A Charmed Life

eemed she had stumbled on a Dragon's training day. That was cool! And maybe she could get something nice at the jewelry store.

Then came Corey's question about her music taste. She doubt if Gabe had anything she would listen to.

I like Trance music, Kpop, and club music. Anything I can dance to. Doubt you guys have any of that stuff in that binder.

Gabe wrinkled his nose and shook his head at Jinx. "Sorry, nothin' like that..."


Corey pulled out a disc and spared Gabe a questioning look. "But you have Spice Girls?" He laughed.

Gabe tried to grab the disc but Corey yanked it away. "It's not mine..."

Jinx chuckled then found a pair of woman's underwear tucked in the seat.

Listens to spice girls and wears fancy panties. she teased. You gotta tell your women to pick up after themselves. Have you guys heard of the masked dude that's going around stopping crime?

Of course Jinx would be the one to find the underwear....and it probably wouldn't be the only pair.

"Your car is probably full of baby gravy..." Corey wrinkled his nose at the thought as he put the Spice Girls CD into the player ....

Gabe rolled his eyes at Jinx' question...

"Another vigilante? Those damn Turtles are enough...."

Turtles? You've seen them!? Jinx asked a bit excitedly.

Guys at the camp talk about them but I just figured they were having psycotic episodes. Most of those guys are insane. So the turtles are real uh? Cool. I mean not cool for the gangs, but like, from a scientific stand point it's cool. I bet that Stockman guy would pay big bucks for one of them.

Jinx thought about how they could trap and catch one of them. There was four or was it five of them. She couldn't remember. But she was sure that they would be worth a lot of money.

Gabe nodded at Jinx. It was obvious that he didn't share her feelings about the Turtles being 'cool'.

"Yeah, I've had a...'run in' with the damn red one. Motherfucker is huge." He told her. Corey had also encountered the red clad reptile, too. It seemed that one was best known by the gang members. He made it a sport to interfere with gang activity.

They were soon approaching the church on their way to the jewelry store. There was very little of it left. The remains still smoking long after the flames had been extinguished.

Gabe frowned as he pulled close and stopped the vehicle. "Fuckin' Turks." He huffed and shot Corey a look. "You probably started somethin'..."

Jinx leaned forward to look out the window when they came to the church.

Well someone is going to hell. Where are all the superheroes when shit like this is going down? Maybe they don't work nights...

What none of them knew was the church had been saved once last night, but once the Turks were set on destroying something or someone, they were unrelenting. Far more aggressive than the Purple Dragons and their attacks more vicious.

Corey wasn't sure how this was his fault, but he didn't appreciate the accusations. "You blaming me for saving your dog? I had to do something..."


...and Gabe wouldn't know the church meant more to Corey than anyone. It had often times been shelter, but he had stayed away when the band began using it as a practice and hang out location.


"No, you rang the dinner bell when you stole from me." And there was anger in Gabe's tone. The church would still be standing, Jigs uninjured and this whole assignment could have been avoided had the teen not set everything into motion.


Corey frowned. Nothing he could say or do could undo the damage. "Whatever. Just get us to the damn jewelry store, okay? I just wanna get this shit over with so I can go home..."

Gabe put the car into drive and pulled away from the scene. "Lydia's place ain't your home...she's just toleratin' you because she's horny. Don't get attached. And, we're not done until I say so."

Corey was getting sick of Gabe's attitude! He wanted to punch him, and it took every ounce of willpower that he had not to do so. "Don't talk about my girlfriend like that. And you don't own me..." He huffed.


"No, but Hun does own you. You've broken the blood oath....I'm tryin' to keep your ass alive. I don't give two shits about you but I do care about Lydia and she wants you breathin'." Gabe told him as they finally reached the jewelry store, parking a few alleyways away from the building.

Jinx quietly listened to the guys argue. sounded like a fight was in the near future. She didn't know Corey or Gabe for that matter, But both guys seemed hot headed and that could turn into a problem. Not that any of that was her business.

Once Gabe was parked, she wondered if she should even get out the car. She wanted to get in on the action but didn't want to get in the way. If someone got hurt because of her and Hun found out then she would have a price on her head.

So you guys want me to be the get away driver?

Gabe was trying to act like he didn't care about him, but if that was the case, why had he given him clothes back at the church. Whatever. Probably just trying to act like a badass in front of the girl....

"Whatever, man. What's the plan? How are we doing this?"

"Well, that's for you to figure out. This is your gig." And his attention shifted to Jinx. "No reason for you to be the get away driver, that's what I'm here for. You're my company." He winked at her.


Corey was completely taken aback by that. Gabe wasn't going to help him? Now he was just feeling used.


"I've never done this before..."

Gabe shrugged. "Did you need someone holdin' yer hand the first time you fucked? Don't get caught. I will leave your ass."[/b]

Corey was upset, angry, and...scared. So many things could go wrong. Without another word, he hopped out of the vehicle and slammed the door HARD before heading off through the alleyways and towards the back entrance of the targeted store.

Jinx fully expected this to be a two person job. To have each other's back in case there was trouble. But it seemed Corey was on his own. That meant that the front seat was open!

Once Corey was out the car Jinx took his place in the front seat.

He's gonna get himself killed. Feel bad for his girlfriend. Anyway! What do you wanna do while we wait? She asked Gabe with a little grin.

Wade was already out and ready to fight the scum of the city! He was sad to see that the church burnt down after all. He thought he had scared the Turks away but they proved they were braver than they looked. Not only walking around Dragon territory but coming back after he had beat them up.

But today was a new day and he was looking to kick some more ass. As luck would have it a shady looking car was parked in an ally and an even shady looking kid was walking to the jewelry store.

He didn't stop the kid after all maybe he was actually going to buy something. He didn't want to just profile someone and jump to conclusions. But he was interested in the people in the car.

With his full suit on and swords and guns ready to be pulled out at any time he walked up to the car and gave a friendly wave.

Hi there! What are you find chaps up to today? not getting in any trouble I hope.

Gabe was more than happy to have Jinx in the front seat with him.

"Lydia has only known Corey for a few hours. She'll get over it. " He told Jinx, placing a hand on her thigh.

"I'm not gonna let him get killed, though. I'm here for backup. He needs to think no one is gonna have his back, though. He's less likely to fuck up..." He was about to move in for a kiss, but then some weirdo in a mask made an appearance. He frowned at the guy.

"I'm out here just tryin' to get laid, man. Nothin' shady."

Deadpool chuckled at that and looked over at Jinx who nodded and gave a thumbs up.

I'll let you kids have fun than. I'm going to check out the jewelry store. Last night it got hit, guy jacked thousands in merch.

Lucky hadn't been so lucky though. Leo had taken his stash after the robbery and later that night he ended up in the drunk tank. But he was out and crashed out at his apartment.

Deadpool backed away from the car shooting them finger guns and headed off towards the store.

Corey had managed to pick the locks and was inside the store deactivating the alarm by the time Wade approached. The teen was unaware that he was about to have company and was busy breaking open the diamond display cases and shoving expensive jewelry into his hoodie and the deep pockets of his jeans....


Gabe sighed and looked at Jinx. "Things are about to get messy. I gotta go help him. If we don't come back, take the car and go."

Jinx didn't like this one bit, but gave Gabe a nod. She leaned over and gave him a little kiss. Go kick ass.

Deadpool calmly walked up behind Corey and tapped him on the shoulder with a finger.

I'm gonna assume you're rich and are going to pay for all of that.

Corey was startled by the sudden tap against his shoulder. He pulled out his gun and aimed at the intruder....

"Do I look like I'm here to buy? Go away before I have to shoot you..."


Gabe pecked Jinx' cheek and headed out, pulling his gun as he entered the building, also pointing at Wade. [b]"Walk away, man. It's just a bunch of jewelry...not worth your life."

Deadpool grinned behind his mask. Good they both wanted to fight.

Funny, I was going to say the same thing to you. He responded to Gabe.

Deadpool took out his own guns and pointed them at the guys. Honestly he didn't want to kill anyone. they were right, jewelry wasn't worth a death.

I think that little blue haired lady in your car would be upset if you died. Or not. Women right? So, you could shoot me. that could be fun. But I will shoot back and I promise you I'll be the only one getting back up.

Corey was relieved to see Gabriel, but the masked man was not backing down. He wasn't sure what to do. If he didn't give up the diamonds, this guy would probably kill him. If he failed this job, Hun would kill him for sure. There was no scenario in this where he would live....


Gabe could tell that Corey was inwardly freaking out, even though the teen was trying to appear composed. His trigger hand was shaking. He hoped the kid didn't do anything stupid, but he realized that Corey knew his life was on the line.


"Look. I know you're tryin' to do the hero thing and save this shop owner one hell of an insurance claim. But...there's more goin' on here than you know. We'll walk away right now, but the kid over there ain't emptyin' his pockets..."

Raph was not happy with the lack of news. Noticing Ryn he slid his box of cereal over towards her. She should feel special. Everyone knew that his cereal was off limits, but the mermaid had become the exception.


"How's dad?" He asked, a little more quiet and guarded. Splinter was aging, and Raph had this fear that they could lose him soon, not to the enemy but to an ailment that could have been treated if only he was a human.

He wasn't about to kill these guys for something so stupid. This poor jewelry shop owner really needed to think about moving locations.

Wade put his guns back in their holsters and took out his phone.

No need to get into a shooting match. Here's the deal... He snapped a picture of Gabe and Corey.

I'm going to let you two go. Keep your ill gotten goods, and I'll post these pictures online warning everyone to look out for you two. Who doesn't want to be internet famous? Right?

He pocketed the phone. What the boys didn't know was he had no intention of doing anything, he just wanted to scare them. He could tell something serious was going on here. The younger one was scared, he was probably new which meant this was probably some initiation thing. And he heard that Hun didn't play around. So he would let this one slide for the sake of the young thug.

If I see you two again things will be different. till next time! tell your friends that Deadpool is roaming the streets. and stealing girls hearts!

With his little speech over Wade turned and walked out the building. He had a stash of money from his days as a merc he would donate it to the jewelry shop to make up for this little mishap.

So, the guy was just gonna let them go? Corey looked at Gabe, unsure of what to do. What if the guy posted their picture??

Gabe was also a little taken aback, but they had come here for one thing. "Finish cleanin' out these cases..." He ordered, and began helping. This was Corey's task, but he wanted to move on from this location.

Corey hesitated. "He's gonna rat us out. Come on, man. We've got enough. We don't need to take everything these people have..."

Gabe shook his head. "He's not gonna post those. He'll be in just as much hot water for not reporting it. And fuck the shop owner. I'm sure they're some of the same people that would just pass you up starvin' on the street. Get to work. It's your life we're tryin' to save here..."

Corey angrily smashed the rest of the cases and just as heatedly removed the jewels, shoving them into his pockets. He was no stranger to stealing, but this was different. Though, like trying to feed himself before, his life depended on this. He hated the amount of control the Dragons had over him....

"Hun's not getting everything...."

"What, you think you're gonna get Lydia to stay with you if you give her diamonds?" Gabe snorted.

Corey was getting sick of the little jabs Gabe kept throwing at him. It's like he was trying to remind him that he was trash. Without warning, Corey tossed the metal bar he had been using to smash the glass at Gabriel's head. Fortunately Gabe was able to dodge the object but now he was angry. He wanted to tear into him, but sirens could be heard off in the distance. They needed to move.

Corey stormed out but it was clear that he had no intention of going back to the car. With a frustrated sigh Gabe rushed back to his vehicle and tried to chase him down. Unfortunately his car could not fit down some of the tighter alleys that Corey had disappeared into...

"That little shit."

Jinx was waiting in the car but was getting worried when she saw the red dude leave and her boys were still in there. Did he kill them? The cops were coming which surprised her it was rare to see cops come through that area.

Thankfully Corey and Gabe soon emerged. Corey ran off and Gabe angerly tried to follow.

Jinx stood quiet. Gabe was angry and she didn't really know the guy. So she was scared to make the situation worse and get her ass beat by some dude.


Wade hadn't noticed that the younger of the two took off on foot. If he had he would have followed the guy. Maybe the kid just needed someone to talk to someone who could help him out. Or maybe he was a loss cause.

Whatever the case this was the second time Wade had failed to actually do any good. He sucked as a hero maybe he would just go back to murder for hire. It paid better anyway...

Don took a long sip of his tea. Stable. I wish we could take him to an actual doctor. Leo and I can only do so much, but you know that. I think today we should focus on finding Mikey. I have a few of our human friends keeping an eye out for him.

Mondo smiled at Ryn. Dude, it's a greeting like saying hello.

Gabe threw the vehicle into park and hopped out, sprinting off into the ally that Corey had disappeared into. It was narrow and dark despite the noon sun beaming down on the city. The perfect place for someone to hide, and Corey was damn good at disappearing in plain sight. Unfortunately he was not the only one in that alleyway. A group of five Turks had once again trespassed in Dragon territory. All adorning clown masks. Corey had managed to slip past them but Gabe was angry and his guard was down....

The group cut off his path and a tall, slender figure jumped down from a nearby dumpster, right in front of Gabe. Out of all of the Turks, Spike had always held a grudge against Gabe, so catching him out and without his posse was an opportunity he wouldn't pass up.

He didn't pull up his mask, but Gabe would recognize the tattoos anywhere...

"Well well well, what do we have here. Long time no see, Gabriella..." There was venom in the familiar tone...

Gabe pulled out his gun, but a chain lashed forward, hitting and fracturing his knuckles, causing him to drop his weapon. He wasn't one to back down from a fight, but knew he was outnumbered, and they all had weapons. He turned to run, but something sharp pierced his back just as his feet were knocked from under him. Spike was on him in a matter of seconds, aiming his knife at the grounded thug's neck, but Corey finally came out of hiding and pounced on Spike, wrapping an arm around his neck and attempting to choke him out....

One of the Turks grabbed Corey and threw him off, then began beating him with a metal bar. Gabe scrambled to his feet and took aim at Spike, firing a few shots too close for comfort....
