A Charmed Life

Vic and his crew thought Erica and Lilo were with the mutants, so they were under the impression they were being taken care of. They made it down the fire escape and Vic did his best to keep Mikko close and shielded, his sights setting on the van. It seemed to be in one piece...for now.

Keeping a low profile, they all made it to the vehicle and hopped in, Andy hopping behind the steering wheel. Vic and Dave climbed into the back with their girls. Once everyone was safely inside, doors were locked and Vic wrapped his arms around Mikko, trying to comfort her. He knew she had just lost everything, and his heart broke for her. What little he had was gone, too....

"It's going to be okay..." He told her quietly, pressingca soft kiss against her cheek.


Dave was shaken, but spared Sam a little smile. "You're a fucking badass...you know how to shoot that thing?"

Andy began driving away just as a group of Turks spotted them and headed their way. Gabriel's camaro made an appearance, and seeing the group heading for the vehicle that he knew Mikko was in, he ran the thugs down, putting Lydia on speaker phone to free up his hands as he did a 360, slamming the ass end of his vehicle into the Turks, sending bodies flying...


Andy wasn't sure if they needed to stay and help Gabriel, but what good would they be? The only one with a gun was Sam.

"Um...where should we go?"

Rapheal was having a good ol time engaging with the Turks, leaving a couple hanging upside down from a light pole, others head first in dumpsters and some knocked unconscious and left where they fell on the street. He had seen Erica and Lilo go back into the building, causing him to curse under his breath. What they were doing was noble and heroic, but dangerous...

"We gotta help 'em evacuate people from that building...." He told Leo...

And oh yes, that black camaro. He had numerous encounters with that particular thug before. But tonight, it seemed they were all fighting a common enemy.

Well as fun as helping beat up, tie up, string up or bin up thugs is, was... fire is not!

He can see as they make their way back that indeed Erica and Stitch had gone back inside, Lilo had Ryn and was going up and down the fire escape trying to alert folks through windows. Ryn bless her mermaid heart understood the urgency and fear and worry but no clue what they were doing so her attempts to follow and copy Lilo were very loud and exuberant...

" Then get in there and help people, but don't make me have to come in and save your tail!" he urges the red clad brother knuckling the burn scarred shoulder, as the fire grows. Bugger the thugs for now they can fight each other. They had to get as many innocent people out of fire and firing line as possible.

Well he guesses now they all will be to blame for exposure. " Donnie call April we will need to crash at hers, Mondo help here get folks out of the way."

Lydia sat up in the bed. She reached back over to her night stand and pulled out a pistol.

We'll be ready for when you get here. If something happens before than I'll let you know. She hung up with Gabe and let out a long sigh.

Lydia nuzzled and kissed Cory to wake him up.

Babe, we have to get up. Turks are attacking Dragons. Gabe's worried they'll come for us next.

Sam grinned at Dave. Of course I know how to shoot. we can go back to my place. It's out of dragon territory so we should be safe.

Mikko leaned into Vic and laid her hunting knife on her lap. SHe glanced out the window and spotted Spike among the guys out there. Without a word she hopped out of the van and marched up to her ex, holding her knife out at him.

You fuckin burned my home down and my work! I know you hate me but I didn't think you would go this far! I should kill you right here!

Jinx insisted on tagging along. She was with Gabe when they went crashing into bodies. She pulled out her guns and shot at the men destroying cars.

Look, it looks like those turtles are helping. The red one kinda cute.

It seemed like they had a place to go. Vic just hoped they wouldn't be overcrowding poor Sam until they could figure out a new living situation.

"Thanks, babe." Dave gave her a squeeze and a peck on the forehead....

Then suddenly Mikko jumped out of the moving van!! Vic's heart lept into his throat and he didn't hesitate going after her, nearly face planting as he followed suit and hopped out of the moving van, but quickly found his feet...

"Mikko, come back!" But he didn't expect her to do that, so he headed in Mikko and Spike's sirection, no plan on what to do, but he wasn't going to let her get killed!


Dave watched on in shock, his attention shifting to Andy, who was a bundle of nerves and had been oblivious to the two that had abandoned ship...

"Stop the van!" Dave called out, then looked at Sam. "Looks like we may be looking for a new lead singer. Vic's not a fighter. Can you sing?" He was trying to make light of the situation but knew Mikko and Vic were in serious danger.

"I may need to borrow that gun, sweet cheeks."

Spike was taken aback by Mikko's approach, not really expecting an encounter with her. She was holding him at knife point, which was adorable. She thought he had targeted her place. She thought that he hated her that much, to completely ruin her life, but that had not been the case. He had not made this call, and had even suggested hitting another complex instead. Because of her. But, she didn't need to know that. The Turks didn't need to know that. It would die with him.


He could have pulled his pistol and shot her. He could have overpowered her and taken that knife and cut her open like a fish, but....he didn't want to do any of that....

"You need to get the fuck out of here. Now." He warned, just as her new boy toy approached...

There was no apology, she didn't expect one. She didn't know what to expect. Mikko was sad and angry. But she would heed Spike's words.

Swallowing thickly she took Vic's hand.

This isn't over. She growled.

Dragging Vic with her she quickly headed back to the van and got in.

Sorry about that guys. Let's get out of here.

While Mikko and Vic were out there, Sam was already leaning out the window, gun aimed at Spike. Thankfully she didn't have to shoot anyone and Mikko and Vic came back.

Carlo had wittnissed Spike talking to Mikko. And watched as he let her and the other guy walk off.

He approached Spike with a lopsided grin.

Someone has a soft spot. Come on. we're heading out. My informant says there's a tattoo shop that belongs to the Dragons. We're gonna hit it up next.

A bullet flew through the air and hit Carlos in the stomach. The man fell at Spike's feet. The shot had come from Jinx.

Gabe rolled his eyes at Jinx. "The red one is a fuckin' asshole..."

Seeing the exchange between Spike and Mikko, Gabe was fearful that the psycho would hurt Mikko. He was tempted to gun Spike down in a drive by, but Mikko and her boyfriend were in the way!! He slammed on the breaks and put the vehicle into park.

"Get behind the wheel. If things go south, get out of here. Go get Lydia and Corey and take them to my place.." He told Jinx. With that he hopped out of the car with pistol aimed at Spike...

Fortunately Mikko and Vic left. Seeing Gabe approaching, Spike drew his pistol as Carlos approached, but then hit the ground. It startled Gabe enough for a brief distraction and Spike fired a shot of his own, which struck Gabe in the shoulder. The two opened fire on each other, throwing the streets into even more chaos...

Fuck! She knew that Gabe said to pick up Cory and Lydia but she wasn't going to just leave Gabe to die!

Jinx started the car and pulled up to Gabe, running Carlos over.

Gabe! get in the car!

Everyone was shooting. Mikko wittnessed Gabe get shot and Spike...She held on to Vic and buried her face in his chest.

Suddenly Turks were being tossed up in the air as Bebop and Rocksteady came charging into the fight.

Fuck yeah! Bout time we had a good brawl!

Corey was NOT ready to wake up, though being woken by kisses wasn't so bad! Hearing what was going on, he groaned as he slowly and painfully pushed himself up, a little dazed from the head trauma, but fortunately functional. His eye had swollen shut, which was annoying, but at least the other one was good.

"Turks, huh. I'll fuck 'em up." A little overly confident. He had no way of knowing that Gabe planned on coming to get them, but he wasn't too worried. With a yawn, he pushed himself up and pulled on his pants and shoes....you know, just in case he needed to kick someone's ass, he wouldn't be completely naked. He then grabbed his pistol from the night stand, checking to make sure the clip was fully loaded.

"I'll protect you."

Lydia also got dressed and had a gun. She wrapped her arms around Cory from behind and kissed the back of his neck.

My hero. But hopefully there will be no need. Gabe is coming to pick us up we just have to be ready for him.

Cory's IV bag was empty so she unhooked him from it. He still had an IV in his arm though.

Rapheal was met with mixed reactions. There was the anticipated freak outs, but quite a few had been so thankful for help that they didn't seem to mind that it was coming in the form of a large turtle!

One by one they helped the residence to the fire escape, some needing more assistance than others. The elderly and handicapped and a few that seemed afraid of hights...

They had been exposed, but Raph felt that was unavoidable. Maybe this wasn't their problem. Maybe for their safety they should not have gotten involved, but leaving people to burn to death was not right. It wasn't their way.

The place seemed to have been mostly cleared, but a fragile, weak sort of scream could be heard from one of the mid levels. Raph was quick to head back up, smashing out the apartment window that had failed to burst under the heats pressure. An old, wheelchair bound woman was trying to pat out the flames on her body, burning her hands in the process.  Raph was quick to pull the burning fabric from her body, receiving burns in the process. Ignoring his injuries, he quickly scooped her up and leapt from the window. All of those breathing and holding breath exercises had came in handy!

She had grown quiet, nor was she struggling. Raph expected to look down and see her frozen in fright or possibly dead, but she was gazing up at him, conveying gratitude in her heavily cataract clouded eyes, a tear rolling down her cheek as she reached up to caress his face. Raph tensed, but allowed the contact, feeling her burnt fingers move over his skin.

"Thank you, young man..."

She couldn't see him. She had no idea he was a huge, menacing reptile....

"Uh...yer welcome." He managed, slowly lowering her onto the sidewalk. As much as he wanted to stick around and make sure she was safe, sirens could be heard, so he flagged down a man he had helped minutes before...

"Make sure she gets to a hospital. Those burns need treated..."

"Truffles! Did you see my cat??" The lady asked, the emotions in her weak tone. Raph hesitated. The building was almost completely lost now, buy it looked like he would be making one more rescue. .

Both Spike and Gabe had been shot, but Spike wanted Gabriel to have a more 'intimate' death. He pulled out his knife and lunged himself at the Dragon, which Gabe managed to avoid. Both were losing blood, but both too stubborn to walk away. Fortunately for Spike, Gabe's pistol had jammed, so now he was trying to disarm Spike of the blade...

Thats when Jinx pulled up, and Spike used this opportunity to make his getaway. He hopped into the car and slammed the door, then pressed his blade against Jinx' neck.

"Drive!"

Gabe was suppose to get in the car, but of course nothing ever goes smoothly. Soon Jinx found herself at knife point and being ordered to drive.

She thought about fighting. The guy was pretty scrawny she might be able to take him. But the longer she took to drive the closer that knife got so she drove.

Jinx pulled away from the crowd and booked it down the street.

Where am I going?

Bebop and Rocky were having a fun time tossing Turks around. But Bebop spotted Gabe not looking to good and plowed through the others to get to him. He scooped Gabe up not caring if the man protested.

Let's get you out of here.

He looked over at his partner in crime. Rocksteady! Time to go. Gabe needs a hospital.

Let's go!

The two mutants brought Gabe to their bikes. Bebop had a side car attached to his and that's where he sat Gabe. Then the three of them took off to get Gabe help.

Spike was prepared to kill her if she tried anything. Fortunately for her, she followed orders.

"Carlos mentioned a tattoo shop. Something tells me imma find a Dragon there...we're going there..."

Jinx gave a little nod.

The tattoo shop wasn't far. So soon she was pulling up to the shop. The windows were dark. It looked like no one was there. But then a light came on in the apartment upstairs.

We're here. You're welcome. You can get out now.

Lydia heard a car pull up and glanced out the window seeing Gabe's car.

Gabe's here. I guess he's going to want us to go to his place. She unlocked her door so Gabe could come in.

Vic and Mikko headed back before Dave could get the gun, which was probably a good thing. Once the two were back in the van, Andy drove towards Sam's apartment.

Vic wrapped his arms around Mikko and hugged her close, trying his best to comfort her.

"I'm sure Gabe's okay. And we'll find a new place...something better than that apartment."

But Mikko wasn't sure if Gabe was ok. Or Spike. As much as an asshole that man was she still cared about him. But that was the risk you took when you befriend gang members.

Sam leaned back in her seat. Now that they were away from the craziness she could relax. And with that relaxing came the pain in her side. Sam looked down at her side and saw a large pool of blood soaking her shirt. She didn't bring attention to it though. Once they got to her place she would take care of the wound.

Seems to be one habit she cannot break of El Cucuy.

Lurking around the home of April O'Neil.

But at least even when there he is not making any effort to see the woman. And or there for long.

So finding formerly known as Michelangelo there again tonight is no different. " Come on we have other things to do tonight whilst gangs are busy taking each other out." Her own gang is so far under the radar no one even knows their here and it will stay that way as long as possible.

The NightShades had a fun night out in the New York/ New Jersey Bight to be getting on with.

Corey was enjoying the affection, a smile tugging across his lips. When she asked about the IV, he nodded. "Yeah. Unless you got some morphine laying around to hook me up to." He teased, maybe only a little serious.

Just then Gabe's camaro pulled up, which meant it was time to go. "That was fast."

Outside, Spike refused to get out of the vehicle without patting Jinx down first, removing any weapon that she may have had on her. "You step out first. No funny business, or I'll gut your friends in front of you."
