growing pains (The kids are all grown)

The annoyance over being woken quickly left, seeing her smile. It was also good to know that the beach was not on fire.

"A fire tonight? I like that idea. And I'm down for some snuggling..." He told her, sparing a wink at her as he pushed upon the door, inviting her in.

Abby happily entered the house and gave Kai's cheek a little peck and tugged on his hand as she headed toward the bedroom. She could use a laydown for a bit and some snuggling sounded nice.

Weed and alcohol was not her thing, but she was getting to spend time with Logan. If these were the things that made him happy, then she would at least give them a try to see what he enjoyed about them. What made him tick.

She felt embarrassed over choking, but rhe way he patted her earned a small smile. Being in his lap, so close to him, feeling his body shake with his laughs.. she was enjoying this.

Then came the alcohol. Her dad had talked to her about alcohol, but right now those warnings were the further most from her mind...

She took the bottle, eyeing it for a moment before finally taking a small sip. The liquid burned on its way down, causing another small coughing fit, eyes watering from its potency.

After getting herself under control, she wiped the tears from her eyes, sparing Logan a sheepish grin.


"Oh my God, Logan....how can you drink that stuff? It's so gross!"

It's only gross the few sips, then you're too drunk to notice the taste.

Logan took the bottle from her and set it down, he then adjusted himself to go in for the kill. She had proven that she would do whatever he wanted her to do, So he felt comfortable with pushing things more.

He leaned in and caught her lips in a deep kiss. His hand moving along her back.

Gracie was caught off guard by the kiss. At first, she felt uneasy, but his lips felt sooo good against hers. The feel of his hand against her back...she melted. All common sense was lost, and she was caught up in the idea of him.

Her heart raced, beating out of control as she reached up to cup his cheeks, easing into the kiss as it deepened, eyes sliding closed, fully trusting him. Her body felt warm, tingly.. her mind in a lust and alcohol haze....

...this had to mean that he had feelings for her....

Yeah he had feelings for her, at this moment anyway. But he had feelings for lots of girls. He had other girls at Sanctuary and in other communities. Gracie wasn't anyone special. But she didn't need to know that. It was only when they started to get clingy that he had to set things straight.

He moved them so that she was laying on the bean bag chair with him on top of her.

He continued kissing her as he started to undress her...

Heart still racing, Noah could not stop smiling! He could still feel the softness of her beautiful lips against his...it made it hard to concentrate. Oh how he wanted to kiss her again, but he wanted the moment just to be theirs.


Nodding eagerly at everything she signed to him, but taken aback by her last comment. He blinked at her, the familiar warmth invading his cheeks...

I'm going to grab fire wood for tonight. anyone want to come with me? She again spoke outloud as she signed so that everyone there could understand her and go with her if they wanted.

Gracie felt nervous and part of her was tempted to pull away due to her self conciousness, but this felt so good, him wanting her, needing her..it was unlike anything she had experienced before...

She wasn't bad for it being her first time. Now Logan laid naked on his bean bag with only a light sheet covering him. He lit a joint and took a deep inhale before reaching over and grabbing Gracie's pants.

He tossed them to her to put on. There would be no after cuddles. He didn't for his girls to linger after wards. Though usually he went to them when he was feeling needy so this was new. He had to be sort of careful though, else he get his ass beat by both her dad and Gabe.

That was nice...But uh, I think you should head out now. Someone might be looking for you.

It hurt. A LOT! Mor bleeding than expected. But she had made him happy. That's what you did for the people you loved. Maybe their second time would be more enjoyable.

Sore, sweaty and trying to catch her breath, a small smile eased across her lips as she tried to snuggle against him, looking forward to just being close to him....but he pushed her away....and now he was telling her to leave? That hurt....

She caught her clothes, the self conciousness becoming overwhelming...he wanted her clothes back on....she timidly began getting dressed, fighting back the tears...

"No one is looking for me, I can stay with you for awhile...if you want me to.." tone quivering, struggling to keep the tears at bay ....

Ugh she was going to be this way. He got up and put on his own pants.

Look. I'm not looking for anything serious. We can still hook up though. But I don't want anything more then just hook ups ok. It's no biggie. Nothing to cry about.

Finally clicks that some one is flirting with him and grins at Evelyn making motions that meant 'patience', 'patience' and a bit of a wink at the pretty girl. " Sure thing, and as the date man I want to make sure milady ... miladies, fellow gent - and sis are fed, besides what we want to show you guys is better at night time, and yous are sure we are allowed to use the boats? no troubles?" Because he was a bit of a goody too shoes and tried to be respectful as possible of other peoples belongings.


Shen makes him grunt a little pulling on his long hair for excluding her from the 'ladies' of his talk but grins a little, " yes eat first and then out to sea!" oh she was excited to show what their parents had shown them. Her leather spotted shell opening back up into the wings opening them wide. Still making sure she signed as she or Yoshi spoke.


" Think anyone else will come down for a feed if we help build a fire and cook some of this sea food?' just asking, he and Shen might have to do extra diving for some more if that was the case.[/color]

Yeah we can use the boats, it's not an issue. And I don't think our parents will come out they usually leave us be. Not sure if the little ones will join us though. Evelyn doubted that Glenn would let Beth out of the house at night to join them. poor girl was left out a lot.

No biggie? Nothing to cry about? Was he serious? Despite her best efforts, the quiet tears became to fall as she finished getting dressed. She loved him, but he didn't love her back. Something was wring with her. He didn'r want her.

She wanted to yell at him. Ask why he didn't explain that before, but this was her fault. She should have known she wasn't good enough for him. She felt so stupid.

Grabbing her bow and sheath of arrows, she rushed out of the cave before her sobs became too intense.

Great she was upset and was probably going to run to her dad who would come looking for him. it looked like he wasn't heading home tonight. He needed to lay low. He honestly hated when the girls would get all sad and stuff, he did feel bad but what was he suppose to do? He was honest with her wasn't he?

Logan finished getting dressed and sat back down.

Things had calmed down and Beth really wanted to go out and say hi to everyone. She was sure her parents wouldn't mind as long as she stood close. So she put on her shoes and out the door she went.

Outside and waved to the turtle siblings as she ran towards the older kids.

Taking their clothes off...just the two of them....Was she....flirting? It certainly seemed like it! More blushing, and a sheepish smile when she booped his nose. Then came her question and invite fir gathering wood. He was the first, and perhaps the only one to raise his hand to volunteer...

Just then his little sister joined rhe group. He knew how protective their dad was of her, but maybe he had allowed her to cone out and say hi to their visitors...

Noah was the only one to volunteer and that was fine by Sandy. In fact she perfered that!

She reached out and took his hand just as Beth made herself known. Wow Glenn actually let her out of the house? Maggie probably said she could come out.

She ruffled the little girl's hair and tugged Noah along to the woods. They needed to gather the wood before it started getting dark.

Anton put away the dirty pie pan after he finished eating. The pie would do for now, but what he really wanted was meat! That's when his ears picked up on Beth's voice. The little one had been on his radar for a while now. She was defensless but normally someone was always with her.

He looked out the window and seen that she was alone. Other then the small group she approched. He would have to get her away from them.

Anton left his house and ran up to the others.

Beth! Wanna play!

She ran deep into the forest. Ran until her bare feet were bleeding and lungs were completely spent. She wanted to keep going. To get as far away from Oceanside as possible, but her body gave out.

The tears still falling, she struggled to catch her breath as she took a seat on a fallen log, her heart and mind racing...

Her heart hurt. How foolish she had been to think that Logan loved her. Now, she remembered the talks that her father had given her. How she should wait until a relationship felt right, because teenage boys were full of hormones and most only wanted one thing. Gabe had also given her talks, wanting what was best for her...

..she had thrown that all away because she wanted to be with Logan. Soneone that didn't even want her.

Her body still hurt. Blood had soaked through the fabric of her shorts between her thighs, and she tried frantically to wipe it away...

How could she go home? Back to oceanside where Logan would be. Seeing him would be too painful...but if she ran away, she wouldn't see her daddy or Gabe or her friends again.

The sobs became more intense as she removed her bracelets from her wrists, revealing the scars, some old, some new... her hand shaking as she pulled the knife from the scabbard on her belt and placed it against her wrist. Hesitating...

..maybe she could find the courage to go deep this time...hit an artery.... then there would be no more pain...no more regrets...no more being worthless and unwanted....

Dana had been wondering around for days! She didn't even know where she was. It was months ago that she lost her parents and about a week ago that she got kicked out of her commuinity. She didn't need them anyway. The teen could make it on her own. Though she was lonely.

Dana hummed to herself as she walked through the woods but got quiet when she heard sniffling.

She quietly walked closer to the sound and spotted a pretty girl on a log. She seemed so sad.

You ok? SHe asked as she slowly moved forward.

Helping Maggie in the kitchen, he had been unable to hear Beth when she told him about Anton. It was only after eve table was set that he ventured I to the den where he had left Beth to play with Legos and color, but she wasn't there. The door was wide open....

Gazing out the window, his heart sank when he saw Anton approach her- one of the reasons he was so afraid of her going outside!

"Beth!!" He called out and sprinted outside, scooping very up before she had a chance to answer the demon child....

Beth was about to agree to play with Anton when she heard her dad calling out. He sounded upset. Why could she never play outside with the others! She could handle herself.

Daaaaad! I'm fine! I wanna play with everyone.


Maggie watched out the window as her husband went to get their youngest. She felt bad for the little girl, she couldn't be outside like the others it was just to dangerous. If only Anton didn't live with them that would eliminate some of the danger.

We were just going to play in the sand.

But Anton know that everyone in Oceanside knew what he was up to. He wouldn't be able to talk his way out of it. So with a sigh he headed back towards his house.
