Life Change

We are plotting to break into the city zoo and let out all the animals. VIVA LA ANIMALS!!!!!

Pibble howled in agreement and started to eat all the popcorn that dropped on the floor.

Bebop raised his beer in the air. In memory of our fallen brotheren.

Rocksteady nodded and jumped up from his chair with a loud clap of his hands. yes! That's what we're doing. We're doing that!

And the Mikko and Bebop knew that what was just a joke a few seconds ago suddenly became something that Rocksteady wanted to do for real! This was not going to be good.

" Wait a second you're gonna go to the zoo and set the animals loose? Are you insane?" Mel asked Rocksteady hoping he wasn't serious about doing that. But if he was then that would cause mayham.

" He's not really serious is he Mikko?" The teen asked the woman.

Mikko pinched the bridge of her nose and looked up to see Rocksteady getting his gear ready. A sure sign that the rhino was very serious.

She looked at Mel and nodded. He's very serious. I'm out! No way I'm risking my career for some elephants. You two are all the wild animals I can handle.

" Rocksteady you can't go and just free those animals they wouldn't survive in the city or they might think humans are lunch!" Mel yelled at him he was either insane or stupid or both. Now she couldn't just leave she had to try to stop this.

Rocksteady threw a heavy arm around Mel's shoulders. He walked her to the front door. Good news. This doesn't concern you. So you can leave. Maybe warn your family to not run around the park at night or something.

Or you can use her as bait! Bebop shouted.

Bebop! Mikko punched the pig's arm. No. So what ya Rock. But if you do something that fuck's up Shredder's plans you know yer tail is in trouble.

" It sure as hell concerns me I'm not leaving!" She yelled as she got loose from him glaring at Bebop not wanting to be bait. Still she had to do something but she couldn't tell anyone no one would believe her. It wouldn't be easy but she had to try.

Just let it go, Mel. The turtles will take care of it. They always do. Mikko told the girl and took a swig of her beer.

Not this time! This time, it's in and out. No big plans, no big group.

Mikko rolled her eyes and pulled Bebop's arms around her middle. What if you let out a Chimp and it tries to rip your face off? You know they can do that?

No they can't.

What if a pride of lionesses decides to eat you? you are a natural pray to them.

I got this under control. and how you know so much about animals?

Unlike some people I finished school.

Bebop, your girlfriend is rude.

" And this stuff is learned back in elementary school. What did you do never finish the third grade?" Mel asked Rocksteady how could he not know this stuff? Hell she wasn't the best student out there and only had a C average but she still learned.

Rocksteady rolled his eyes and opened the door. Bee, lets go! He wasn't going to let some girls tell him what not to do.

Bebop moved Mikko over after a few kisses and stood up from the couch. You gonna be here tonight? He asked Mikko.

Yeah, I'll stay the night here. She answered and called Pibble up on the couch.

The two mutants then headed out the door.

" Mikko we can't just let them go and free the animals from the zoo. We gotta do something." The teen told her heading right for the door to do just that. She didn't care about how she was gonna do it just that it needed to be done.

Just let it goooooo!

Mikko called out to her. Girl is going to get herself killed. Why doesn't she just call the cops if she's so worried? Crazy bitch.

Mel ignored Mikko if she wanted to end up as lunch to a hungry tiger then fine but she wouldn't be food. She chased after Bebop and Rocksteady heading for the zoo she had no idea what she was gonna do but hey better than nothing.

The two mutants were just getting on their motorbikes when Mel came running outside. The boys looked at each other and gave a nod in a silent agreement.

Rock got up, walked over, and picked up Mel. He placed her on the front of his bike and then got back on.

I'd hold on tight if I were you.

Rocksteady hoped that he could lock Mel up in one of the cages they let the animals out of. Maybe stick her in the a bird cage.

With a loud roar of the motors, the three of them took off towards the zoo.

Mel could only hold on to the motorcycle as she was forced to ride it to the zoo. This wasn't her idea of fun and if she could she would be flipping them both off.

" You guys are so gonna get eaten!" She yelled during the ride knowing they were prey animals for lions and tigers.

Rocksteady popped a wheelie, sending the front of his bike and Mel up in the air. He then let the front fall back down on the street and continued zooming in and out of traffic with Bebop.

Soon they were pulling up to the closed and locked gates to the zoo.

The two turned off their engines and got off the bikes. Rock helped Mel off the seat and set her on the ground.

Bebop took out a large pair of wire cutters from a bag off his bike and headed to the gate to cute the lock off.

" If you do that again I'm gonna kill you." Mel said while panting and shaking from the shock. She was pretty fearless but still some things were terrifying like that wheelie when there was no warning.

" Are you two nimrods really gonna go through with this? Doesn't seem to be a gang type thing to do more like crazy hippy type deal. It's like that movie 28 Days Later crazy animal protestors freed lab apes setting loose that rage virus causing people to become infected." She told them.

You watch too many movies. and we're not in a gang. Rock told her and picked her up.

Once the lock was off and the gate was open the three went inside. for a place with a lot of animals it was very quiet.

So what cage do you want to be put in, Mel?

" Mutants exist so can the rage virus and I don't want to be put into a cage. But isn't it kinda quiet here?" She asked Rocksteady as she tried to get down from his grasp. They should be hearing at least something the lions and stuff stayed outside and they were active at night.

They put the animals up at night. Bebop told her. There is no rage virus. If there is it would be in a lab not a zoo. Yer insane.

They walked around looking for the building that would let them control things within the zoo.

Rock had a good grip on Mel as he looked around to where he could toss her. Maybe in the enclosure with the aligators.

" And you're not insane? And you can put me down but not into an enclosure I'm not a snack for animals I'm to stringy and small." She told Rocksteady as she continued to try to get down even going as far as trying to get loose enough to grab one of his hands to bite it.

I'm perfectly sane.

They finally got to the main building that would control the cameras and locks on the gates. Breaking in was fairly easy. What was more shocking was that there was no guards. It was a little dissapointing that there would be no fight.

Walking into the building they followed the lit hall ways, tugging on doors as they walked.

Rock, not gonna lie. I'm bored as fuck.

Rocksteady kicked down a door and finally let Mel go. Maybe now, but it'll be worth it to watch the city go into panic when they find out all the animals are loose in the city.

" And people say teens are reckless but we don't go around setting animals from the zoo loose. Why not cause an alien invasion while your at it with Xenomorphs and Predators?" Mel asked Rocksteady sarcastically if he wanted mayhem that would only add to it. She then gave him a good hard kick in the leg.

Kicking in a door, Rock lead them into a room that was filled with buttons! FUCK YES BUTTONS! The two mutants wasted no time in rushing in with child like glee and started to press everything! Outside of the building you could hear the loud clanking of metal gates opening. The noise was waking up the animals that had been asleep, and starling them causing them to make their own noise. Between the sounds of gates opening and angry animals waking, it was quickly sounding like a horror movie out there.

One thing the two friends didn't think of was how the hell they would get back out the zoo without being attacked by a pissed off bear or lion.

There was some enclosures that couldn't be open from the control room however and once every button had been pushed they turned to each other then at Mel.

Time to go out there and let the others out! Rock cheered, he clearly had too much coffee before leaving the apartment. Again he went to scoop Mel up and run out the building to let out the animals. the birds, snakes and whatever else was still locked up.

" Rocksteady you and Bebop are crazy! You do realize you set dangerous predators loose?! A tiger can easily kill us with a paw and bite! And apes are stronger than you two combined!" Mel yelled as she struggled to get loose hearing the rampage of the animals running around outside.

Rock tossed Mel in the air to Bebop. Bebop reached out and caught Mel in his arms as they both ran out the building laughing and high fiving.

You worry too much! Maybe we'll find a nice elephant you can ride. Bebop told her as they made it back outside.

As soon as they stepped back out a bobcat ran passed them. Move! move! move! Rock continued to run with Bebop and Mel behind him. As they got to enclosures that were still shut, Rock rammed into them to smash open the doors and let whatever was in out. They headed to the reptile exhibit.

It was dark inside except for the dull light that light up some of the tanks. Inside was a variety of snakes and lizards. Some venomous, some not. Small plaques fixed to the tanks told of what animal was in the enclosure, though it was too dark for Bebop or Rocksteady to make out the words.

Bebop pulled the large pliers he had used to cut their way in. Let's smash em out!

Rock nodded. But make sure all the glass is out. don't want anyone hurting themselves crawling out.

Bebop let Mel go again and patted her head. I bet yer glad you came.
