Hollow Heroes [Open to all]

Kurt was pretty much in his own little world. The warthog left, the human guy left. and then he heard a voice he had missed very much! He turned with the widest smile ever!

KITTY! He ran over to her and wrapped his arms around her and picked her up giving her a twirl then setting her back down. I thought I would never see you again. I was so worried.

Lydia didn't have too much interest in the jewelry (though some of it was very pretty), as she had her eyes on the assorted stuffed animals. Since she was teeeechnically just here to get pajamas, and she was already pretty sleepy, she just picked a small pocket-sized teddy bear. As for pjs she decided to pick the fluffiest she could find - pink with yellow stars and moons, giving off a Sailor Moon-esque vibe, which she liked- and a pair of matching slippers.

She yawned. I think I am ready to go see the room now!"

Bebop chuckled and nodded. Yeah, I'm ready to see the room too. He walked her to the Hotel part of the mall. The hotel was on the other side of the mall so it was a bit of a walk. On the way he was able to grab himself something to sleep in and a robe.

Finally they made to the hotel and went up to their room. He used the key to open the door and flipped the lights on.

Inside was huge!

Walking in was a hallway. That lead into a living room. Next to that was a full kitchen. There was two doors. one led into a bedroom that had only one bed. and the other door lead into the bath. The bath had a tub, a shower, and a hot tub.

Well this is nice. I'll take the couch. Looks like it folds out.

There was flowers on the dressers and a TV that didn't work. Art work hung on the walls. The large window looked out onto the mall, from their room they could see the laser tag area.

"That is so not helping." The young teen said fighting back tears but she was losing the battle. Gwen pretty much wanted her out of the group, Gambit hated her, who knew with Deadpool, and Mikko hated her. Who knew with everyone else but she couldn't risk it in voicing that.

This place felt like a home! Lydia knew immediately that she liked the hotel. It was so big and cozy!

She immediately headed for the bed, taking off her backpack and unpacking the stuffed animals inside. When she was younger, she would arrange them in such a way that she was surrounded by her toys while she slept. At the time she had thought that they were protecting her from 'monsters'. While she wasn't quite so naive nowadays, she still found it comforting.

Closing the door of the bedroom for privacy, Lydia undressed and changed in her fluffy new pajamas. They were sooooo soft~ She also undid her hair, which had previously been in pigtails. She hummed a little as she did so.

Slipping on her new slippers, she exited the room to show Bebop her new pajamas - Shelby and nameless boyfriend in her arms. "Ta da~~ What do ya think?"

Bebop sat on the couch and waited for Lydia to come back out. Or maybe she was going to go to sleep. He picked up one of the magazines that were sitting on the coffee table and flipped through it. Then Lydia opened the door and came back out in her new fuzzy PJs.

He looked over and and gave her a smile and a thumbs up.

Looks good. And comfty. Don't look like there is much entertainment in here. He stated and got up to head to the kitchen. He opened cabinets up and was surprised to see that there was some canned food in them.

Hungry? We have corn, Apples, peas, and lots of spaghetti o's He then went to the sink and found that the water worked. cold water. I wonder how long he's going to have all this working.

Daryl was heading out with 'Bruce', anxious to get back to Carl and Erica. He wasn't expecting the guy to engage in small talk, but what he told him literally stopped him in his tracks. One of their own was here? And then Bruce revealed that it was Maggie. He felt the tears burning at the backs of his eyes, but would not allow them to fall. One of them had made it....



"She's okay??" And then it dawned on him. Bruce said she was pregnant... wow. "Does Glenn know...." But Bruce had not mentioned Glenn. If he was in fact with her, Maggie certainly would not have been beat up when Bruce found her. That little Asian kid had taken a beaten by Merle for her. Had nearly been killed because he would not tell the Governor where the rest of them were....


"Anyone else.... is there a Carol here?" He asked, the hopefulness in his tone...



And then it registered that he had not introduced himself, because Daryl wasn't the most open or friendly person. More withdrawn and guarded, but a softy beneath the surface...



It didn't matter. Bruce had figured it out. "Sorry, man. Yeah, I'm Daryl.." Because he owed the man that much. If Maggie was here and he had taken care of her, then he was indeed a friend. He wanted to see her, but first they had to get Carl and Erica to safety....

Mass confusion settling in, one thing was clear... he needed to be out of this van. Away from everyone that he could possibly hurt and yet, there was an overwhelming pull and need to find Lois. A suffocating anxiousness from being away from her and knowing just being around her could make it all better....


...and yet he couldn't...



He was a danger to everyone. Fortunately before he could push himself up, he was pinned under the weight of Mikko who quickly... passed out on him? Sure,even in his condition he could push her off, hand her over to her boyfriend, but moving seemed... wrong. He was almost afraid to , because even in his state, he realized that she was naked, and he was partially so.... waking her would only add to the awkwardness for both of them....


And there was something very comforting about the closeness, calming and soothing the agitation within. Lois... it felt like having Lois so close. The warmth and comfort and feeling that he wasn't alone in the universe....


Finally relaxing, his eyes fluttered and slowly began to close, face burying against her shoulder...

Wade was happy to be out of the cold ass seat, and happy to rejoin his... girlfriend? Booty call? No, it couldn't be that. You had to screw at least one time to get that title. No. His Woman Crush Tuesday. Yeah. He was happy to be with that. But seeing her collapse on top of Clark and just kind of pass out... and then Crazy Eyes fell into this daze of contentment... like wtf?



Part of him was tempted to snatch her away. But there was two problems with that. One, It meant he would have to chance waking them both. Mikko could come back a zombie, and for all he knew.. Clark too. If Clark didn't come back as a crazed zombie, then he would just wake as a very confused and trigger happy Alien that he would probably have to behead to stop him. Even though he seemed willing to do that earlier, it was something he seriously did not want to do. It would upset Lois, and he hated seeing women cry. Besides, who knew if Alien blood would wash out of van carpet....


No. It was best to let sleeping Aliens.. and hottie lie for now....



If they woke with a new attitude and a thirst for blood, then he would be here waiting to take their heads, as much as he did not want to....

Deep down, Carl knew there was a very strong possibility that Negan was lying. That he was only trying to upset him.... but.... that hair looked too familiar.....what if.... what if it was his father's and he would never see him again?? What if he never got the chance to apologize for  being so difficult? For all of the mean things that he had said and done because he was young and dealing in the only way he knew how?



It was too much. Try as he may, his heart was shattered, and angry tears could not be contained. Angry that he couldn't be there to help his dad... alive or dead. Angry that this sack of shit would taunt him so, would want to hurt him.... Angry because he would torment his new friend.....



"YOU'RE A FUCKING LIAR!!" He screamed, hand ripped up and dripping blood where the barbed bat had been ripped from his grasp. That did not stop him from raising the gun and aiming at Negan as he looked at Erica. "RUN!" He ordered, focus then returning to Negan as he fired at the man's head...

No Glenn, but she has tried to leave to find him. She's been at the shelter for only two weeks. three days in she wanted to leave to look for Glenn, She stood only when I promised that I would look for him. Which I have been. But, no sign of him. No, no one by that name is there, sorry. But it seems that your group is starting to come around this area now. It is possible that they will show up soon.

It was then that Bruce heard the sound of gun shots off in the distance. He didn't say anything to Daryl as he was sure the man was thinking the same thing. The kids were in danger. Bruce started running full speed toward the noise of gun fire.

And in just a moment, Negan lost control. The little shit had balls, Negan had to give him that. Carl yelled for his friend to run, a gun was fired. Negan was hit and then his men opened fire at the kids.

The mad man double over in shock and in pain. He was close to Carl, there was no way the kid would have missed. Thankfully, Carl was also scared and shaking and that was probably the only thing that kept the bullet from going through the man's head.

Instead the bullet his the man's mouth and cheek.

Negan looked up at Carl, the left side of his face mangled and bloody. Oh he was going to make the kid pay for that! If Carl was still alive after the rain of bullets his men had sent down on them.

Well - maybe it was the shock of the lunacy that the two of them kept defying Negan

Or the suddenness of Carls actions.

She didn't even have time to answer the order to run with a 'Nope'.

Cause all hell broke loose and there was gun fire, during which she was expecting to be hit though that did not happen as quickly as she dreaded, using the brief flashes of light when the guns fired to aim back.

And her first and second return shots were away, she herself was struck, the sudden shearing pain blazing across right hip - forcing a stagger and cry from her lips!1 but Erica knew the first arrow was dead on target.

The gun fire covered what might have been a wet sick thudding sort of sound, but she could still image it - the lose of some of the noise told her other wise pain fogged head she had hit the man that had been to the left behind Negan at least, the second arrow she would have no idea had grazed the other but not struck home.

Just like a bullet had grazed her - nothing deep - a shallow wound opening jeans, leggings and flesh - but she was still on her feet - and had one arrow left but shaking herself now and gasping a bit - and flinching when her adversary across the way fired of again she knew even as the third arrow flew it was too low to be a fatal return

might not even hit the man this time...

Mikko laid curled up against Clark for a short time. That was the thing about these moments of unconsciousness, they seemed to come and go quickly. Mikko's eyes fluttered open and she looked up at Clark, but she didn't recognize him. She stared at him for a moment before lifting herself up slowly, then movement behind her caught her attention.

Wade was still back there with them. Mikko's head snapped him his direction. Red eyes staring hungrily at him. She let out a growl and bared her teeth before pouncing on top of the man.

She reached out and grabbed at his throat, squeezing.

But as she leaned down to for the kill, her unblinking red eyes looked into his and she stopped. A look of lost, confusion took over her features. Her brows furrowed and she slowly released her grip as her senses came back.

I....I'm so sorry... She said now almost in tears. I didn't mean...I'm so, so, sorry.

She quickly let wade go. embarrassed and ashamed. Mikko jumped over the back seat to the trunk area of the van, and wrapped herself in a blanket to hide from the others.

Carl could only hope that the bullet hit its mark. Being panicked and fearful, the teen acted on gut instinct. Perhaps it was ballsy to act so aggressively, but Carl knew how Negan worked. If they were captured, chances were, one if not both of them would be beaten to death with that wooden bat. Negan would use them as bait, then dispose of them once they had served their purpose....


And Carl felt a responsibility to make sure Erica would be okay. If he could cause enough chaos for her to escape, then so be it!


...the bullet had hit its mark, but there would be no time to celebrate. Negan's men opened fire, and Erica had proven just how crafty she was with that bow, taking out one of the men by shooting him through the eye. Pretty impressive!


Unfortunately Erica had been hit, but it seemed the injury wasn't severe...



"Go..RUN!" He shouted at her, rushing to rejoin her as they tried to avoid the gunfire...



Carl shifted to open fire, but a stabbing pain cut through his abdomen. The teen didn't have time to survey the damage before one of Negan's men grabbed him by the backpack and slammed him to the ground, his knee pressing firmly against the boy's neck....

Daryl couldn't help the look of disappointment that was obvious on his features. It seemed that Maggie was the only one from their group that had made it here, but Daryl was hopeful that the others would surface soon. They all seemed to be gravitating towards this place. Like fate had brought them back together time and time again...



Giving a small nod of understanding, the Redneck would not have time to make any sort of verbal reply before the sound of gunfire filled the night air. His heart jumped into his throat and it seemed much colder all of a sudden. The gunshots were coming from the location he had left the kids...


"No... CARL!!" He yelled out as he ran in the direction of the chaos, crossbow in arms and at the ready for a fight...

One of Negan's men was dead, arrow to the eye. His other man was also down, an arrow to his neck, through his throat. Well that little lady knew how to shoot. But finally Carl was down, Negan's third and last man had Carl on the ground.

Negan had plan on using the kids has bait for the others. But fuck that now!

He walked up to the kid and raised his bat in the air, aimed for the teen's head. I'm going to make this last as long as possible. Lets see if you last longer then yer daddy.

He slammed the bat down. But there was a sudden stop. No crack. No loud thud.

Negan looked over to see some man who had grabbed whole of the barbed wire bat, glaring at him. before he could speak, Bruce punched Negan in the face, sending the man flying back onto the ground.

Wade was just about to doze off himself, but suddenly felt a weight against him. The figure was trying to choke him, red eyes glaring. In his sleep dazed confusion, initial thought was Clark, but her features came into focus as he reached for his sword, not wanting to end her... but if she had turned...


And in the blink of an eye, the attack stopped and she scurried off to the back, uttering her apologies. Okay. So it was obvious that she had not turned, because Walkers weren't sorry for shit! But her eyes... why were they red? Had Clark infected her with his Alien durp? Something was up.. this wasn't right... but then again, the world was no longer right....



sheathing his sword, Wade pushed up from his spot and slowly advanced to where she was now huddled,covered with a blanket...


"Don't sweat it, you're not the first girl to try and kill me... and I doubt you'll be the last..." He tried to tease, taking a seat a few inches away from her. Obviously he wasn't afraid of what she could do to him... because whatever she did, dismember, behead, gut him... it wouldn't last long...


"How are you feeling? I know.. stupid question, but.. I wanna know.And what's up with the eyes? Did that green junk from Clark get on you?"

Mikko really didn't expect Wade to join her in the back, but was happy he did, even though she was worried about what she would do. She managed a smiled at him from under the blanket that was covering her head like a hood.

She scooted over to him a little. then a bit more. a bit more....In his lap.

I actually feel ok. My thoughts are just fuzzy. It seems to be worse when I first wake up.

She looked at him in confusion to his question. Her eyes? She hadn't seen herself in the mirror since being bit. She knew that her veins were black under her very pale skin. But she didn't know her eyes had turn red. They didn't feel different. She picked up a small reflective item and looked at her eyes.

Uh. Cool. No I don't know. I mean yeah it got on me when I was getting that thing out of him. She said and tossed the mirror to the side.

I'm really sorry I attacked you. I mean, I've been planing on attacking you, but you know...in a more...sexy way. She smiled at him and kissed him. I think I need to make sure I don't fall back to sleep. Maybe you can help me with that?

She asked as she reached down and gave his bulge a light squeeze.

She did not know the out come of her other shot - or how many other Negan had with him -

"Noooo!" mingled with one that also had Carl and sounded familiar - Daryl...

She had lunged for the bat - in what would have been a fruitless effort to catch and pull the blow aimed for Carl's head, or with any luck at the angle she was coming from behind the man on top of Carl maybe knocking him off balance and or into the path of the bat...

however -

both she and the man whom was pressing down on her friends neck both gaped when the bat stopped - caught by another...

and Erica shifted her lunge to a step and kick, kinda like a prelude to kicking a foot ball - with all the force of her desperation from before, adrenaline and fear for Carl - and planted her her foot firmly in the crotch of man. The way he was kneeling gave her an easy open target.

He ran, she ran, cuddle colliding and being spun - happy laughs. Oh it was good to be hugged so and she squished him back. "Ahhhhh - I know - I feared the same! - your here though!" She yells happily squishing him tighter - "Here!"

Kurt did not want to let go of his friend. Scared that the moment he let her go she would be lost again. But finally he did untangle his arms from her, only to grab her hand.

Are any of the others here? He asked hopeful. Maybe, Gambit, or Rogue or wolverine. He was sure Logan would have made it at least!

Maybe there is someplace we can hang and talk? Away from the crowd. just the two of them. Maybe a change of cloths...

Leo smiled warmly at Lois and nodded.  "Sorry, I-uh...just thought you were.  My apologies."  Then he nodded when she said she hoped she and Clark would be married one day.  He didn't know the man, personally, but he hoped he pulled through for the woman's sake.  "He will be just fine," he tried to reassure her.

Then he looked up at Casey.  "Let's go." It didn't seem like the other two vehicles were leaving any time soon and Leo had to get his family and the two other girls to warmth and safety.  He just hoped Casey knew where to go.  Finally, there were approaching the large building in what seemed like forever.  The storm outside was brutal and it was making even seeing the road difficult.  Leo was a nervous wreck and gripping the van seat as if his life depended on it, but Casey took the challenge like a pro.

When the vehicle came to a stop, Leo let out the breath he was holding and released his death-grip on the seat.  They made it.  He glanced at the others.  "We should get inside now."  As much as Leo wanted to stay in the vehicle, it was ill-advised since they couldn't keep it running forever.  Finding fuel was hard to come by, after all.

When the Turtle's van pulled up to the shelter, one of the younger woman ran up to Robbin who was left in charge by Bruce to tell him that more guest had arrived. It seemed that today was going to be busy.

Robbin hurried to the front of the mall and walked outside to greet the new comers. He was a tall man, about 6'6 and built like a brick house. He was a native of Hawaii and proudly showed off his traditional polynesian tattoos.

He walked up to the van with no weapon in hand, other then a wand for the purpose scanning and detecting the virus.
