Immortals Beginnings (About 8 months after Years gone by)

I'm good, but thank you. Sorry that we're intrupting Flag's off day. Poor guy just can't get a break.

Don carefully plucked one of the melons from the box and gave it a look over. He was interested in these blood melons. Not that he wanted to try it, ew no. But that they existed was fasinating,

He put the melon back after giving it a good inspection.

Looks like Digger and Flag are arguing. He could see from the window that things were looking heated.

Flag was not appreciating Digger's attitude. This was starting to feel like old times. "They were angry. Scared. You think you have this under control? How are you gonna keep them from spreadin' that panic to others? "


Maybe it had been a mistake putting Digger second in command. Maybe Digger had not intended for the news to get out, but unfortunately it had.

Ally wished that she knew what to do to help her husband, but she was at a loss.

Digger was getting heated. He never had the best control on his temper and damnit this was HIS day! He could handle things without Flag coming to his rescue.

Maybe it should get out. Everyone, especially the women, have a right to know. Maybe it was a mistake letting all these meat eaters on the farm! They could be dangerous. Hell YOU could be dangerous!

Vic knew all too well that people feared what they didn't understand. And after how the group of people had just treated him, he was afraid to let Mikko go out there alone. He didn't want to be annoyingly clingy but he wanted to protect ber. He stood up and followed her to the door.

"I'm gonna keep an eye out for you." And he knew she should be safe coming back because he knew Thorn would not hesitate to put anyone in their place if they tried something.

Mikko really didn't feel like she needed Vic to look out for her, but loved that he was so protective. She gave him a smooch and hurried to Thorn and Sam's house.

Once at their door she knocked loudly.

It's Mikko! Here to invite you to eat some yummy stew.

Flag was also getting heated. The fact that Digger was against the immortals being here certainly didn't sit well. No wonder he was so careless with sensitive information about Thorn. Then, Digger just had to bring up the fact that he thought he could be dangerous ....

His eyes narrowed, slightly glowing with his rising irritation...

"It's that attitude that's gonna get everyone riled up and turn them against the immortals. This is their home. Not a damn one of them asked to be what they are..."

He got closer, only inches from Digger's face. The tips of his fangs could be seen, a reminder that yes, he was indeed dangerous...

"You better pray you never know what it's like to be some mad person's experiment ...to have your humanity stripped from you like some of these people have..." He seethed.

Ally was getting nervous. She knew that if a fight broke out, Flag could very easily hurt or even accidentally kill Digger.

"I think we all just need to take a step back. It was an accident, Flag. We didn't mean for that information to get out, buy you put Digger into a role that he's having to learn ...this is one of those trial and errors..."

Digger wanted to punch Flag in his face, kick his ass, But, he knew that was a fight he wouldn't win. Plus it didn't teach Tina a thing, the girl was watching on eagerly to see what was going to happen.

Yeah, trial and error. He said as he walked over to Ally and Tina. He wrapped an arm around Ally.

If you don't like how I handle things, then put someone else in charge.

With that he took Tina's hand and gave Ally a squeeze before leading his girls back to their house.

Harley was fascinated by the melons. Hopefully these things would help. She also plucked one from the box and gave it a good once over, shrugging at Don's comment. "You guys are not a bother. We appreciate Shell City for their efforts with these. I hate when Flag has go  to Sanctuary for meat and blood. Blood is usually all he needs, and Dwight..but the others need flesh, too." And she was irritated that Flag had left to go handle whatever was happening. She felt that Digger could handle it.

Just then Donnie made her aware of the situation between Flag and Digger, but before she could go out there, Digger and Ally was walking away. Still, she went out and stood on the porch to wait on her husband to return...

A frog...Mikey had given him a frog!! A paper frog, but a frog no less! Blaze was super excited!! He watched as Mike made it hop, then gave it a try himself! How did Mike know that frogs were his most favorite animals ever!! He missed being able to catch them by the pond. He missed animals in general. Sure, there was the wolf creatures that had escaped a lab, but they were only allowed to play with Ghost, Thorn and Sam's cub.

Carefully picking up the origami frog as if it was real, Blaze wrapped his little arms around Mike's leg, giving him a hug! "I love it! I wanna be a frog when I grow up!"[/color]

The need to punch and kick ass was mutual, but Flag knew his unfair and dangerous advantages over Digger. He thought they would talk this out, but no. In true Harkness fashion, the guy was turning his back on the situation. Had he just stepped down from second in command? He was heading back to his house, so maybe so. Flag sighed and turned to head back towards his own home...

"Whatever that was, Digger could have handled it..." Harley scolded.

Another sigh as Flag climbed the steps of the porch. "Yeah, but he didn't. He tucked tail and ran." Which meant he needed to find a way to defuse the situation that Troy and Digger had caused. There would be no off time for him.

He headed inside and Harley followed, figuring he wouldn't discuss the issue with her right now.

Flag gave Mike an apologetic look. "Sorry about that. Always something."  He pulled one of the melons from the box. The smell was pretty close to the real thing...

"Want me to test it out now?"

A polite thanks to Harley for her words and a grin at the boy hugging his leg, Mikey settles on one knee to the floor and offers his arms.

"  Well I do not know becoming a frog, however perhaps some sort of amphibian, and some sort of frog will move back into the waters some day and you can hopefully catch more sometime." and it is no matter if the boy doesn't accept a hug hug Mikey will be happy to just ruffle the little head of hair and the hug to his knee. Glad the paper frog was a hit.

He looks up at Rick as he comes back and shrugs, " We have both been at Leo's side and under his orders enough to understand how hard that job is." the guy didn't have to apologize to them for that.

He smiles as they inspect a Melon, if Blaze accepted a hug and wants to be held Mikey will be standing now with him held in one arm and reaching a big hand into the box to pick up the melon on top, it's dense and heavy with juice, the feel is like skin with soft hairs, or slightly wirey hairs on the side that had been in the shade a bit more, the melons ranched in color from cream white, beige, tan, brown and a dark almost black. The one he plucks free. Spheroid in shape and probably as heavy as a small child. There is a warmth to the skin, a mammal scent to it... " Donnie guessed and he is right these are mutants, hybrids of earth fruits watermelon and kiwi fruit and an alien plant. As you may have heard Lili's colony O'Hana of what was the islands of Hawaii is home to aliens. Well one of them is a plant, named Sprout. And crossing one of his seedlings with the resulting KiMelons has bred us... these..." okay not as in depth as the answer he gave Donnie, and he hopes for now Donnie says nothing of Jumba being an alien 'evil genius'. All anyone needs to know is Lilo, chief of O'Hana, has people capable of creation as Bishop is, but using their gift for good things... like Blood Melons. " we are working on a Meat Melon too aiming for something like to a Jackfruit that will have flesh like ours, like pork, and maybe some variations for more red meats and white... but that might take another year or so yet. We are still studying cultivation of the next crop so we might be able to brings seeds for yous to grow yourselves Blood Melons, the Meat Melons will take longer." because not all had a Shen to make crops sprout and grow  within weeks, and well they won't always her either so it was important they understood how to grow and care for the crops without her. " I'd like you to try one, but only if you want to, these are for you to try at your leisure, share as you will and either report to me over a call or tell Donnie and he'll let me know. Our WereVamp lady has told me she for one is happy to return to non human sources of blood, and that it takes her two feedings at least to get through a single melon of this size and that she has not been as sated ever been in her life even before the outbreak when her family mostly had a magic made fake blood." he shakes the darker skinned one he held. So the larger melons in the box might last longer, maybe, but Shadow had said might be a huge gap in individual appetites, just like all people so who knew?

Aaron knew that he was going to have his hands full with this whole issue. He understood Negan's pain and anger, but he also realized that it had been a mistake. He himself wondered why Alissa had been so far away and close enough to the Farm for this kind of mistake to happen. Nevertheless, it would be his issue to handle. He shared leader responsibilities with Daryl, but there was no need to include anyone else unless this escalated beyond what he could handle himself.

He had given Negan time to say his goodbyes to his wife and to process everything before setting out to find him. Hopefully he would be in a better head space and less fueled by his anger.

Mikko had the worst timing ever!!! Sam had a mouth full of him and there was no way he could answer the door in his state....

"WE'RE DOING SINFUL THINGS..BE THERE SOON!" He called out loud enough for Mikko to hear...

Ally headed back home with Digger and Tina. Like Flag, she wasn't sure if Digger had just stepped down from second in command, but if he had, she would support that. She would also support if he chose to continue. It was his decision and she would back him regardless...

Though she was thinking on what he said about it being a mistake allowing the immortals here. What if Mikko and Vic had to leave and she never got to see Lorelei again? She doubted that things would come to that, but it was a sad thought just the same.

"Who's hungry?" She asked with a smile, figuring she would start preparing lunch. It had been a long morning and figured that Digger and Tina had worked up an appetite.

But Digger had not stepped down from his leadership position. He was just angry that Flag had to take control of something he thought he could he could handle. Even if he wasn't handling it very well. It was his first major issue! They had to give him a chance.

as for kicking the immortals out. He really wasn't sure how he felt on that. He did worry about Thorn now. But also knew Victor couldn't hurt anyone. and Mikko...Well she was a little iffy but always been helpful to the community. Then there was Eric the zombie. He kept to himself, but what if he got too hungry? And Wade was immortal but not one of 'them'. Being leader was hard.

Ally took him out of his thoughts with the mention of food. Tina gave an enthusiastic yes and Digger leaned over kissing Ally's cheek.

starving. we really worked up an appetite. And sorry about getting heated back there. Flag just needs to learn how to step down sometimes and let me lead, There was no reason for him to get involved.

Tina grinned. You could have totally taken him in a fight!

Digger chuckled at that. Thanks, but I think I would have been out matched.

Hearing that they were in there doing naughty things got a quite chuckle from Mikko.

Ok come anytime! She caled back and stepped away to head back home.

Her house and Thorn's house weren't that far from each other but still she was stopped by three women on the way back. They were questioning her about Thorn and Vic. If the rumors were true. They weren't being agressive at least.

Ladies.Please. You know as well as I do that Victor is a sweetheart. He wouldn't hurt anyone. And Thorn is just as sweet. Yes I heard the rumors and I'm going to talk thorn about it. I'm sure there is more to the story than we know. I promise when I learn more I'll come and tell you all.

The three ladies looked at each other concerned. But Mikko's words seemed reasonable enough. They agreed that that was the best thing to do.

Mikko was glad that she could talk things out with the worried women, but soon a rock was flying through the air and hitting Mikko in the head knocking her down. She rubbed her head and looked for the thrower. Someone was going to get hurt today and it wasn't her.

The three women fled leaving Mikko by herself to take more hits.

Negan had said his good byes to his love and was now in the infirmary sitting on a bed holding the baby that he decided to name after her mother, Alissa.

Cindy had checked the baby over and she seemed like a healthy newborn. She got fed and was put in diapers and cloths. She was now teaching Negan how to care for the baby. Not that she was yet a mother, soon but not yet, but she did know the basics.

Negan was paying close attention. all the while a nervous wreck about carring for Alissa. Sure he had Abby, but never a new born baby, and looking back maybe he didn't take the best care of Abby.

They were close to their house when Digger heard more yelling. He turned so see Mikko on the ground and a man coming at her with a wooden plank.

Digger was quick to intervine.

Hey! Have you lost your bloody mind!? You might be able to take her but you ain't gonna take Vic. and we don't attack women! He took the plank away from the man and pushed him to leave.

By now Mikko had gotten to her feet and was angry. Mikko's emotions were all over the place. The preganacy had given her a bit of an attitude and soon the man was on the ground with Mikko on top of him. She bit at the man's face, but Digger was quick to pulll her away.

Mikko! You are not helping your case! Chill. Where's Victor?

Of course the ladies witnessed all this and ran scared into their homes. The rock thrower got to his feet and his wife dragged him away to their home.

Vic witnessed the attack, but he had to put Lorelei in her crib before he could go intervene. By the time he reached Mikko, the commotion was over. He shot a glare at the fleeing attacker, having to refrain from going after him. He placed an arm around Mikko and pulled her close, angry at himself for not following her to Thorn and Sam's place...

"Are you okay?"

And he looked at Digger. "So, that's it, huh? From this day forward we're gonna be hated and feared over something that no one has bothered to get the whole story on. It's so much easier to just fear us all." There was anger in Vic's tone, but mostly sadness. It hurt that what had been their home no longer felt safe.

Mikko brushed herself off and when Vic came to her she leaned into him. I'm fine.

Digger ran a hand down his face. No. There needs to be a town meeting, soon. Whatever Thorn did I know that's not about you two. But I have a feeling it's going to be a while before people start feeling safe again. That's not your fault I know. But it's reality. I just hope until the meeting can happen, no one is stupid enough to attack Thorn.

Digger was horrible with words. So he didn't know what to say that would make Vic feel better.

Guy is lucky a screamer didn't get wind of the small attack, he would be dead

Digger nodded at that. That's another thing. The screamers coming into the farm are making people nervous. I know they haven't attacked anyone in years but it only takes one time ya know. So maybe try to keep them on the other side of the fence. I also want to talk to Thorn and Sam about that wolf they have. Once it becomes an adult it might not be as friendly.

Mikko put a hand on Digger's shoulder. I know you are doing your best to keep everyone safe and happy. But the next person who throws a rock at me is going in a stew.

Sam was blissfully unaware of what was happening outside. She was busy pleasing her man in the kitchen. She didn't even look up when Mikko knocked on the door. Thorn took care of it.

She continued her motions on him till he finished. after maybe they would go eat, or maybe continue their naughty time.

Thorn was also blissfully unaware of everything going on outside. Had he known, the man that had attacked Mikko would have been torn apart. As it was, he was lost in the pleasures that Sam was causing....

Once he was finished, he caught his breath and pulled her up to catch her lips in a deep kiss...

"You hungry? Or...you want a Lil 'dessert' first?" He breathed against her lips..

He was starving, but food could wait a little while if she was ready to receive the pay off for her efforts.

Sam wiped her moth off before kissing Thorn heatedly. Her lips traveling over his neck and shoulder.

Let's get you some food. You need your energy to keep up with me. she teased and kissed him again.

Sam then pulled away and started to get dressed.

Aaron found Negan in the infirmary with his baby daughter. He greeted Cindy with a nod and sat on the cot across from Negan.

"Have you named her?" He asked, not wanting to jump right into the discussion they needed to have about Thorn and the Farm.

Thorn flashed Sam a cheeky smile and stole another kiss before also getting dressed. Black ripped up jeans and a black hoodie. Obviously he was a fan of the cooler weather. Once they were both dressed he took Sam's hand and they headed out.

Thorn spotted Mikko and Vic with Digger. It sounded like something was going on. Unfortunately Thorn had no idea how much fear and panic he was causing. Keeping Sam close, they approached the group.

"Everything okay?"

Sam left the safety of their home and went out to get some food. Even Sam would eat the stew it was good last time so why not? They stopped by the small group and Digger turned to them.

Digger was inwardly hoping that all these people would just go inside their houses until he figured out what to do.

I'm not gonna lie to you, Thorn. word got out about your past with the reapers. I don't know the whole story of course so i'm not gonna judge. He was lying. He was judging. but didn't want to start trouble.

Don't worry about it. Let's just go eat. the humans can just deal. Mikko told them.

Right, well it's going to be something that needs to be address soon. I just need to talk with Flag when he's on duty about how to go foward with this all. For now just try to keep a low profile.

Sam frowned and gave Thorn's hand a squeeze then let his hand go to wrap an arm around him pulling him close.
