Immortals Beginnings (About 8 months after Years gone by)

Mikko and Vic followed Ezra and Jade into the hall. Ezra decided to sit in the front with his sister.

Mikko on the other hand though it best to stay in the back. She picked two seats near the end of the row in case they needed to escape for some reason.

She was hopeful that things would end well though. Most liked Gabe so that would work in his favor. Lucky however, who knew what would happen to him.

Hey, Donnie chooses to live amongst and still be close to people that at the moment they just can't trust, so yeah he has chosen to be out of the loop. Raphie is too on something left out because of still having regular contact with these people.

When things are back to normal he is plenty surrrrre that won't be the case anymore.

He finds a shady spot to wait it out, he will spend a little more time with his brother before heading home. And well he has an offer for Flag.

Don hurried to the meeting hall and found himself a seat. It seemed nothing had started just yet, good he didn't miss anything.

"Take it easy." Flag told Digger as he opened Gabe's cell and cuffed him. He knew that Digger was getting back at Lucky. And yes, he felt the cuffs were necessary. The two were prisoners after all, and one was an unknown.

Soon they were leading the two out and towards the meeting hall. Flag noticed Donnie and Mike, and of course would welcome Mike to sit in if he so wished.

The two prisoners were escorted inside and placed in the two chairs at the front of the room, facing the audience. True, Gabe had a lot of friends, but he knew Vic had become a contributing member to this community. The guy accompanied Flag on supply runs and was friends with Harley. All of the kids, with the exception of Ezra, loved Vic. To say that he was nervous was an understatement.


Flag waited for everyone to get settled, then looked out at the crowd. He knew that this would be a long, drawn out thing.


"Most of you know the situation that has brought you all here today. You all know that Gabriel attacked and nearly killed Victor. As the leader, that's not something I take lightly. Its my job to keep everyone safe. I could make this decision on my own, but we are a community. Everyone will have the opportunity to voice their opinion and concerns. If anyone would like to come up and speak, we'll get this started..."

Wade hopped up and went to the front of the class.

Sooooo. Gabe's a good guy I think most of us can agree with that. Look, I'm not going to beat around the bush here. The attack never would have happen if I hadn't broken the lock of Gabe's cell. I knew that Gabe wasn't in his right mind and I knew I was putting Vic in danger. There are reasons I did what I did. Stupid reasons, but reasons.

I regret it and I'm sure Gabe does too. But it all worked out in the end. Vic is ok. and Gabe is human again. So the guy deserves a second chance here. If Death thought him worthy enough to bring him back from the dead then there must be a reason right?


Rocky stood up and spoke next. Unlike Wade he didn't go to the front, but stood up by his seat.

Almost all of us here are or were criminals. We all did some pretty bad things, I know I have. I worked for gang lords after all. But we were all granted chances, So Gabe should too. He thought if there was anything else he wanted to say but figured that was enough and sat back down.

Gabe was relieved that so far things seemed to be going in his favor. When Chris stood up, he felt a little nervous, but expected the crowd to be divided. He braced himself, knowing that he and Chris had a rocky past. ..

Chris moved to the front of the room and cleared his throat, sparing a glance back at Gabe....

"You nervous, gumdrop?"

Gabe only rolled his eyes and dropped his gaze, waiting for Chris to say whatever he needed to say.


Chris' attention returned to the audience. "Gabe is a pain in the ass. There was a time he tried to ice me, too. The dude would make a horrible assassin. Anyway. As it was just mentioned, there probably isn't a soul in this room that hasn't done something terrible. Before and after the world went to shit. I'm not saying Gabe should get off with a pat on the back, but. I vote we give him another shot. I mean, Vic has nothing to worry about now. Gabe is human again and I think Vic could take him." Chris shrugged. With that, he headed back to his seat.

Jesse went next, and for Evelyn's sake, he voted to give Gabriel another shot, with probation of course.

Charlie was a bit shy about speaking up. She had only been a part of this community eight months, but Victor had been her friend since her time at the lab. "It's horrible what happened to Vic, but it doesn't matter how we feel about it, I think Victor and Mikko's opinion should matter the most..."

Mikko really didn't want to stand up and speak, but Charlie had thrown her name out there and Vic of course. She really thought it should be Vic's choice on what to do. She looked over at Vic and smiled before standing with baby in hand.

We all know Gabe well enough. He's a great guy, he just got a little messed up that's all. Give the guy house arrest but don't kick him out. Though with that said. It really should be Vic that has the say in this. It was almost his life after all. As for Lucky, I say we eat him. With that she sat down.

Ezra stood up next. Mom's right. Dad should get like house arrest or something not get kicked out of the town. I just got the guy back I don't want to have to lose him. or leave the farm. Because where dad goes I'll go too. And he hoped that Jade would follow. He sat back down.

Vic felt that what Mikko had to say was good enough for the both of them, but Harley moved over beside him, giving him a nudge....

"What you have to say is honestly all that matters. If you want him outta here, he goes..."


Victor sighed and stood up, though he really didn't want to go to the front of the room. Unfortunately Harley was persistent, taking his hand and guiding him to the front.


He would never be able to trust Gabriel. He would never feel comfortable around the guy, because he had planned the attack. Gabe hated him that much. But, this was no longer about him. He knew what sending Gabriel away would do to the people that loved him.

"Ezra just got his dad back, it wouldn't be right to take him away again." And he looked at Flag. "Don't send him away. His home is here with his son."

Mike honestly doesn't feel like he has a say, this is not his home.

No he knows he doesn't.

Sure there are friends here, allies, family and people they might not be close to at the moment but it's possible the rift will be fixed. But still, he doesn't live here, his voice and choices on the matter won't affect him, but it will have an effect on the people that have ultimately chosen Flag to lead and care for them. If asked specifically he will say something. But otherwise he will stay his tail outside.

Harley was not happy. It seemed that everyone was willing to just pretend that Gabriel had not done what he had done. Surely Victor wasn't okay with being attacked and nearly killed. Maybe he was scared to say what he really felt since Mikko was so attached to Gabe.

She looked at Digger..."Boomer? What are your thoughts?" Because surely her friend would side with her that Gabe shouldn't just walk after what he did.

Digger wasn't expecting to be called out. He was happy just staying quiet but Harley wasn't going to let him do that. He knew that Harley wanted Gabe gone, but that just didn't seem fair.

Um, Well I think the hose arrest is a good idea. But honestly if Vic is willing to let this go than who are we to not do the same. I have no problem with Gabe.

Digger looked at Harley with a knowing look. How many times have you forgiven Joker? Maybe we should let Gabe speak. He should at least issue an apology.

It was a hard pill to swallow, but Dieair was right. Jade would come to him if needed. And he was in fact worried about what might happen if Gabriel was sent away. Ezra would no doubt follow, and Jade would follow him.

He gave a nod, obviously worried but trying not to dwell on that. Thinking about his nieces and nephews, a small smile tugged across his lips.

"Wanna go visit some babies?"

Jade was quietly observing, her fingers interlocked with Ezra's. Most everyone had spoken up, and things seemed to be going in Gabriel's favor....

Harley however was visibly upset, and Jade worried how that may affect the outcome considering that Harley was the wife of the leader. This seemed really personal to the woman and Jade wasn't sure why. Sure, most everyone liked Victor. He was a sweetheart that didn't deserve what happened to him, but something else seemed to be eating away at Harley...

She gave Ezra's hand a squeeze and whispered so only he could hear. "You holding up?"

...and it was personal. Perhaps it was PTSD from all that the Joker had put her through, but just forgiving Gabriel like nothing ever happened felt all too familiar to her. At Digger's question, she shot him a glare...

"I forgave him too damn many times, Boomer. Too many times I just brushed things under the rug like nothin' ever happened." She was angry and frustrated.

"If we let him walk after this, what message is that sendin' to everyone else? House arrest, community service ...and after the shit he pulled, Lexi had to use what blood we had in the infirmary. He needs to give back. And if we're not sendin' 'im away, then it wouldn't be fair to throw Lucky out. Only thing he did was flirt but some of you wanna act like he's the bigger threat here..."

Dieair smiled at that. The thought of holding little ones made her happy. She nuzzled against Raph's cheek.

I would love to go see the babies.

I'm holding up. It sounds like dad might be able to stay. He whispered back hopeful.

Gabriel was surprised that things seemed to be going in his favor. Hearing Ezra speak, he really wanted to hug his son, comfort him, but there was nothing that be could do at the moment. When Victor finally spoke up, he inwardly braced himself. He knew that the guy could have had him exiled, but that didn't happen. His response honestly surprised him. He had no doubt the guy was doing this for Mikko...and Ezra. Whatever the case, Gabe was grateful.

Then Harley spoke up, and the worry returned, but it sounded like maybe she could be persuaded....


Gabriel finally took the chance and stood up, his gaze finding Victor in the crowd and fixated on him. "Thanks, man. I don't deserve your mercy, but I appreciate you tryin' to give me another shot at bein' a dad to my son.. and to Aaliyah. I know I can't take back what I did to you..." And he searched out Lexi in the crowd.

"I'll do whatever I can to make it right. I'll donate blood, weekly if I have to..." And to Harley and Flag. "House arrest, community service, whatever I need to do....just please don't kick me out..." He was tearing up. The thought of being tossed out and away from everyone he knew was suffocating. His pleading gaze found Victor again.

"I'm sorry. I wanted you dead. I wanted to blame you for me losin' Mikko because I couldn't accept that I lost her on my own. I was desperate and willin' to do whatever it took to get her back. I know we'll probably never like each other, but you two don't have to worry about me anymore. I know I lost her."

He is busy now, after a council sit in, and breakfast. And now with Lilo busy learning!

Whatever else is happening he does infact hope things go well for Gabe at The Farm.

And that Mike was behaving himself.

He meditates in front of father, focusing particularly on problems.

And humming for the children against his plastrons. He can feel their tiny heart beats, and he answers their chirps in churrs, soft growls.

Feeling the fleeting sensation of what he could swear was Splinters light touch. The kind his daughter inherited, that brushed aside the worries and made him focus, calmer. And a new idea forming. It won't solve everything but might be a way to meet the needs of more people.

And then singing for his babies.

Listening to Gabe talk started to upset Mikko. She was trying her best to hold it all in but it was upsetting to see him upset. The one thing she hated was seeing Gabe sad. She always did all she could to keep him happy and now she was the cause of his sadness.

She put her head down and tried to just focus on the baby that was starting to get fussy in her arms.

This was all sweet and all but what about him? He tried to wiggle out the cuffs that were still too tight on him.

After Harley's rant he blew her kiss and gave her a wink. But his focus was back on Ally who he smiled out. Digger noticed though and put an arm around Ally pulling her close.

It been a long few months. She had escaped from the Reapers and was tired and hungry. Rhea was a strong woman she would survive.

The first place she came to was Sanctuary. But they were less than friendly and seemed to have the same intentions as the Reapers.

So she passed there and kept going, fighting off the undead and hiding in the trees to get away from wolves.

Finally she came to the farm, It seemed quiet there, but there was guards so someone was living here. She stopped by the front gates of the farm and put her hands up to show she wasn't armed.

Please tell me you guys don't eat people here.

Vic just wanted to go home. He was still healing and fatigued from the whole ordeal and just wanted to be in his own space with Mikko and the little one. That desire to be anywhere but here only became stronger when Mikko and the baby started getting upset.

Vic wasn't expecting an apology from Gabe, but appreciated it nonetheless, even if he questioned the genuineness of Gabe's words. The guy's emotions definitely seemed real, but he would understandably remain guarded where Gabriel was concerned. He was willing to coexist with his would be murderer...for Mikko' sake. For Ezra's, because the boy loved and needed his father.

"It's okay." He replied quietly to Gabe, and wrapped a comforting arm around Mikko. He hated to see her upset. The sooner Flag and the council made a decision, the better. He just hoped for Mikko and Ezra's sake that Gabe would be allowed to stay.

Mikko leaned on Vic and lightly bounced Lorelei in her arms. She had a little pacifier in her pocket and popped it in the baby's mouth which seemed to help calm her down.

It seemed that most of the residents were willing to give Gabriel a second chance. Of course Harley felt differently but it sounded like she would accept him staying if there was a reasonable punishment. Now they just needed to set the 'sentence', and reach a decision about Lucky.

Lucky's gesture certainly made Ally uncomfortable and she sunk into Digger's embrace, rolling her eyes at the prisoner on trial. Hopefully things wouldn't backfire if he was allowed to stay.


Flag looked to Wade and Digger, gesturing them to step out of the room with him in order to collaborate on a verdict for both of the prisoners....

"It looks like Gabe is stayin'. We could put him workin' the gardens and if Lexi is okay with it, cleanin' the infirmary for a few months. Maybe take him on supply runs to keep him busy. He'll need someone keepin' an eye on him and keepin' 'im straight..." He looked at Wade.

"And Lucky. If I send him off, Harley is gonna be pissed. She's right, though. What Gabe did was worse than Lucky flirtin'..."

The guards spotted the newcomer and quickly took aim, holding her in their sights until it could be established if she was a threat or not. At her question, they spared a glance at each other.

"Most of us don't. We do have a few bloodsucking and flesh eaters here..."
