Life goes on (a year after immortal beginnings. )

We do. Ivy agreed. But right now I need rest. and food. I've been driving for a while. And I think Flag is waiting for you. She gave Harley another hug and looked over at Aaron.

Sherry said her goodbyes and closed the door. She found Dwight and Angel in the kitchen.

Sorry you had to come home so soon. I'm sure tomorrow your mom will be able to spend all day with you. She told Angel giving him a hug.

Angel hugged her back and nodded. He didn't really believe that his mom would make time for him, but he still had hope.

You want me to cook something up? She asked Dwight, kissing his cheek.

Vic said we can't eat the chickens. Angel said matter of factly.

Sherry chuckled and nodded, That's right. you have to wait till they make more chickens then you can eat one. It wont take too long promise.

wade was happy that he was wanted by the two of them. The usual mouthy merk was unusually quiet. He liked this. A pretty woman by his side, and a happy kid playing with his best friend dog. Yeah he needed to introduce Anton to them soon. Hopefully his son would play nice.

He opened his mouth to speak but got quiet when he heard a soft meow.

Sounds like a kitten. He got up and looked around some of the trees that were still standing. He found the five little kittens. But so did a screamer. He was face to face with a hungry screamer. He tried to shoo the thing away but it only got him hissed at. He drew his gun and again tried to peacefully shoo it away but the thing attacked him!

Rackett grabbed a plastic bag from the floor and put in a few fruits and veg. He wouldn't worry about the seafood. Hell he didn't know how to cook what he had picked out. But he was sure he could figure it out.

After his shopping was done he turned to Troy.

I'm sure this will be enough for a while. I don't eat much. Which was evident by his think frame.

I don't mind being a roommate. As long as they're cool. Crazy question, but you guys grow weed here? Been a while since I had a smoke.

Mikko got the roof all cleaned then hopped off the roof top. She peaked into an open window. All clean.

Digger jumped a little at her sudden apearence. Thanks. go back home now.

Mikko gave a salute and headed home. She walked inside and found Vic with the babies.

I'm home. Want me to take over?

Lydia was on high alert after hearing all the screamers in the farm. But finally everything went silent again. She peaked out the window and seen Troy with some new guy.

Looks like we have a visitor maybe a new neighbor. he's kinda cute.

Hearing there was a cute guy outside Aaliyah looked out the window too. Can I go say hi?

Loki had been bouncing back and forth from earth to Asgard. Thor was missing, his father was dead so that left him to take the throne. And he did so, now ruling over Asgard, or so he liked to think. Most didn't like him, and there was a violent uprising starting.

After one of his rare followers told him of this uprising. Loki headed back to earth. Because he didn't need that kind of negativity in his life.

He made his way to Oceanside. But unlike others who waited to be let in at the gate, Loki let himself him. portelling into the middle of the town.

Loki looked around him and smiled to himself. This would be a nice vacation spot until things back home settled down. He smiled over at a group of women.

Good evening, Ladies.

Harley watched as her friend left with Aaron. She started to head off with Flag, but then a portal opened and a familiar face appeared. He was off in the distance, now talking to a group of girls but Harley thought it would be rude of her not to at least say hello! So she headed over and gave his backside a smack.


"Loki!! Hiya! Long time no see!!!


Flag just rolled his eyes. They had come here to get away from drama but it looked like there would be some. Alarmed by the sudden appearance of the newcomer, guards headed in their direction to investigate the situation....


For now, Aaron was unaware of the situation. He had taken Ivy to get fresh water and gas, then showed her to one of the little cabins close to the beach. It was small, but perfect for a single person to rest, or to call her own if she chose to stay, but Aaron was almost certain the red head would be leaving with Harley.

"There are dry goods in the food pantry. Seafood in the fridge. We usually keep these little cabins stocked for travelers that need to stop and seek shelter during their travels. If you need anything, just let me know."

Troy chuckled at Rackett's question. "Yeah, you'll wanna see Gabe. He grows weed, and it's top tier." He told the guy. "I can take you to his place, unless you wanted to rest first."

Gabriel glanced out the window. At first he didn't recognize the guy... but then he did. Oy. He frowned and shook his head at Aaliyah. "Not right now...." He did NOT like the idea of Rackett being here!! But, it had been twenty four years.. maybe the guy had changed. They all had. They all had to to survive this world. Hell, he was no longer a gang member and he knew that would be the truth for the ex Turk, too.

"Stay put!" Alyce ordered her son, and rushed to help Wade. She hissed at the Screamers, bearing her fangs and eyes glowing black as her hiss turned into a loud, intimidating growl. She grabbed the one that had gone after Wade and slung it away. She could have killed the thing, but she had remained at peace with them and would like to keep it that way. But if they continued to attack, she would have no choice.


"Go away!" She ordered, knowing they probably wouldn't understand the words, but would get the hint from her tone.

Vic was almost finished cleaning up Draven when Mikko returned. He was glad that she was home, it had been a long night. Hopefully nothing else would happen. "Nah, I'm almost done. You should have seen how fast Thorn got out of here when he realized Draven needed to be changed." He chuckled.


"But, on a more serious note, Angel is pretty upset. He... thinks you don't like him. I tried to assure him that isn't the case and.. kinda promised that tomorrow he could spend the whole day. I hope that's okay."

The kids were so relieved to hear that the Screamers were gone, and no more monsters. Ally was happy to have her husband back home. She wrapped her arms around Digger and gave him a squeeze.

"Is this what Harley has to go through all the time with Flag? No wonder she's crazy..." She kissed him softly. Honestly, she hated that he was second in command, but wouldn't voice that. She knew that her husband had earned the right to be in that position. She also knew that Flag and Digger had a history, and it had not always been so great between them, so the fact the leader had given him that honor was a testament of his growth. She was proud. Scared, every time he had to handle a situation, but proud.


Star was hoping the adults would hurry up and go to bed!! She had a very important mission that she knew they would not approve of, but her daddy needed to know what was happening here without him!!

Mikko grinned at the thought of Thorn grossed out by the dirty diaper. But then Vic told her about Angel and the smile dropped.

It shouldn't wait till tomorrow. I need to spend more time with him. Why don't we bring him back tonight and he can sleep over. and I can talk to him. I'm sure Dwight and Sherry would like the night alone too.

Rackett thought that name sounded familer. He knew a Gabe long ago. Good it be the same guy he fought with countless times. He had to know.

Let's pay Gabe a visit. Then I can get out of your hair. I'm sure you have better shit to do than walk me around.

Wade wouldn't have to worry with Alyce around. Once she got close the screamers retreated. Wade sat up and gave his woman a cheeky grin.

That was hot. Thanks for the save. I'm sure the kittens thank you too.

Dogpool stood close by Zane keeping a watchful eye on him.

Loki was so distracted with the women he was talking to that he didn't see Harley come up to him. The smack to his backside made him jump a little. He spun around and smiled at Harley.

Harley! He took her hand and kissed the top of it.

I think my presence has alerted the guards.

Loki sighed and put an arm around Harley. You here for vacation or work? How about you and I get a little cabin by the water. He was ignoring the guards and Flag. What woman could resist his charm?

Harley smiled at Loki, chuckling at his 'offer'. She remembered how arrogant he had been the first time she had ever met him. He was cute, sure.. but his personality needed a little work. She allowed the arm around her shoulder, because it only seemed fair since she had smacked his butt.

"Vacation. And, you're cute and all, but I'm here with my husband." She gestured towards Flag, just in case Loki forgot who she was married to.


The guards approached, some had their guns drawn, but knowing they would probably be useless against someone that had just come through a portal. "If you are looking for refuge, the polite thing would be to ask. What are you doing here?" One of the men asked.

Vic nodded at that. Secretly he was worried about Angel being around the babies overnight, but he was Mikko's son and she did need to spend time with him. Maybe everything would be okay after she had a little chat with him, and they would just watch him closely.


"Yeah, I don't think it should wait, either. I know he was pretty upset. I can take care of the babies if you wanted to go get him..." But then he remembered she was on house arrest... "Or I could go."

Loke gave Flag a wave and let Harley go. He had no fear of Flag or any man. But he wasn't there to start drama...yet.

When the men walked up to him he gave a friendly smile. Earth is no place for refuge Beach or not. This place is a shit show. But back home is getting a little stressful too. I'm not here to stay. Just wanted to dip my toes in some sand for a few hours.

Can you get him? I have a feeling that if I do one more thing to piss Digger off he'll have me locked up.

I'll put these three to bed while you do that.

Mikko gave Vic a soft kiss and a little butt squeeze.

Vic smiled and returned the butt squeeze as he kissed her. "I'll go get him." He stole one more kiss before heading out and back to Sherry and Dwight's. He knocked on the door and waited.

The guards eased a little hearing that Loki was only planning on staying for a few hours. They would just have someone keep an eye on the guy. Just in case he decided to be a problem. "Well if you need food or fresh water, just let one of our guards know. We will send Aaron over to speak with you once he's done with the red head."


"Ivy. Her name is Ivy. " Harley told the guard as she made her way over to Flag, slipping an arm around him. She didn't need him going after Loki, after all. Not that the guy was giving any reason for that. Maybe he would stay peaceful. "Hey guards, ask Loki where he's from..." She suggested with a giggle.


Flag rolled his eyes. "Harley."


"What. It's funny!"

Thankfully the Screamers left without an issue. Alyce spared a little smile at Wade, but then remembered the little kittens when he mentioned them. It had been so long since she had seen a kitten, or a cat for that matter. She knelt down and caregully scooped up a little black one. The little furballs were understandably scared. She gave it a gentle pat.


"It seems you are the animal savior."

Truthfully, Troy just wanted to head to the tower, but he would do as Digger had asked of him first. Rackett wanted to visit Gabe, so he nodded and gestured him along. They were soon at Gabe's place. Troy knocked on the door. Gabe had been watching out the window and rolled his eyes when the two headed to his house, and were now on his porch, knocking. He grumbled under his breath and instructed Aaliyah to stay back as he opened the door...

"Gabe, this is Rackett. He's new here. And looking for weed..."


Gabe gave a little nod, giving Rackett a once over. He still looked the same, though, older. "Guess you don't remember me, huh." He asked, tone guarded but nonthreatening. The world had died, people changed. So maybe this guy had, too.
