And Daryl was also quick to return to the Cabin and down the basement he went, not caring that the lower half of the ladder had been destroyed. Panicked and laden with guilt, he quickly helped Maggie and Michonne with removing the debris...


"Glenn! I'm so sorry, man.."


A bloody hand finally protruded through the hole they made, taking Maggie's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. The confusion was beginning to settle, and the pain slowly making itself known. As he tried to move, he realized a sharp piece of wood had caught him between the ribs...


"Ow.. okay, yeah. That sucks.."



And before Daryl could warn him not to pull it out, Glenn did just that, with one fluid motion and the bloody board clattered to the ground. His gaze fixated on Daryl, having no idea why he had dropped the box. "Dude, that was sooo not cool..." He huffed, pressing a hand to his side as he took a step, but the vertigo prompted him to sit, but he was not releasing Maggie's hand. "Why did you let go?"


Daryl spared a glance at Maggie, but wasn't about to blame her for this. He should have known better, but had a habit of acting on impulse. "I'm sorry, man... I didn't know..."



"Knowing is half of the battle... I think it was GI Joe that said that... or maybe Thungercats...Still. Words to live by."

As soon as she was able Maggie was sitting by Glenn's side putting pressure on his wound. Now in a fit of guilty tears she pried her hand out of his to wrap her arm around him while still keeping a strong hold against his side.

It's my fault. She admitted finally. He went after me when I left to grab the car by myself. I'm so sorry...

She buried her face in Glenn's shoulder and hugged him tightly. It was GI Joe... She told him with a sniffle.

Michonne was ready to grab what they had and head out. She clapped her hands together to get everyone's attention. Let's get Glenn and Maggie settled. Daryl and I can load the boxes we managed to get out. Then we can head back to the mall. I think there was some first aid kits...

Maggie looked up and nodded. I can patch him up.

Gah,Glenn hated to see her cry! He returned the hug, giving her a reassuring squeeze. "Hey, I'm okay.." He whispered soothingly, pressing a kiss against her temple. Blood dripped from his forehead and it was only then that he realized something has gashed it open. He started to make some joke about his brain falling out, but seeing how upset Maggie was, he decided against it.... "It's no one's fault..."



Hearing Michonne, Daryl gave a nod. They needed to get the supplies loaded because he was certain everyone had heard that explosion. It would attract Negan's men, along with Walkers and whatever else groups were in this location.


It didn't take him long to find a first aid kit in the rubble, and he placed it in Maggie's lap. "I'm gonna go pull the car closer... you got the keys?"

Then there was the head wound and Maggie's heart sank to her stomach. But before she could have another break down a plan was being put together and Daryl was asking for the keys. She handed them to him and then opened the first aid kit and got to work on patching Glenn up.

Michonne headed upstairs to start helping with the boxes. Once back in the living room she heard a noise outside. it was to be expected, the explosion was bound to have attracted something. She peeked out one of the windows, between the boards. She expected to see walkers, Saviors, Termites. It's not what was there.

Daryl...We may have an issue... Outside surrounding the cabin were Love's hell hounds. The doberman like beast that were ablaze, growled and pawed at the snow under their feet. Their soulless eyes never leaving the cabin.

This is a new one for me...

Daryl couldn't shake the feeling of guilt, but at least Glenn was alive. Still, it sucked to see him injured and Maggie in tears all because he dropped the damn rope. Had he known what was on the other end of that line, he would have acted differently, but he was fearful of Maggie going out there by herself in her condition...


After Maggie handed him the keys, he caught that worried look from Glenn as Maggie set about cleaning his wounds and patching him up...


"Do you know how to drive a stick?" Glenn asked, obviously worried for the well being of the car he had claimed.


"Close enough...."


Glenn cringed, oh so wishing the task of car retrieval could be left to him. "Please don't grind the gears..."


Daryl couldn't help but smirk at that. Yeah, obviously Glenn was already attached to that heap of useless fiberglass and metal. A sports car just wasn't practical in this world, but it would come in handy to transport their loot, and obviously the back seat was a good place to fuck. He would have ribbed him about it, or caused him more panic over the car, but considering that he had nearly just killed him... he would let him off easy. "I'll take care of it.." And with that, he climbed what was left of the ladder, but before he could exit, his attention was directed towards what Michonne was seeing...



The hell hounds. Daryl had seen them once before when Love helped him get Rick's body back to the mall. But now, the mutts demeanors were completely different. They seemed to be in attack mode, which could only mean one thing...



"Bitch done sided with Negan..." And he knew he needed to fill Michonne in. "This world is stranger than we thought. There's a demon thing back at the mall... goes by Love. Rick's ghost told us not to trust her..." And there would be more explaining to do, but now was not the time...


"If they're here, it means trouble is close. I'm gonna go get the car so we can load up and get the hell out of here..." With that, Daryl slowly slipped out the door, closing it behind him, crossbow at the ready. He took a few slow steps backwards, gaze never leaving them just in case they chose to attack....

When Daryl walked out the door, his now, very confused girlfriend watched out the window after him just to make sure those fire dogs didn't attack him. They did lunge forward, but didn't fully attack. Barking and snarling at Daryl, A show of sharp teeth, threatening, nothing more.

Back downstairs Maggie was finishing up with the wound on Glenn's side and was checking over his head when she heard a rhythmic beating, wood on metal. The explosion had left a hole in the back end of the cabin. The hole was mostly covered with fallen rubble, but it sounded like that hadn't stopped someone from checking things out.

Nothing quite brings out the zest for life in a person like the thought of their impending death! Negan's voice echoed in the basement seconds before he turned the corner to show his face. Three of his men behind him.

He pointed his trusted baseball bat at the couple and grinned. I see by the looks of you that you understand. Grab em.

Seeing him again, Maggie went to grab one of the weapons on her, but she couldn't move. The fear, the flash backs....She felt sick and scared and panic. The three men moved past their boss and went for the couple, reaching out to grab them both and lift them up to their feet.

Hearing the noise, Glenn was quick to pull his pistol from the holster, preparing.. just in case. Maybe it was nothing but the debris settling, but deep down he knew... they couldn't get that lucky. And then, the threat made themselves known. Negan and three of his men..


Heart hammering within restricted confines, He tried to push himself up, managing to put himself between Maggie and the men as they stepped closer, gun aiming at one of their heads...


"Back off!" He warned. "You're NOT touching her!"

Glenn could only shoot one of them before the others rushed him and took him out. So he was really not much of a threat. Plus, he was clearly injured.

Negan walked forward twirling Lucille a few times before settling the bat on his shoulder. You heard the man. Back off. Give him some space, fuck. All up in everyone's shit. He looked at Glenn with the biggest shit eating grin. They have no manners. I on the other hand. Understand. A building fell on you. Your wife is...Well she's there. You're fucked up.

It was then he let out a loud whistle and not soon after some of the hounds made their way inside, growling at Glenn.

Oh! Fuck a lucky duck! Shit you know what though? I already touched her. Negan licked his lips and nodded his head. Yeah. She's a screamer that one. Not as much as little sis. But fuck. the cords on her could wake the dead.

After the confession he let out a laugh. Oh fuck. Fuuuuuuuck, Maggie? Was...Was I not suppose to tell? We're we a secret? Oops. Pussy's out the bag now.

Once Daryl put some distance between himself and the hounds, he turned and sprinted back to the road where the Camaro awaited. He quickly slid inside and fired up the engine, immediately hit with the unmistakable smell of sex.... yeah, those two definitely had some fun in that back seat...


Cracking the windows just enough to let it air out, he carefully drove the car back to the cabin, half wishing he could run over those damn dogs, but knew it would do more harm to the car than good...


He parked the car, noticing the dogs were nowhere to be seen. This worried him... had they gotten inside somehow? He quickly climbed out of the car and headed inside, quickly hearing the additional voices from downstairs. He held a finger to his lips as he tip toe closer, crossbow at the ready....

Michonne hadn't heard anything in the basement until Glenn had screamed and then she heard the whistle. Since then she had been standing very quietly at the top of the stairs, gun at the ready, listening in.

When Daryl came back in she was about to signal him to be quiet, but he had quickly picked up on the extra voices. She gave him a nod and mouthed out Negan's name to him. She didn't know that the hounds were also down there. Or how many other men Negan had with him.

The hounds were definitely a cause for concern, but the biggest threat here was the asshole with the bat. As he moved closer, Glenn took a step back, guiding Maggie with him. And Glenn knew, taunting would come. Negan loved to toy with his victims, loved to get under their skin. To cause fear or anger or...


He was not prepared for how Negan would get to him. There was a look of confusion, not wanting to believe what he was hearing, but there was silence from Maggie....


He knew, Maggie had not willingly been with him. It was rape... Negan raped his wife, and she had not told him. Warm tears burned at the back of his eyes, heartbreak and overwhelming burning hot anger as he took aim at Negan, firing several shots....

Negan was reveling in Glenn's inner turmoil. Laughing as Maggie's cries were so intense she wasn't even making sound, she was barely even breathing.

When Glenn raised his gun, one of the guys shouted out to Negan who dove behind some concrete. It was enough to save him, but not his dear Lucille, or the sleeve of his jacket. At the same time as the shots rang out, the hounds reacted, two of them pouncing on Glenn, claws digging into his chest. They refrained from biting or killing him though.

The more things got out of control the more Maggie went into a panic. She started to gasp for air as her body shook.

Oh. Looks like Wifey is having a panic attack. Let's get her outside for some air.
The rest of you, bring him out too.

Dwight had been keeping look out. He watched as Daryl sprinted back into the cabin, and knew the woman was upstairs, too. Now was the time to move it, to keep them from getting the jump on Negan and the men he had taken into the basement with him.


He quietly slipped into the cabin, seeing the two were distracted by the happenings down in that basement. Two pistols were drawn and pressed to the backs of Daryl and Michonne's skulls. He heard the shots ring out from the basement, but his job was to deal with the issues up here.



"Put those weapons on the ground, then go have a seat on that couch. No funny business, or one of you will get to see the other die."

As soon as she felt the weapon against her head she cursed herself. One of them should have been watching the door. She should have known better by now. Slowly Michonne lowered her weapon and laid it on the floor.

She had a back up on her of course, and wasn't about to move to the couch until she seen what Daryl did. She would follow his lead.

The shots had missed and Glenn inwardly cursed himself... maybe if he wasn't injured, he could have put an end to this! When Negan came out of hiding, Glenn let out an angered cry and charged at him, but didn't make it far before the dogs took him down. Their sharp claws ripping his flesh, but even though it seemed hopeless, he tried to fight them off, more worried about Maggie than himself..



"Leave her alone!!" He screamed, struggling as the men roughly yanked him to his feet. He managed to punch one square in the nose, but another was quick to grab him in a choke hold, but still.. he fought. He sunk his teeth into the man's arm and sent a fist hard into his captor's crotch, who quickly released, but the third was a little more prepared for the furious Asian. Glenn stumbled forward as a metal pipe smashed the back of his head, and before he could rebound, one of the men had a gun pointed at Maggie...



"Calm yer shit, or she dies..."



One of the rebounding Saviors roughly grabbed him by the hair, a knife pressed against his jugular as he escorted the couple outside...

Daryl inwardly cursed himself for not securing the door. Now they were being held at gunpoint with the threat of one of them dying if they did not place their weapons on the ground. Hearing Glenn's screams and knowing Maggie was in trouble, he wanted nothing more than to turn on this guy and put an arrow through his skull, but this could end badly...


Like Michonne, he had more weapons hidden on him, but giving up his crossbow ...stung. Still, he would rather lose it than Michonne. He slowly lowered it and put his hands in the air, then headed over to the couch with Michonne. This wasn't over....



"You hurt my friends, and I'm gonna make that other side of yer face match..."

Negan stood back and watched the show. Glenn was a scrapper for sure. For such a little guy he packed a punch. Maggie. She was usually more vocal about things. Looked like she hit her breaking point. When everything was finally under control Negan marched ahead and lead the group out of the basement and back to the front of the cabin.

I noticed that a few of my men seemed less alive then I would like them. Anyone care to fill me in on that? He called out from outside the front door. The hounds had once again surrounded the house. Negan lifted Lucille up and inspected the damage done to her. Fucking ass bitch....

Now. Believe it or not. I didn't actually come here for any of you... this time. All I want, Is what's in these boxes. So we're going to take them, Be on our way. Consider this a free pass. A get out of jail free card. I'm having a good day, feeling generous. Do yourselves a favor. Don't fuck it up.

Maggie didn't react to the gun being pointed to her head, or the knife to Glenn's throat. She looked at Glenn, but it was as if she was looking through him. She was there physically. But mentally she had removed herself from the situation. She walked with them to the front of the cabin and stood like a statue, facing forward, not blinking.

She was no longer being held, or restrained in anyway. But she made no attempt at reaching for the weapons that were still strapped to her.

Hearing that the 'meeting' was taking place outside in the front, Dwight ushered the two up and out the front door, just as Negan made his demands known.


Daryl wanted to fight. To protest. They had worked hard to get that stuff up and now these fuckers were just going to take it?! But seeing the state that Maggie was in, and Glenn... bleeding from fresh wounds left by the hounds and blood matted hair where he had been struck....


He wouldn't fight, not now... but this was far from over.


"Half. That's how it works, right? Leave us half...." He knew it was a futile attempt, but that was the arrangements Negan made with other communities....



Worried sick about Maggie, Glenn reached for her hand but was quickly shoved to the ground by the one that had suffered a fist to the crotch. His gun aimed at Glenn's head. This caused Daryl to panic and he reached for the gun that had been hidden in the waistline of his jeans, but he heard the hammer of a pistol being pulled back....



"Lucille gonna teach 'em a lesson?" The man urged Negan, wanting Glenn punished for what he had done. "This one's a trouble maker..."

Negan gave the man that dare to question him a disapproving look then focused back on Daryl. It was true that others had that arrangement. Fair was fair. There's was just one issue...

This can't be everything. I'm sure there's more in that basement. He bent down and opened one of the boxes. And you think I would leave the people who want me dead with all this goodness?

The three that had Maggie and Glenn were ordered to pack everything in the trucks. Negan grabbed Maggie roughly by her hair and shoved her to the ground on her knees then took all her weapons before kicking her to Glenn.

He looked at Daryl and Michonne, then at the ground. then back at them. Well.
Do you want a fucking invite? Get on your fucking knees!

Glenn was almost certain that his next breath would be his last when he was pinned to the ground. He spared a look at Maggie, mouthing a quiet 'I love you'.. even if she was still in shock and unseeing, and he hoped for her sake, that was the case, but it seemed he was being given a pass, much to the man's dismay.

He managed to get onto his knees just as Negan roughly grabbed his wife by the hair and shoved her down... then kicked her!! That uncontrollable rage slammed into him and in a matter of seconds, he flew into Negan, taking him to the ground. Several hard punches were aimed at their tormentor's face...



Daryl was inwardly smiling, but also worried.. afraid this would not end well for his friend. But if things got messy, he had another gun hidden on him...



Feeling Dwight giving him a push, Daryl quickly spun, his pistol aimed at Dwight's head.....

And then shit hit all the fans! Negan was on the ground and getting punched. Glenn got in a few good ones before the man could register what the fuck was going on. Managing to grab Lucille he used the end of the bat to give Glenn a hard hit to the temple.

Negan wasn't alone in his fight. The hounds came out and again attacked Glenn, pouncing on him with loud snarls and growls.

Michonne moved quickly when Daryl had his gun aimed at Dwight. She went to Maggie to make sure she was ok. Pulling the poor woman into her arms and also taking out her spare pistol and aiming it at Negan.

Other hounds were stalking closer to Daryl and Michonne. But it was as if they knew that a bullet was faster and they wouldn't risk their masters getting killed by attacking.

Glenn managed to get in a few good licks before the end of Lucille caught him hard in the temple, knocking him off. Stunned from the hit and disoriented, he didn't have time to recover before the hell hounds tore into him again, targeting his arms. He managed to free one of his pistols and shot one in the head, then another.. but it only seemed to stun them, then they were back on him...


Daryl was torn on what to do. Glenn was being mauled, and if he took his gun off Dwight, it could all be over. "Call of yer fuckin' mutts or I'm gonna kill you!" He threatened...



The hounds that surrounded him, Michonne and Maggie were obviously ready to pounce, but hesitant, and it seemed to have something to do with the fact that Michonne had her gun aimed at their master...

Bleeding but nothing too serious, Negan picked himself back up and brushed himself off. He was about to make some snarky comment when a female voice spoke up, stopping the hounds attacks and causing them all to run off into the woods. Love walked out into the open, arms folded over her chest.

Weapons away now. She spoke calmly, even sweetly.

Negan ran his fingers through his hair. Nice of you to join us, I think we were just finishing up here. Just need to know who's coming back with me. Because one of you dick sucking motherfuckers is gonna pay for all the fuck'in shit you put me through today.

Suddenly the hounds disappeared, and it was soon made obvious why. Love made her presence known and Daryl's blood ran cold. He felt betrayed... but Rick had warned them. She was no good, and it was obvious by her hounds who's side she was on...


Hearing her 'orders'... Daryl ignored her, his gun still aimed at Dwight's head.



"Ain't nobody going back with you. Yer gonna take yer men and leave..."



Still dazed from the hit to the temple and the hounds mauling his arms, Glenn managed to get to his knees, arms shredded and pouring blood, his gaze fixated on Maggie and he struggled to push himself up onto his feet....
