SUPERMAN / CLARK KENT

Metropolis Superman3
[Play By: Henry Cavill]

"All this time I've been living my life the way my father saw it. Righting wrongs for a ghost, thinking I'm here to do good." —Clark Kent to Lois Lane

Kal-El (Clark Kent/ Superman) (1980 - 2015) was an Alien from the planet Krypton and a reporter for the Daily Planet. As a Kryptonian, Kal-El has special abilities when in the star system of a Yellow Sun and one of the last surviving members of his race.

Sent away from his planet Krypton as a small baby by parents Jor-El and Lara to Earth, he was found by Jonathan Kent and his wife Martha in the rural town of Smallville who took in the alien as their own and raised him, renaming the boy Clark Kent. Growing up discovering his powers, his adoptive parents helped him learn to use his powers in secret but a growing desire led him on a path to search for his origin. When his father's nemesis General Dru-Zod came to Earth with his followers in search of Kal-El, he proudly protected his adopted home from Zod's wrath as a hero who became known as Superman.

In the years after announcing himself to the world, Superman aided in disasters across the world, no matter how big or small and became a reporter at the Daily Planet in disguise as Clark Kent. During this time, the world was divided opinion on Superman, some blaming him for the Black Zero Event and others hailing him a God. He soon came into the cross hairs of Batman, who blamed Superman for the deaths of thousands in Metropolis. Manipulated into conflict against Batman by Lex Luthor, Superman dueled Batman in a showdown to the death, until Batman realized they were on the same side. Lex Luthor then proceeded to release Doomsday, whom Superman battled, before being joined by Batman, and later Wonder Woman. In the end, Superman managed to impale Doomsday with a Kryptonite Spear and was in turn impaled by Doomsday, with both of them seemingly killed. Superman was subsequently buried in Heroes Park, while Clark Kent was buried in Smallville Cemetery.

Growing up as the only person of his kind and very different and alienated by his peers, Clark grew up a very confused, lonely, and lost person. Instilled with moral values by his parents, he grew up to care for other people and to do the right thing. Realizing he could help others with his powers, he went against his father's wishes to help others.

LEX LUTHOR, JR.

Metropolis Lex%20luthor
[Play By: Jesse Eisenberg]

"Devils don't come from hell beneath us. No, they come from the sky!" —Lex Luthor to Senator Finch

Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor Jr. is the billionaire philanthropist CEO of LexCorp Industries.

Growing up to an abusive father, Lex's psyche was founded in his youth and gew up to replace his father as CEO of the family business, turning it into one of the wealthiest companies in the world in a short space of time.

In 2013, the world changed with the Kryptonian invasion of Earth and the appearance of Superman. Lex grew an obsession with Superman and began investigating a Metahuman Thesis that there are other beings like Superman. Deciding that he needed to kill the 'demon' Superman, he began an intricate manipulation of people to expose the world's distrust of Superman, orchestrating the Bombing of the United States Capitol and pit him in a death match against Gotham City's Batman, but the plan ultimately failed so he created Doomsday from the remains of General Zod. Doomsday killed Superman but Lex was placed in prison for his crimes.

Lex Luthor has an extraordinarily brilliant mind, by far one of the greatest in the world, though it is hideously corrupted by his horrifically unstable ego and low morality. While he usually puts up a kindly façade, Lex is actually quite malevolent and believes himself a god among men, and greatly desires to be treated as such. Hence, when Lois Lane calls him "psychotic", Lex dismisses that word as merely referring to "any thought too big for little minds."

MARTHA KENT

Metropolis Martha
[Play By: Diane Lane]

"Be whatever they need you to be. Or be none of it. You don't owe this world a thing."
—Martha Kent to Clark Kent

Martha Kent (nee Martha Clark) is a local farmer from the small town of Smallville. One of the many generations of the Kent farmers, around 30 years previous she and her husband Jonathan Kent found a spaceship containing an infant human-looking extraterrestrial boy. They took the boy in and adopted him, calling the boy Clark Kent (combining Martha's maiden surname with her current one). Raising the boy with strong moral standards, he grew up and in adulthood to eventually become the Earth's savior and constant protector, dubbed "Superman".

Martha is a very benevolent, kind, non-judgmental and honest person, who loved her adopted son Clark very much. Despite the many complications caused by his burgeoning superpowers, Martha was always very supportive of Clark, notably helping him swiftly overcome his sensory overload weakness. As Clark began to experience problems early into his career as "Superman", Martha remained supportive, trying to provide him with useful advice.

Martha is also remarkably brave, refusing to divulge any information concerning Clark when interrogated by Faora and General Zod, despite being visibly scared of the powerful malevolent aliens.

DOOMSDAY

Metropolis Doomsday

"I gave the Bat a fighting chance, but he was not strong enough! So If man won't kill god! The devil will do it! Ancient Kryptonian deformity! Blood of my blood! Born to destroy you...your doomsday." —Lex Luthor, about to unleash Doomsday on Superman

Doomsday is an incredibly powerful, ferocious, bloodthirsty, and fearsome monstrous creature of Kryptonian origin that was bred on Earth by Lex Luthor using the Genesis Chamber in the Fortress of Solitude for the purpose of destroying the Last Son of Krypton. In order to take down the seemingly unstoppable monster, Superman would team up with both Wonder Woman and Batman in a fight to the death as Doomsday's adaptability made it almost impossible for him to be defeated. In the end, Superman stabbed Doomsday in the chest with a Kryptonite Spear created by Batman, while Doomsday stabbed Superman in the chest with his spike, with both of them seemingly killed.

He lacks rational thinking and cannot tell the difference between friend or foe; this, combined with his super-enhanced abilities, feral mind, and ferocious bloodlust, makes him the "ultimate doomsday device." However, like any feral animal, he can be trapped with the right bait.
