voice. Some she was only discovering how strong it was.


Moving to a side of his bed almost silently, maybe the soft blue fabric of her dress brushes the floor. And she is there and smiling amused by the chatter of the younger ones.


And her friendly expression doesn't change as she reaches for the chart on the end of Dean's bed, lifting it to see what it said. ((Ooc: Is Dean okay to leave the bed?))


And even so it looks like she is not aware of facial expressions, and her voice still has a lingering ethereal but polite and friendly tone as she speaks up. " Hello Soren, Dixie, Dean... as long as those looks are not about the couch - is it something I should know?"


Blue as Hawaiian waters eyes looked up at the faces around her.


She had actually guessed about that but there had been a change in the heart beats around her.

Dean thought about telling Erica what Dwight had done. But now that it came time for him to say something he decided not to.

It's nothing I can't handle. He told her finally.

Dean was well enough to return home. He just needed the ok. Plus it was nice being waited on and having Beth be all worried over him. He loved the attenion.

She listens, partially to Dean's words, as she reads carefully over the chart entirely looking for any annotations that hinted he had to stay absolutely put right there.


But she is also listening to heart rates and the rate of breathing changes, she is listening for anything that might hint at anxiety or rushing or relief that maaaay back up the suspicion she has that Dean was not very honest with her right then.


Even so and it will spark more investigation, for now she puts the chart back after slipping the papers filled with Dean's reports on it and folded them carefully. It's paper made from pulped old newspapers that were never delivered so long ago. What Dean will choose to do with it now was up to him. " this says you are able to leave if you wish with some notes to make sure to rest often, eat well and much fluid as you can handle... So here and you have the medical staffs blessing to go..." she will give Dean his paperwork. And smile at them all. " Don't ever be afraid to be honest with us when you want to and can."


Stepping back so the other two can still talk with her if they wish but also there was an amount of privacy for them and Dean to get up. A space for them to just leave if they wanted to.


Curious but trusting Raph, Leo or Jade may know the full story sometime and everything will come to light eventually.

Yes! She rewards the young female genio innocuo for joining her with a hint of her just ahead. And she heard tales that these beings where excellent swimmers so it was a bit of a thrill to put that to the test.

Not intending to take her too afr from the others, just among the fall grassy reeds so they had enough privacy and plenty of warning time for Run to swim away should the human come crashing after them.


It's here she will stop, allow the other girl to catch up with her fully, and in the sort of shallowness of the reed grass let her see all of Ryn, from her hair and bright bright blue eyes, the shimmering skin and webbed hands, the long dolphin like tail, all of her fins, those along her sides from hips to flukes spread, the spins along her back only half raised and the gills along her ribs, fluttering in the shallow water.

Leonardo nodded, a deep understanding, and he will not offer pointless promises that everything will be fine, mostly because he doesn't know, and well he preferred honest acts of comfort however small, so it's a gently offering of a hand on Lexis shoulder with a light squeeze if she accepts a light pat if not and a hand out to shake Laz's lightly, before he will bring his hands back to himself and prepare to make the hand motions for his chi channelling. " Rick has a upgraded phone to contact us. If anyone is in need of specialist care, or medicine or equipment, don't hesitate to ask." he expects the same nah we are fine from the two as he begins to focus, big deep breaths that unless your watching wouldn't actually know he is doing. But the offer is sincere and well Donatello's brilliance in machines and medical has only grown. And seem to do so the more he taught others he found had particular skills sets of proficiency and talents to train to be doctors.


Though he preferred the term Healers.


The healing hands chant went through Leo's mind, he didn't need to say it out loud any more, his eyes had a blueish glow as his hands took on whitish blue faint flows, his chi manifesting, he smiles and lowers hands to Zoe. He doesn't know how bad it is and all he will do is heal bruising, swelling, help a fever break... Give her a strength and warm... Leo had vast amounts of both to spare.


And maybe it would help her? He hopes and looks to Lazy and or Lexi to guide him to others if there are more in here that could use his help. " anybody have a full report of everything that happened?" the question is gentle, not pushing for answer, they could say no and he'll accept that.

Laz watched Leo use some kind of magic to help Zoe heal. Between Leo and Wade he was sure that Zoe would be ok in the end and was thankful for all the help. He was mostly thankful that they didn't have to relay on Mikko's blood. That's what got them into this mess in the start.

Owen, her boyfriend is infected with Mikko's blood. So he's not quite himself right now. Zoe must have went to the prison to check on him and got to too close to the cell and he bit her. I know it wasn't his fault, Well it is, but isn't at the same time. Doesn't stop me from being mad about it though.

Dixie was literally holding her breath, waiting for Dean to answer. She was scared. She remembered being little and her dad being locked up like an animal. It happened several times. She remembered how hard it was on her, and her mother. She remembered how they had to move...she didn't want to have to go through that again.....

But then Dean answered, letting her father off the hook, or so it seemed. She was finally able to release her breath, realizing only now that she had been retaining it. She spared Erica a nervous smile, relieved that her father wouldn't be thrown in a prison again, or worse. She always feared that someday, the communities would deem him too dangerous to keep alive. She was a daddy's girl and would do anything to keep that from happening....

"Yeah...the couch! If we could just keep all of that a secret, huh? My parents don't need to know I see guys, they still think I'm four." She then looked at Dean. "Soren and I will make sure you get home."

Noah was shaken over what he had to do, replaying it in his mind when the danger had lifted. Maybe he should have tried pulling the kid off instead, but that would have cost valuable seconds- seconds that Sandy may not have had. He had to make the difficult choice, but at least his wife was safe and unharmed. He returned the hug, giving her a gentle squeeze....

Seeing how terrified the kids were of him, Dwight decided to put the fear in them. He exposed his fangs and charged at the little brats, grabbing one of them and pinning them against a tree.


"If we ever see you again, I will bring my kind and we will rip you apart. I suggest you rugrats pack up and move far away from here..." He warned before releasing the terrified child.

Erica, listens to breathing, to the heartbeats, meets eyes, notes nervous smiles... annnnd she moves away, leaving a sweet scent of lilacs and gooseberries behind and a totally 'Mom is not buying it...' toned. " uh huh." she didn't believe them. At all. But wasn't in the mood for more truth dodging and lies.


The story would be found out.


Whether it means loss of access to Shell City and some of the protections that come from being in their good graces was on them entirely. Especially if it was a threat to their citizens in the long run.


She instead moves among other patients. Offering some more of that song, soothing... healing...

The kids were defenitly freaked out. They were use to the zombies or Deaders as they called them. But seeing a vampire was new. And the vampire mentioned that there was more than just him running around.

The leader held his group back not wanting anyone else to get killed. It was bad enough they lost a couple of their numbers.

Fine. Go. But we'll be around.

Negan made an, i'm watching you motion as the group left the kids.

Sandy rolled her eyes at that as she took Noah's hand and gave it a squeeze. She knew it must have been eating him up that he had to kill a child. But he had also saved her life.
