Life Change

A young teen girl walked down the street bored out of her skull she had spent most of the afternoon and early evening playing basketball with her friends until it got to dark to see. While that had been fun she didn't want to go home just yet mainly because of homework so she decided to take the scenic route. Yeah the area she was in wasn't that great to begin with but she could handle herself just fine.

" Man nothing ever happens around here just the same old thing day in and day out. I just want something to happen like maybe finding out superheros or something like that exists. But that will never happen." Mel commented with a stretch as she kept walking down the street.

SUPER MIKKO!!!!!!!!! Mikko called out from the roof top. She had over heard the young girl from the street talking to herself and who was she to deny the hopes and dreams of a child.

She leaped down from the roof, to another roof, to a ladder, to the dumpster, to the ground.

Thank you! Thank you! That little show was twenty bucks. Pay up, Sugar Tits. Mikko told the girl and held out her hand.

Mikko was dressed in baggy blue jeans that were duct taped up, and a gray hoodie with the hood up. the front of the hoodie had a large DeadPool symbol on it. Her fingers were painted in a lovely shade of black glitter, and her shoes lit up! Because ALL bad asses had light up shoes.

Mel jumped back in surprise at the woman being crazy then she demanded pay as if it was some sort of show.

" Why should I pay you? I didn't ask for you to do anything besides I don't have any money on me." She told the woman as she started to walk past her to continue to head home. It wasn't that big of a deal but still she had been taught to stay away from crazy people just in case. Sure she could defend herself with martial arts even though it was taught to be a last resort and not the first.

Mikko pouted as the girl walked off. But the pout would last long.

Making friends? The male voice asked behind her.

Mikko turned around and squealed happily. Bebop! My piggy! She leaped into his arms and he easily caught her.

Rock is waiting for us. I've been looking fucking everywhere for you.

You must look to the skies.

Or, you can stay on the damn ground. Pigs don't fly.

" Did I just hear that?" Mel asked herself as she turned around and sure enough there it was a walking and talking pig wearing clothes. It was way to out there to be a costume and not be the real deal. Still it made her stop in her tracks not sure wether she should be freaking out or not.

" I can't believe what I'm seeing but the eyes don't lie. Who are you?" She asked curious and confused there was no way she could tell anyone about this no one would believe it.

Bebop was about to walk off with Mikko when that kid came back asking questions. He found it pretty rude actually. Who did that? Just approach someone and start demanding to know who they were. Unless you were a cop. And even then he wouldn't answer!

Bebop gave an annoyed snort in the kid's direction. He then looked at Mikko and a small (really small) light bulb went off.

I'll tell ya for twenty bucks. He said.

" Well you're not getting any money like I told that woman I don't have any on me. So you can forget about that pig man." She replied crossing her arms and unable to resist sticking her tongue out at him. She wasn't afraid of them she could out run the pig and probably take the woman down if she had to.

Sassy. Bebop commented. He lit a joint and passed it to Mikko who was sitting on his shoulders now. The woman had taken off her hood and now her long purple pig tails fell over her shoulders.

Come one. We have to go. And I think it's passed her bedtime.

Yeah. she doesn't look like she has anything worth taking either. Waste of bullets. ok. By kid.

The warthog then turned and started to head back down the street to wherever they were meeting their friend.

" Figures come across criminals even though one is a cool pig man. Screw it I'm gonna follow them nothing bad should happen." She told herself quietly as she started to follow sticking to the shadows while moving quietly. Yes she was giving into her curiosity but hey YOLO and if anything happens she would just run.

But what Mel didn't realize is that pigs have a wonderful sense of smell. Mutant pigs, even more so. Bebop quickly picked up that she was following them. He didn't say anything about though and kept walking and chatting with Mikko as if he didn't know anything.

He had to hand it to the strange kid. She had balls to follow them after knowing that he had weapons on him, and that they would have robbed her had they thought she had something worth anything. Or maybe she had some mental illness. Was she homeless? If she was homeless then no one would be looking for her, and he and Rock could make back selling her off to those Asian guys. He suspected it was some sex trade thing, none of his business.

Or would her organs make more money? Hmmmm...Maybe he would have to shop around for the best deal on human trafficking.

Finally the two were at the apartment. They were nice. Not top of the line apartments. but not the slums either. Just your avarage apartments. The one they went up to was on the ground floor. Mikko jumped off Bebop's shoulders and they walked inside without knocking. There's was a loud greeting along with the sound of loud music playing. Then the door closed behind them.

" Well I sure as hell not going in there but maybe I can peek into the window." She commented as she walked to a window peeking into from around the corner. She was going to be so grounded when she got home but hey it would be so worth it. So far she couldn't see anything but she could wait for a few minutes and if she saw nothing she could just leave like it never happened.

Bebop and Rocksteady were standing in front of the window talking. Mikko was sitting on the couch with a very large pitbull dog laying on her lap begging for belly rubs.

It was Rocksteady that noticed the girl in the window. At first he thought he was seeing things. Like Bebop, his eyesight had diminished a bit with the mutation. But when he looked again, there was in fact, a girl in the window.

Friend of yours? He asked Bebop motioning to the window.

Bebop turned to the window, then stormed over and opened the window up and pulled the girl inside. This got the dog's attention and he jumped off the couch and started to growl.

" Hey! Let me go!" She yelled struggling in the pig's grasp before seeing the mutant rhino and large dog. Well crap she got herself in some deep trouble sure she had always been adventurous but she never ended up getting grabbed and pulled into an unknown apartment. Growling she aimed a kick at the pig's junk hoping she was able to reach it.

Luckily for Bebop, the dog jumped in the way and got the kick instead. That made Rocky more pissed and he grabbed the girl by both arms lifting her off the floor. Bebop then reached down and grabbed her legs.

What are we doing with her? Bebop asked as he held her legs.

Uh.....Mikko get the scissors. Rocksteady ordered.

Mikko had the pit back on the couch and went to get the scissors having no idea why he would need them. While she was out of the room the two mutants continued to talk.

Ok, Bee. This is what we're gonna do. We're gonna strip her down. Then put her in the basement. We can chain her up with Pibble's chain, she can sleep in his dog house and shit.

So we're kidnapping and holding her hostage? What's the end game plan?

That's for me to figure out.

Mikko came back with the scissors. Ok. So what are we doing?

Snip her cloths off.

Mikko looked at Rocksteady like he had grown another head. Ok....No.

" Let me go damn it! I don't want to be stripped naked you fucking sickos!" Mel screamed as she struggled in their grasps but didn't have a good angle in getting loose. She couldn't bite them their arms weren't close enough for her to try and they were much stronger than she was.

" Hey lady I need help!" She yelled at the woman she seemed to not want to do this at least and maybe would help her.

Mikko glanced at the two guys and set the scissors down on the coffee table.

Let her go.

But she was spying on us. How do we know she isn't working for someone? We need to check her for wires, microphones, a bug.

Bebop nodded, to him that actually sounded reasonable. He's got a point. She could be a narc or something.

Right, the random girl who didn't have money on her and was heading home and who didn't even know we existed is spying on you guys for someone. Let. Her. Go.

Bebop let Mel's legs drop and stepped away. Rock gave him a WTF look and Bebop shook his head. Hey, man. I wanna get laid tonight. So I do what the lady says.

" I didn't know mutants existed so I got curious when I saw the pig man and followed that's all. So let me go go rhino boy!" Mel yelled at the rhino struggling against him. Christ those two were paranoid and tightly wound for some stupid reason. She looked at the woman grateful that she wasn't going to let them go with their crazy plans.

Rocksteady finally let the girl go, letting her drop to the floor. Pibble the dog ran up to Mel and started to slobber her face with kisses.

Rock snorted and lit a joint. Mutant or not, still rude to be peaking into people's homes.

Mikko rolled her eyes at the rhino and sat back on the couch. He isn't right. But he's also got no room to talk. I'm Mikko. The pig man is Bebop, and that's Rocksteady.

Bebop handed Mel a beer as he passed her and sat on the couch, pulling Mikko onto his lap. Pibble was still attacking Mel with kisses.

That's Pibble. She's our oh so mighty guard dog. she'll slowly sufficate you with her tongue.

" And if you weren't mutants both of you would be arrested for kidnapping. I'm Melissa Andreas but I go by as Mel." The teen replied petting the dog putting the beer on the ground not interested in it.

" Sorry I don't drink can't do sports if I do and my parents would kill me." She told them as she got up not wanting to stick around any longer than she had to. Although she had a feeling that leaving wouldn't be so easy for her to do.

Rock picked up the beer off the floor and took it for himself. Pibble leaped on the couch when Mel stood up.

I do sports! Mikko said excitedly. Was in France two months ago competing, won first place, that's two years in a row! Mikko gave highfives all around.

Now my trainer and I are training for the Olympics. I'll be hopefully competing in three catagories. Yeah, I'm awesome.

Bebop and Rock made no effort to stop Mel from leaving. If the girl wanted to leave she could.

Don't make it a habit of coming here. Ain't interested in having underage bitches in my home. You think wanting to lock you in a basement was bad, I would hate to see what some of our buddies would do if we weren't around keeping an eye on things. So, nice meeting ya. hope to not see ya again.

Bebop just gave a small wave as he was more interested in what was going on on his phone at the moment.

" I'm gonna be in the MMA when I get older like my dad but I play other sports for fun." Mel told Mikko while stretching then she glared at Rocksteady.

" As for you jackass you can die in a fire for all I care and you're lucky that I can't report your ass to the cops. Even so I'm still curious how the hell you became this way were you always a rhino?" She asked him curiosity still winning out.

Rocksteady sighed and plopped down on his recliner. She's still hereeeeeeeee! He wined.

Bebop put his phone down and looked up at Mel. He then reached into a bowl of popcorn and threw a handful at Mel which Pibble quickly ran to eat the fallen treats. No we were human. Rocksteady is a big Irish bastard. Scientist man gooed us up.

Baxter. My brother worships the guy. But, my baby brother is a bit on the nerdy side.

Right. all other info is confidential. You have to be part of the secret society to know.

" Secret society? Sounds like it's a cult or that weird Illuminati type thing. Do you have those secret passwords and robe things? Or is it criminal in nature like the Mafia?" Mel asked them now sitting on the coffee table not wanting to leave. She wanted to know what had happened and she was gonna find out.

I don't think you understand what the word secret means. Bebop mumbled feeling a bit annoyed. they couldn't talk about anything while she was there. They needed to get her out of the house. They could just kill her. But, what if someone seen her following them? Or seen her looking in the window or them pulling her in the apartment? That might be to risky. Then again, the Foot could always bail them out of trouble.

I think it's pass curfew for you. Go home, kid.

" No it's not and I wanna know. I wouldn't tell anyone no one would believe me anyway. Please." She said using her puppy dog eyes. Mel wasn't going to leave anytime soon she was worse than a cat when it came to her curiosity and just as persistant.
