New Beginnings *Six years later* (December) *Hamato Clan*

Splinter heard the rush of Michelangelo barely before his sounds. chuckling when the still excitable Mikey took Shen and Yoshi and rushed away. He follows ahead of Leonardo and Donatello, "Hush young ones, suuuuuush quiet no startling your cousin... your new niece or nephew before even out of the shell." He cautions Shen, Yoshi and Michelangelo firmly but gently moving closer to Raphael, but remaining slightly behind his red clad son. " You are doing well my son." He smiles up at him, this moment for Leonardo and Erica had been an emotional crazy time... but the family had been there.



Resting his hand on Raphael's shell.



And they were being here for Raphael.

Ooooh the his niece was absolutely precious! reaching for her father and in the middle of a very girly squeeeeeeee interrupt by Mikey's yell, his heart leaping - a yelp of surprise when Mikey swiped the children from him and Leo then dashed off.



"Excellent! come on...Leo we may need Erica." Unnecessarily as no doubt Leo knew that, it had been planned for months that Erica was to keep her milk supply up, expressing some, and all making sure they had all bases covered to meet the newest mutant turtles needs. Cause they had no idea what it would need! And Erica was at this moment the only one uniquely suited to giving milk suited to them.


He grins and hurries with Splinter just ahead of Leo texting his mates.


'Case, Ape, get up here, the baby is hatching! bring a bit of Erica milk up.' excitement making him skip all grammatical bits and pieces! He hurries into Raph's room with Mikey, "Ooooh Raph... this is so exciting..." He grins moving forward to rest his hand on Raph's left shoulder, but as they had with Leo and Erica when Yoshi hatched and then Shen his voice grew softer. This was Raph's moment.




Lingering out side the door and grinning Leonardo reached for his before vibrating t phone. Seeing and reaching the message from his wife. Heart light and pleased, and though he hated to cut short any meeting she might be having catching up with Carl's colony the leader lifted his tphone up to message her back.

'I am glad my love, I worried and missed you. However you must come home... our niece...or nephew... is hatching.' he types sending. He wanted to call... but also wanted to be in there with Raphael.


And when he did finally enter, lightly smacking Mikey upside the head - making Yoshi snigger softly, and taking back his eager for hugs little girl he rubs their fathers head on the way past, "Yes Mikey, my little ninja, my little princess, quiet like shadows." he reiterates gently enough but in a tone he had developed after becoming a father. It meant no nonsense and his word was to listened too. Moving to Raph's side... but like all remaining back a little, he was not the roaring turtle LionKing right now.


Just an excited soon to be first time uncle and Raph's big brother, whispering to his brother after Don and Splinter spoke, " You got this." cause he recalled how nervous he had been the first time, watching big baby Yoshi fight free, then chew on his egg shell with gums. And yes he had been just as nervous second time around when little Shen took so very long to emerge from her egg to greet her waiting family with a smile.


Now... finally one of his brothers was on that journey. A bit more painful a journey but He could never fully explain all that time ago, when after Erica and a big new born Yoshi has slept he spent time in quiet celebration with his brothers, what it was like being a new father. He still was euphoric. and now Raph was about to experience it himself!

The relationship with two men, April never thought she would want or be so happy in one. In fact as she watches the full Great Hall buzz with talk and clattering of their bamboo cutlery and cups and crockery, the sounds of excited chatter. It was easy to reflect on how much had changed.


They had a fortified home, a growing community and family. Love.



Yes as odd as it seemed and in the early days, felt. She really did love her two men. She recalled it had been a stupid argument that started it. She and Casey as usual verbally sparring, not entirely sure even now how Donnie managed to become the focus, but when they accused each other of clearly crushing on the turtle in purple they had had an epiphany.



And sought out the turtle to talk to him. Stuttering and shy and blushing and... Donnie had at first stared at them, then smiled and admitted with a blush. He too always had feelings- for both of them!



April had just barely finished the lunch time talk, and with the community in effect knockoff for the rest of the day to do as pleased until evening training she was gesturing Casey to come when they both received Don's text, grinning at each other and they hurried away, rushing to the stores to retrieve the milk. Mikey always had a messy, chaotic room, however his food storage was impeccable, the oldest foods in front of the fresher to be used, everything powdered, dried or otherwise carefully stored to limit pests and the kitchen and stores were immaculately clean.



And ordering food up to the rooftop for the brothers and rat father the two with arm loads of milk hurried upwards hoping Lilo, Stitch and Erica would be back then soon.


they were fit humans, but heck once up the top floor and hurrying through the landscaped beautiful garden to Raphs room, knocking before they rushed in, grinning, panting... she tried to mouth something at Raph but was too too puffed to make anything but happy wheezed squeezes... but she was sure her big green lil bro got the message. Moving to kiss don's cheek and use the tall lover to keep upright and catch her breath!

Casey was not one to think over thinks so sentimentally. Especially not over lunch! he had won the rock paper scissors with April so she had stood to address the community about an after noon off, that they were tallying up everything and would have a formal community council soon. Preparing for each season was their second concern behind security.


So he managed to scarf down a helping of goat slices in delicious flat bread and pickles before the message.


boy did he regret that … with the stitch in his side and all!


but worth it! the big guy grinned and went to shout as he burst into the room behind April, but catching the looks on Dons, Aprils and Leo's faces, and the fingers and Mikey's stage whispered Shuuuuush Casey down graded his voice to a slightly louder than Mike's stage whisper, "It's happeeeening… it's happeeeeening… say hello to becoming a boring responsible fuddy duddy like Leo Raph." he taunts in the most elated way and stitched and breathless way. So happy for his best bud. ignoring Leo's oh so faked roll of eyes.

Everyone was here!! Well, everyone but Erica. It was a great source of comfort to the red clad father to be, and he could not mask the huge smile that conveyed just how thankful he felt. Even if he was a bundle of nerves, excited and also terrified! Their words of encouragements definitely helped!

He watched with teary eyes as the little toes wiggled, tiny foot kicked as the second finally emerged.. the fact that the little one was hatching upside down worried him, but he knew.. unless complications were evident, it was important to not interfere ...


All of the kicking caused the egg to topple over, now on its side, the little one managed to break an arm through the leathery shell...


Raph was on pins and needles! Anxiously awaiting, happy tears unsuppressed...


"C'mon lil one..."

Mikey wanted to break open the egg as much as the eggs father, he shifted from foot to foot and back, grinning and sniggering softly at Casey's teasing of Raph and accepting from April what they had for milk. Erica's milk. Erica's diet before her ranging also consisted of protein rich low fat and sugar meals and drink. She did it all willingly.


It touched Mikey in all ways their leader's wife, their sister like April would do this for the hatching little one. Even if it all went for nought and the little mutant turtle had a strictly turtle diet or accepted the plain bottle and teat they had - that Mikey was preparing now as he waited - she still bore it all on the off chance the babe would need milk made for little mutant turtles and like Yoshi and Shen refused bottles in favour for the source.


there was a quiet now, because like the days when the two little winged beauties hatched the family was there but had wanted Leo and Erica's voices, their sounds to be the ones to greet the hatched babies. And they were. And it would of course be no less for Raph. Even if they had to stand about for hours like with Shen.


He was using little hand warming pockets to now warm the little bottle, his hands wrapped about the little pockets and the bottle. Elbowing Raph and grinning up at him, at Don, at Leo... down at father.

Don grinned back at Raph, sparing his mates a soundless chuckle and nuzzle as they joined him, joined them, not minding both the big buffoon that was Casey and sweet feisty April used him as for stability as they caught their breaths. Laughing silently at the tall once vigilantes taunt to the red clad brother.


Glancing towards Mikey as their little brother, the naked chef as he like to call himself - hah! - fiddled with a bottle and milk.


They were really shooting in the dark here. They were prepared as best they could. Don could only hope it would be as simple as milk. Milk custom made for mutant turtle hybrids but still... would it satisfy and make strong and healthy this one of Raphael's as it had Leonardo's?



He glanced at Leo -



Leo took deep breaths, calming himself forcibly. Splinter had taught him, if he was calm, his brothers would fed off the sense of calm, and be a little calmer too, and so would his children. Especially in the infant days. And he had been right.


Mikey's fiddling settled to more purposeful preparations, Splinter stopped shifting about stilling his tail tip not tapping against Raphaels shell lightly and Casey's fiddling and fidgeting slowed. April too seemed more calm.


He took back his son from Mikey's shoulders too, now both his children in an arm each, closer to their Uncle Raph and peering eagerly, leaning, using their wings as much as trusting their father to stay balanced. He grins. they were purely excited just to have more another playmate. they had the other children of the community of course but no close friends among them yet.


A grin at Raph and small nod, meeting Don's gaze and whispering, "She will come." he didn't have to explain he meant his wife. Of course she would come. She would be back either to catch the last of the hatching or meet and greet the new one.

Indeed the soothing calm was infectious, His tail tip, fluttering nervously against his second eldest and soon to be the second father among his sons shell slowed and stopped, his ears and whiskers stopped twitching and his nose too!


Hearing the low whisper and smiling. The scent of milk filled the quiet soothed but nervously excited group.


He was as nervous. In the mall years ago he had expressed his wishes to Leo for Grandchildren. though he had not expected Leo to fullfill that so quickly... and twice over! And now1.... well it was tinged with the sadness that it was not the entire clutch and loss of Venus... but


Third time the grandpa1 his moist eyes moved up to see the grins and his own grew, eyes lingering on his normally so broody sons face to those little Leo babies, the perfect blending of their mother and father, and eyes so very blue, down to the egg chuckling softly, oh how cuuuute!

April giggles at Raph's excitement... and muffles a squuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…. grabbing one of Don's arms to stop herself reaching over to tickle those ickle feet! eeeeeeeeeeeee! already noting unlike Shen who had a five finger and five toe arrangement or Yoshi who had a three and three this one of course seemed to be all mutant turtle.


She wondered how big this one would be, Yoshi had been a whooping nine pounds all squished up in his egg. Shen... barely six pounds seven. To say Erica had been relieved she had laid an egg like a monotreme than gave birth to Yoshi was an understatement given how much he kicked and squirmed and burst free of his egg.


but like now... the widdle feet and toes made her want to get this hatching done so she could snuggle!... and nibble so gently those widdle toes! and fingers!


Glad to hear Erica would be on her way home. no mention of Lilo amd Stitch was would be more worrying if not so distracted.

Thumbings up at Raph's grin and catching don's other arm, Casey watches and might have snarked playfully that uh oh it looked like the 'apple definitely didn't fall far from the tree as far as those feet went' in the best possible teasing way when he saw those cute feet, but like the rest he knew it was quiet time, quiet and wait.. and he felt calm...

Becoming still. For him. Watching and grinning like a giant fool.

Yay! she was in Daddys arms!


She was a very very happy lil girl now! On hand held the edge of Leo's shell in a tight grip, leaning out her shell opening into wings and balancing, missing the reassurances her mother would be home soon and instead catching Uncle Raph's words and whispering encouragement too... though only Uncle Raph and her father would probably hear it as she was very carefully keeping her voice down as her dad had said, " ooom'iddle Eg" resting on her fathers arm that held her.

Yoshi had a hold of the rim of his fathers shell, which his resembled in shape but not color or pattern, and which opened into his own wings now as he leans too, his other hand resting on Leo's plastron, a grin at his little sister.

The proud father was caught up in rhe moment, happy tears swelling and threatening his real eye as he wat hed rhe struggle of his little one, catching the quiet whispers of Casey and Leo's, a light elbow at Casey for all times, appreciative that his best bud had been by his side all these years, and now an official part if the family..

The baby' other arm finally protruded, little fingers flexing, but the newly exposed appendage quickly dissapeared into the shell...

Shen covered her mouth and giggled. She saw an arm!

Yoshi grins, he and Shen could not withdraw into their shells. Mostly because their shells unfurled... as they were now.


The pair waited quietly in Leo's arms, Both wriggling, excited, barely holding their cries of encouragement for a new play buddy, hanging onto their fathers shell and plastron and …and... Yoshi tilts his head up the soft blond hair he had brushing Leo's chin - soft churrs.

Shen churrs now, both sounding something like little kitty cats.

Their small noses brushinf against their fathers skin, his neck, chin, taking in that powerful scent that soothed their little excitable souls.

Mikey checks the bottles...the mush paste he had. The strange mix of milk smell, egg and the insectivore sort of mush.


As they simply had no idea what an infant of theirs would need. So they were going off the cuff here. He feels Raph bump Casey and now adds his own to his brother showing Raph - slowly cause sometimes and especially watery the one eye needed a moment of adjustment and the robotic eye took a moment to focus too.


But …



He shows the screen of the thumbs up from Lilo - she was a beautiful woman Mikey sighed with a smile. Then used the phone to wave Raph's attention to the assortment of maybes in his arms for Raphs lil one... the bottles they had so far and the paste in a reusable squeezy packet.



He grins up at Raph. They were here for him. Just as they had been for Leo and Erica.

Casey elbows Raph back and cheers in silence all melodramatic acting at the little arm, nawwwwing in equal silence when it retracted. Eeeee! Their family was growing.


Silent guffaws at Mikey's mush and milk splattered face - teasing about it being a good look for the turtle would have to wait though.

They could be in for a wait though he knew - Shen had taken hours! So he shuffles back a little and tugs lightly on April and Don's hands to join him out of Raph's way to sit on Raph's bed edge and just wait.

Don felt the tug, chuckling at Mikey's face and oooh he fought his own squeeeeeee that would be most unmanly sounding at both the new babies little arm and it vanishing as well as the sight of his nephew and niece just totally adoraing their father.

He grins and nuzzles Raph's shoulder a soft churrs for his brother then he moved out of the way to sit beside his lover Casey both the men now tugging lightly on their girls hips. Parting where their thighs rested beside each other invitingly.

He glanced up and smiles, ahhhh long ago his sons were small enough to do what Yoshi and Shen were doing... Were as small as the now hatching grandchild. He did miss it sometimes. So of course would thoroughly spoil his new grandbaby as much as the first two. He moves when Casey does, when Donnie moves murmuring softly to Raph, " you are doing well my son." after all he knew ... they all did from Leo's two... that it was difficult to just sit back as a parent and watch. Especially so this lil survivor. But Raph was for the moment composed of at least seemed to be barely keeping it together.


His tail squeezes the still flesh wrist of his second eldest then moves to sit with Donatello. Out of the way and away from the overwhelming urge to help the little turtle out.

She grins feelings her lovers big hands on her hips, but she trembles beside Raph excitedly. She wanted to be right there! right at his elbow hovering like the big sis she was and smothering her squees and desires to reach out and peel back shell. But Splinter was right, her partners were right. She had to sit. sit back - like she had twice before now and like the rest of them relax and watch and wait.

She kisses the spot Don had nuzzled on Raph before answering her mates enticing invitation to sit her butt between them, their legs closed, no man spreads on these two and she nods moving to park herself there. In her pre three way she would never have noticed the strong individual smells of her green brothers, of Splinter, of the sweet still babyish smell of Yoshi and Shen or the eggs, or noted how things like excitement changed this. Nor would she been so attune to emotions either. Sexually transmitted mutism. The effects were... slower for her and Casey than Erica. And less pronounced as they shared Donnie. Still she and Casey benefitted, stronger and faster than most humans and even a tad more resilient to injury and infections.



But she loved the changes. Like now enjoying the cozy familiar feeling and the general loving excitement flooding from every one in the room. All waiting eagerly. Sharing this moment with Raphael.

Mikey feels a soft elbowing and moves his eyes from the egg - his squees muffled - to Raph then to Leo and having pinned down who nudges him raised an eyeridge in question.


Catching the blue leading brothers smile and nod in the direction of the bed, to sit and give Raph some room! - Mikey ooooohs and gives his bigger brothers a silent thumbs up moving to back his tail beside Casey arms still wrapped about the assortments of 'might be needed for a baby mutant turtle' and an eager grin on his face still.

Sometimes even if no sound Leo's looks could be very verbal.

Leonardo wrote:

Leo chuckles silently, it was exciting the egg was hatching. It was wonderful to be filled with the joy his wife was coming home. It was amazing the sense of love and warmth he felt as the small snouts of his daughter and son brushed his skin.

Most of all it was just great to be able to be here for Raph as the hot headed brother had been like the rest of them when his babies hatched. The bed was full so churring very lowly for his two and snugging them he moves a little, giving Raphs temple a light nuzzle, of brotherly congrats and affection, then giving him the space by moving to put his shell to a wall.

Even though Raph's undivided attention was fixated on his hatching little one, he was aware of the happenings around him. He could smell the assortment of milk that his little bro had gathered and gave a wave to the device when Lilo came on screen, felt the excitement of the others, and Leo's nuzzle. Heard the reassuring words of his father...

Fighting back the tears, appreciative of the support....his heart ached, wishing Venus could be here to witness their little one. Had events not been as they were, they would be welcoming more little ones...they would be a family. But as it was, he still felt lucky to have this family. He wasn't alone...

Minutes passed, and the little light green colored fist that had retracted came smashing through a different area of the shell, but once again retracted...

The vacancy was soon filled by an intense topaz colored eye peering through the opening, taking in the faces of everyone in the room...

She was driving fast. But, of course, it still took her two and three quarters an hour and many miles to reach Atlanta. And when she did enter the city, she drove more carefully through the streets. The Compound wasn't brightly light, there was the faint loom of light on clouds above when it was darkness but in the day none would know the compound was there. the solar sensors only ran power for a certain amount of time during the late day hours then would switch off. This encouraged the curfew among their population, kept them safe and of course saved the power they managed to harness from sunlight wind and hydro.


She wondered if Negan had tried to have the place watch. Sure he would have, there had been time ont he road when the man foolishly tried to attack the large caravan moving to Atlanta. And he'd paid big time and got a taste of the turtles. Erica had happily left a notice for divorce in the sharp of an arrow. But watching the compound was not easy for him or others aside the enhanced walls. The rat mutant half siblings of her husband and his brothers patrolled and roosted in the buildings around the compound so she doubted much got back to any body. The rats had orders from Leo to destroy spies, only those that cried out for help or sanctuary, women and or children were taken to the building she drove to now, blasting some gathering zombies away from the carport doors, It had once been the largest police head quarters of Atlanta. It nestled a few blocks away from the compound itself and had cell blocks and rooms and gym floor and gardens. More than adequate as a compromised place for those that committed crimes in the compound. Leo had only a few rules, bend the knee, don't rape, especially don't rape children, don't kill and do not leave without authorization. Also here they housed the sick. It was quarantine.


Also quarantine for those being processed for life in the Compound. Also there that had not wished to leave but didn't want to live in the compound itself. For various reasons. some from the Mall, Lilo's alien uncle Jumba for one preferred to be away from crowds. The woman she was driving in to see, Edna, too choose to stay out here.


Erica presses a button hidden under the dash and the gates open she zooms inside once the opening was wide enough and closed it, only continuing into the car parking spaces one the gates were close, driving the DragonFly down to basement levels. Unfinished projects littered the upper parking levels, down here was all the finished ones, the Dragon Fly slipping in between the Basher and Hammerhead. The huge BattleShell of a garbage truck was still there. Erica grins and gathers the box of baby bottles Lilo had been sent out to gather and left on foot.

She hurried off towards Edna's rooms gathering the little woman and a special item of clothing meant for her to wear the first time if she was to breast feed Raphael's hatchling. And The two set of chatting lightly to the underground. Here the biggest of the grey rat mutants allowed them to ride the rest of the way to a hidden guarded entrace that had a stair way beneath the Great Hall, leading up into the communities room from the far right. And Erica climbed up into a bustling community, all excited, the news spread... she grins and before any could realise the Queen was back among them she was climbing the stairs up through the farming floors, up and up and up ! Edna pattering and chattering and complaining along behind her. Leo would have felt she was home the moment she reached the cities outer limits....

Casey sits jittery and excited and trying not to call out playfully rude taunts to Raph. No now was to be quiet.

He was most impressed with Casey not being immature and loud right now. Leaning behind April to kiss his lovers chiseled cheek with its fresh stubble of hair. Don enjoyed that most about his two humans, their scents, both mingled and saturated with his own scent but distinctly their own. Masculine and feminine. Musk and sweet sweat.

Their bodies too contrasted the hard muscles of Casey and soft curves of April nestled between them. he churrs soft breathing in that unique combination of April, Casey and himself lingering int he softness of Aprils red hair - oy he always loved that red red hair. He might have to take them back tot heir room after this and they had meet the little one to make love for the remainder of the day... night...

Watching the egg from the corner of his eye and chuckling when a Raphie inherited eye peeked at them.

"oooooh lil one heeellllooooo."


he coooooooooed half in silence though because just like for the first two everyone definitely knew Raphs should be the first one the new hatchling heard outside the shell and goop that had been its home up til now.

And the reason they all drew back, his scent and face should also be most prominent and first.

Just as they had for the first two of the next generation of Hamatos.

She felt more than heard don's churrs and grins resting back against the two firm surfaces of Casey and Don behind her, feet didn't reach the ground in this position so she swung them a little eager, leaning out to watch and giggle herself at the sight of the bright eye watching.

they all had fallen in love with Yoshi... with Shen...

She saw no difference when this little one joined them this side of his shell...


okay they had already long before the hatching but semantics!
