Hollow Heroes [Open to all]

Lydia was starting to zone out, but on hearing Kurt speak she snapped herself out of it.

"Ah, rabbits are my favorite animal. They're small and cute, but still can be fierce! she giggled. "Unless of course...that's just in stories. But that's okay. Stories are nice. I want to be cute and fierce, just like the rabbits in stories! Right, Shelby?"

Though nobody else but she could tell, Shelby 'nodded' in agreement.

I can tell that you are very fierce! Because you have survived this long. and rabbits are very fierce!

Bebop stood silent on the subject, he didn't know anything on rabbits. He did speak up about Lydia though.

Of course she's fierce. And with time I will teach her to fight and defend herself. But just because the world has changed, doesn't mean we should force children to grow up so fast.

Clark understood that his safety was her concern. Unfortunately he never thought of his own safety, because for the most part.. he was untouchable. That was until the discovery of kryptonite in its many forms and all of the enemies that tried to get their hands on the rock with his destruction in mind.


"...and your safety will always be my biggest concern..." He admitted, meeting her gaze. His eyes were still fighting to decide what shade to take. Now pale blue and not their normal vibrant shade of heaven blue, red veins rolling and visible as his body continued to fight the virus...


It frightened him to have her so close, unsure of what effect this would have on him. But just like every time before, she soothed him. Still wanting nothing more than to hold her, but afraid of the outcome if he suddenly turned...


"I love you, Lois." He must have told her a thousand times tonight, but having gone two years without her, and considering this could be his last few moments with her, he couldn't say it enough.


succumbing to the sickness and fever brought on by his body's relentless battle to beat this, words sounded so distant as his eyes fluttered, and then Gambit was moving in. Was it time already? Was he going to kill him right there in front of Lois?



"No.." He huffed and tried to pull his arm away, but soon found himself being pulled to his feet, slowly registering that the gun had been lowered and the guy was offering help....

Wade ruffled Mikko's hair before climbing out of the car, closing the door behind him. He grabbed one of his swords as he approached, just incase Supes went all batshit crazy again. As he approached, he saw Gambit and Lois trying to get psycho Alien to his feet....



"I shoulda known you wouldn't have the nut jizz to do it..." He huffed,but only mock anger in his tone.


"Good thing. Webs went all 'tree hugger' and Alien PETA...'People for the ethical treatment of Aliens' when he found out. But, maybe the kid's right...."

Gambit looked over at Wade and rolled his eyes as he started to help Clark into the van. He was about to defend his case but it seemed that Peter had already done so. Good kid.

I assume Mikko's still got her head. He said. He didn't say it as a bad thing. he knew that Wade wasn't going to kill the woman, least not till she had turned.

Probably best we both of em in the same car and you drive em to the mall. We can restrain ya girl, but not the big guy. He said sitting Clark back down in the van. I'll ride with ya for back up.

Pete sighed in relief, slumping back against the seat. Man, the anxiety sure didn't do his wounded chest any favors. Clark had cauterized the wound,but the pain was still there. "Glad he listened...." He breathed, still trying to catch his breath.


And, he was reeeeeally worried about the fate of his suit, hoping that Wade and Mikko didn't have sex with her wearing it! He would certainly like to have it back in one piece...

Gwen watched Wade leave then looked at Pete and kissed him again then smiled at him. She then looked over at Mikko and seen she had fell asleep again.

Should we keep her awake?

Master Splinter was not keen to just sit on his tail after so long in incarceration, he would have enjoyed the chance to follow the younger girl that ended up ith them out and join his sons in the battle against the undead.

Make them dead for real!

But Aprils cautioning hand, he sighed and stayed with her. His four sons, Casey and the others could handle the mob bearing down on them the moment they pulled up...

And so they did.

Now it would be a matter of getting everyone inside -

The battle was brief and messy and at least for the briefness Don was grateful for. The mess not so much. Even though necessary, the tall ninja still rather disliked the sounds his staff and body parts made when they came into contact. Before the outbreak the majority of these being thuds and the ocassional snap or crack of bone, now it was always that way sometimes more of a splattering too if skulls being hammered are that far along in the decomp.

A sigh and using a now truly dead mans ripped off shirt to clean off his Bo staff Don returned to the vehicles and the group counting brothers and Casey and noting each still for the moment seemed fine, though some of their extended group was definitely not, but seemed to be taken care of so the brainy turtle returned to their van tossing the bloody rag on the ground.

Casey - having left the van to help snorted at Mikey's words and shoved the turtles shoulder, "well don't go flicking it about will ya?" he was shaking the same 'derp' off his own 'weapon' some random piece of pipe he grabbed climbing out of the van after a quick smooch to Aprils cheek to join his best bud and his bros out in the chill to make some stinky, bloody pulp sculptures.

The fight was over the moment that Gambit did the 'Sonic Boom' thing, taking out the remaining walkers. It was both cool and.. a lil annoying because Raph was just getting started! Still, it was probably best considering that 'Superman' had been dragged into the horde and chewed on. He was salvaged, but what would become of him? Could an Alien become infected by this virus?


There seemed to be debate if they should kill him or not, but in the end, the decision was made to wait. Raph just hoped this one didn't come back to bite them on the ass... literally....

Shoving his pair of sai back into his belt, Raph looked to his brothers as Clark was helped back to the van...


"One of those vehicles may need a driver if the infected are all shoved in the van..."

"Yeah, she still has her head.." And Wade knew exactly what his friend was getting at. He would spare Mikko, but decided to execute Clark, before he realized how biased he was being. "But am I the only one that even considers that an Alien Zombie may put an end to the world.. like.. HELLO!!" But the decision had already been made to spare Clark. Thanks to Pete and Lois... and even Gambit. Okay, so maybe he was still a little upset by the fact that Superman had injured his girl...



Wade helped Lois and Gambit get Clark back into the van, and settled onto the seat that had been formed into a makeshift bed. He gave a nod at Gambit, knowing he was right. The infected should be contained in one vehicle, the others in Gwen's.


"I'll go get Mikko." He told his friend, then looked at Lois. "I know you want to be with your man candy Alien crush, but it may be safer for you with Gwen and Pete..."

Still worried about his suit, Peter was pulled back by Gwen's question. "Yeah, probably a good idea..." And he reached around to give her shoulder a gentle nudge, hoping his reflexes were still in check just in case the virus took over and she reacted...


Trying to keep his wits about him, he did notice the group getting Clark back to the van and it was a huge relief off his chest. He still needed to thank the guy for saving his life.

Mikko had actually woke before Peter started shaking her. She was only out for a few seconds. So when Pete touched her she looked at him and smiled. I have to get out this car. She told him with a light tone. She moved so that she could reach the door handle and swing her door open.

Gwen looked at Peter and then back at Mikko wondering just what the girl thought she was going to do.

Mikko then took in a large breath, sucking herself in as much as she could and wiggled her way out of the ropes, sliding down the seat and oozing herself out of the door. Gwen was quiet impressed. Pete, you should stop her.

Mikko got out the car and stood up. she took some deep breaths. I'ma be by Wade! No worries! wont eat anyone! yet. With that she ran off to her boy toy and the others. stopping when she got there with a smile. I escaped! No one can hold me down! Maybe you. But that's cuz I'll let ya. she told Wade with a wink.

Their voices sounded so submerged. Possibly a good thing, because he could not find  Wade's words offensive. Everything seemed like a blur, but Lois seemed to break through the haze. A small smile edged across his lips hearing her returned 'I love you'.. heart beating a little faster. Skin a little warmer, because this woman had that effect on him.


Once settled back on the makeshift 'bed' in the back of the van, Clark reached for Lois' hand, not in the mind-set to know that he could be a threat to her, only wanting her close...

" Who let the crazy girl turned walker out?!" Mel yelled as she took out her gun taking off the safety aiming the gun for Mikko's head. Not only did she look like a walker but she was acting beyond strange for one as well which was having a brain which could only spell trouble so she wasn't going to get close like she would normally. If walkers started to get brains along with their need to kill and eat the living then they would be able to plan attacks on humans and mutants. It had to be stopped before it started.

But Mikko was gone, thankfully it seemed she wasn't just running away. And Gwen believed that Mikko would go to Wade. She sat there in the quiet car for a bit in silence. then looked over at Peter.

Crazy day uh? She said with a small smile. She then locked lips with him once again. Taking every moment she had to show him the affection she should have long ago. Not to mention she was in need of that same affection.

She rested a hand on his lap, her other hand pulled him closer to her. she was still careful not to hurt him more then he was. But her need was obvious.

Still wondering if he should go after Mikko or not, but realized leaving the car in that condition was a bad idea. Clark was an Alien and considering what had happened to him... it was definitely a bad idea. His eyes were still trained in the direction Mikko had ran off to when he heart Gwen speak, and without warning, her lips locked with his. Even though this wasn't the first time this night, it still shocked him and took his breath away.


The shock smoothed out into contentment as he eased into the kiss, soft, gentle and loving, savoring every second. One hand rested against her hip while the other cupped her cheek, bloodied fingers caressing her soft skin. He was hurting, but Gwen had a way of making the physical fall away...

She moaned quietly against his lips. Her arms snaked around his neck and she moved on to his lap, straddling him. Maybe, now that the threat of zombies was over for now. The others could go, and Peter and her could met up with them later. Though she was sure no one would go for that idea. Wade would never leave his little Webs behind.

Plus, she knew that Peter was hurting. and she didn't want to make him hurt more. So taking things slow would be for the best. But knowing that every moment together could be your last, made it hard to take things slow. It felt like things had to happen now or never. It was kind of sad, really.

Eh, mon cher. I think it's best you not stay with him right now. Gambit told Lois as he moved her away from the van, pass Wade and Mikko. He glanced at Mikko and she was starting to look worse. So he moved the woman quicker away from the infected.

It isn't safe right now. But I'm sure he will be fine. For now though, you understand. WE don't want anyone else getting hurt...

It was then he noticed Mel taking aim at Mikko. He had a hold of Lois and he was still weak from the big boom before.

Wade! Mel! He shouted to his friend.

It seemed that Lois was determined to stay with her boy toy, but luckily Gambit was taking care of that situation because it seemed that Wade had an issue of his own. Mikko was now in the van with them, and while obviously bitten and infected.. showing no signs of turning yet.


He managed a half-revealed smile through the torn fabric of his mask and was about to make some devious remark, but then Gambit started yelling. Shifting his attention, he saw Mel with a gun pointed at his girl...



"Wow.. hold the fuck up!!" He hissed, pointing the tip of the sword to her neck as he grabbed the gun, aiming it away from those in the van. He twisted it from her grasp, staring her down in irritation. Sure, part of him registered that she was doing the exact same thing that he almost did to the Alien, but they had worked around that....


"You need to go back with the Turtles. Let me deal with the infected. When they turn, I'll deal with it.."

Clark managed a small smile hearing Lois' reassuring voice. He wanted her close to him, but some part of him still having the mind capacity to know that she shouldn't be within 'biting' distance. And considering that his wounds were still oozing a toxic mixture of kryptonite and blood infected with the virus, who knew what affect that would have on her.


But then she was being ushered away. He couldn't make sense of it. Were they moving vehicles? Why was she being taken away? Disoriented, he painfully pushed himself up and tried to follow....

Mikko's smile fell when she realized that her head was about to be shot off. She quickly ducked into the van and crawled into the passenger front seat. She looked back at Supes and gave him a wave.

Looks like we're infected buddies. Maybe we can find Wesker and he fix all this.

On thing was for sure she was burning up! It was SO hot! How did anyone fight in spandex? She started pulling the pants off and folding them up neatly, then the shirt came off and again she folded that up, she set everything aside and laid out in her seat. The black veins had moved up her neck and to her face. her eyes a darker yellow. but she still had her mind...mostly.
