"It is a remarkable dichotomy. In many ways, Clark is the most human of us all. Then... he shoots fire from the skies and it is difficult not to think of him as a god. And how fortunate we all are that it does not occur to him." -Batman

:::~Basic Info~:::

Name: Clark Kent (Earth given name) (Kal-El by birth parents)
Alias: Superman
Age: 33
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 200 lbs
Eye color: Blue
Nationality: Kryptonian (Alien race that appears human.)
Home world: Krypton
Current world: Earth. Grew up in Smallville Kansas, currently resides in Martopolis.
Alliance: Good
Family:  Martha Kent (Mother) Jonathan Kent (Father/ deceased) (Birth parents: Jor-L and Lara (both deceased)
Relationship status: In a relationship with Lois Lane

:::~Physical Appearance~:::

Standing at 6'1", Clark is well built. His body is muscular and chiseled to perfection. Handsome features and intense blue eyes and black hair. When not adorning the blue Superman uniform and red flowing cape, he dresses causal. Jeans and t-shirts while on the farm or button up shirts. He is usually clean shaven unless he goes 'off the map' for awhile.

When at work, he wears a tux and tie, and even though he has outworldly perfect vision, he wears glasses to help conceal his identity. Oddly enough this has been enough to deceive all but the select few that he has willingly revealed his true identity to.

Clark is a genuinely good soul. Even though humans were never kind to him growing up, he thrives to see the good in people and goes above and beyond to be helpful. He is mild mannered and polite, and exceptionally kind to the ladies. It usually takes a lot to get him riled up, and this is certainly due to a lifetime of having to hold back for the fear of exposing his freakish abilities and becoming a bigger outcast.

He has a strong sense of moral and feels obligated to always do what he feels is right, despite his father's early warnings that saving people would have consequences. (His father also believed that someday he would do great things- when the world was ready, they would accept him)

Clark is family oriented and has a strong bond with is adoptive mother Martha. A true 'mama's boy', Clark always takes time out of his busy schedule to make sure she is taken care of. A genuine gentleman. He is deathly loyal to those that he loves. He's also a hopeless romantic and takes every opportunity to treat Lois like a queen.

"I hear it's all downhill after the first kiss..." -Lois
"I think that's only if you're kissing a  human..."-Clark.

:::~Strengths and Weaknesses~:::

Clark is exceptionally strong and has been dubbed the strongest 'human' on earth. He is capable of shooting heat lasers from his eyes which can either cauterize a wound or tear an enemy apart. He has sensitive hearing and can hone in on conversations and noises from impossible distances. He also possesses x-ray vision. Burdened by these powers that overwhelmed him at a tender age, he was taught by his mother to suppress them to keep it from becoming too much.. His muscles are solid and can take on the consistency of ungiving steel.  Definitely unfortunate for anyone that tries to punch him while he's at a hundred percent. He possesses the ability to fly faster than any jet, and can freeze things with his breath.

Clark's only known weakness is kryptonite, the ore form of a radioactive element from the remains of his home planet of Krypton. The material has the ability to deteriorate Kryptonian cells, weakening the body and breaking it down and ultimately causing death if exposure period is long.

Lois Lane could also be dubbed as one of his weaknesses, but the woman is also one of his strengths, offering love and support when the world hated him.

The planet Krypton, unstable from years of industrial mining, faces impending destruction. Jor-El, chief advisor to Krypton's supreme council, recommends a full-scale evacuation of the planet's inhabitants. Before any action can be taken, soldiers led by General Zod, an old friend of Jor-El's, launch an uprising and arrest the councilors. Realizing that Krypton is doomed, Jor-El steals genetic codes sought by Zod and infuses them into the DNA of his infant son, Kal-El – the first naturally born Kryptonian child in centuries. Donning his old armor, Jor-El sacrifices himself to buy time for his son to escape on a preprogrammed rocket. Zod orders the rocket's destruction, only to learn that forces loyal to the council have suppressed the rebellion. In a brief trial, Zod and a handful of surviving rebels are convicted of treason and imprisoned in the Phantom Zone just seconds before Krypton explodes.

Following Jor-El's coordinates, the rocket lands in the Kansas town of Smallville. A childless couple, Jonathan and Martha Kent, recover the infant Kal and adopt him, naming him Clark. As he grows up, Clark becomes an outcast as a result of developing superhuman abilities. He became hypersensitive to his surroundings, hearing sounds from afar and seeing people through x-ray vision.

After saving a bus load of classmates from a watery grave, a young Clark is scolded by his father and reminded that actions would have consequences. He tells him that the world is not ready for his gift, but holds onto hope that someday he will be accepted. Clark then learns his true origins from Jonathan, who urges him to keep his powers hidden. Several years later, Jonathan dies in a tornado while refusing to let Clark save him. Burdened by guilt, Clark leaves to wander the world under several aliases, seeking a new purpose.

Lois Lane, a veteran journalist at the Daily Planet, receives an assignment to investigate the discovery of a Kryptonian scout ship in the Canadian Arctic. Clark, posing as a worker, enters the ship and activates its central computer using a key left by Jor-El, allowing him to communicate with an artificial intelligence modeled after his father. The AI explains that Clark was sent to Earth to guide its people, and presents him with a Kryptonian uniform bearing his family's symbol. Meanwhile, Lois, who had been following Clark, accidentally triggers the ship's security system. Clark saves her and uses his heat vision to cauterize her wounds before donning the uniform and testing his ability to fly. Lois attempts to get editor Perry White to publish an article on the incident, but he refuses to do so without proof. She later tracks down Clark, but eventually agrees to keep his secret safe. Feelings begin to form between Clark and Lois.

Zod and his crew, having escaped from the Phantom Zone, travel to Earth after intercepting a transmission from the scout vessel. Deducing that Kal-El is nearby, they broadcast a global address demanding that he surrender or risk war. Clark meets with the U.S. Army and agrees to comply, with Lois joining him as a hostage. Zod reveals that he possesses advanced terraforming equipment salvaged from Kryptonian outposts, which he intends to use to transform Earth into a new Krypton. His science officer, Jax-Ur, extracts Clark's genes so that he can create Kryptonian colonists who will exterminate humanity and build a society based on Zod's ideals of genetic purity. With help from Jor-El, Clark and Lois escape and warn the Army, just as Zod orders an invasion.

Given the codename "Superman", Clark destroys the terraforming platform, while his human allies launch a suicide attack that kills Zod's troops. Enraged, Zod vows to eradicate all humans himself, and engages Superman in a brutal hand-to-hand fight that ends with both men crashing into a train station. Zod turns his own heat vision on a group of passengers, forcing Superman to kill him. A family with small children were killed as a result, which weighed heavily on Superman's heart. Lois was there to comfort him during one of his most darkest times.

Recognizing that he is now the last surviving Kryptonian, Superman persuades the Army to let him act independently, so long as he does not turn against them. To allow access to dangerous situations without attracting attention, Superman is hired as a freelance reporter for the Daily Planet as Clark Kent.....

Eighteen months after a destructive attack by General Zod in Metropolis, 'Superman' became controversial. Daily Planet journalist Clark Kent, Superman's alter ego, has moved in with Lois Lane as the two have fallen in love. Bruce Wayne, who has operated in Gotham City as the vigilante "Batman" for nearly two decades, sees Superman as a potential threat to humanity. After learning of Batman's activities, Superman also views him as a threat, and seeks to stop him via the Daily Planet articles authored by him as Kent. Wayne learns that Russian weapon-trafficker Anatoli Knyazev has been contacting LexCorp's mogul Lex Luthor. Meanwhile, Luthor tries to convince Senator June Finch to allow him to import kryptonite retrieved from the Indian Ocean following the results of Zod's terraforming attempt, claiming to use it as a "deterrent" against Kryptonians, but she denies the request. He also makes side dealings with Finch's subordinate and demands access to Zod's body and the Kryptonian scout ship. All the while, Luthor sets up Superman, making it appear that he is responsible for the deaths overseas, and during the attack that took place eighteen months prior.

Wayne attends Luthor's party at LexCorp, where he meets mysterious antiques dealer Diana Prince, and retrieves data from the company's mainframe. While decrypting the drive at the Batcave, Wayne has a dream of a post-apocalyptic world, where he leads a group of rebels against Superman. He is snapped out of the dream by an unidentified time traveler, who warns him of Lane's crucial role in the distant future, and urges him to find "the others". Wayne later realizes that Luthor is not only experimenting with Kryptonite, but also investigating metahumans. One of them is Prince herself, who is an immortal warrior. Wayne admits to Alfred Pennyworth that he plans to steal the kryptonite to weaponize it, should it become necessary to fight Superman.

Luthor orchestrates a bombing at a congressional hearing where Finch is questioning Superman on the validity of his actions, which have resulted in deaths of civilians. The bomb kills dozens of people, including Finch. Frustrated by his failure to save people, Superman goes into self-imposed exile. Batman breaks into LexCorp and steals the kryptonite, planning to use it to battle Superman by building a powered exoskeleton, and creating a kryptonite grenade launcher and a kryptonite-tipped spear. Meanwhile, Luthor enters the Kryptonian ship and learns of its functions, as well as recorded alien worlds.

Luthor kidnaps Clark's adoptive mother and reveals that he has manipulated Superman and Batman by fueling their animosity for each other. Luthor demands Superman fight and kill Batman in exchange for Martha's life. Superman tries to reason with Batman, but Batman instigates a fight and ultimately gains the upper hand thanks to the kryptonite grenades. Before Batman can kill Superman with the spear, Superman urges Batman to "save Martha", whose name is also shared with Wayne's late mother. Lane arrives and explains the situation, convincing Batman that Superman is not a threat. Upon learning of Luthor's plan, Batman leaves to rescue Martha, while Superman confronts Luthor on the scout ship.

Luthor executes his backup plan, unleashing a genetically-engineered monster with DNA from both Zod's body and his own, known as Doomsday. However, Diana Prince arrives unexpectedly. Revealing her metahuman nature, she joins forces with them to fight the creature. They are soon outmatched by its power, as it can absorb and redirect energy. Realizing that it is also vulnerable to kryptonite, Superman retrieves the kryptonite spear. With Batman and Prince's help distracting it, Superman impales the monster. As it dies, the creature stabs and kills a weakened Superman with one of its bone protrusions.

Luthor is arrested, and while confronted by Batman he gloats that Superman's death has made the world vulnerable to powerful alien threats. A memorial is held for Superman in Metropolis. Clark is also declared dead and Wayne, Lane, Martha, and Prince attend a private funeral for him in Smallville. Martha gives an envelope to Lane which contains an engagement ring from Clark. After the funeral, Wayne reveals to Prince that he plans to form a team of metahumans, starting with the ones from Luthor's files, to help protect the world in Superman's absence. After they leave, a faint heartbeat echoes from Clark's coffin and the dirt around it begins to levitate....

:::~Sample Post~:::

Not once did he reconsider his actions. The very kryptonite tipped spear that Batman had tried to kill him with was their only hope. After Lois' near death trying to retrieve it from its watery grave, it was up to him to bring it to the surface. No second thoughts. No considering that his act of goodness could cost him his life. Completely selfless to the end.  Unfortunately being already weakened from his earlier exposure at the hands of Batman, he was unable to bring it to the surface. Fortunately Lois intervened and managed to pull him up. A blessing, and also a curse. This meant that he would have to say goodbye.

Sputtering out the water from stubborn lungs that refused to take their last inhale, Superman's saddened gaze met those of the woman he loved more than life itself. If he even had a fleeting thought of reconsideration, it would have been gone in that moment. If he didn't act, the whole world would die and with it, Lois Lane. A reminder of all he would be losing as she kissed him for the final time, caressing his face...

"I love you..." A weakened smile eased across his lips, still on  hands and knees as he recovered, though masking the physical pain. Burying deep the emotional turmoil that after these final moments, he would never feel Lois in his arms again. Feel her skin against his, and he savors the final moments as she caressed his face. The warmth she had always given him. There was no other option. He was their only hope. The only one capable of getting close to the creature's chest without being taken down within a matter of seconds. To save her, he had to die...

Lois' gaze drifted in the direction of the chaos, where Doomsday continued to regenerate and grow stronger and larger after every single attack that Batman and Wonder Woman threw at him. Deep down she knew,
but now his intentions were painfully obvious. "No..." Her voice was frantic as she caressed his face, eyes pleading, hoping that warmth would be enough for reconsideration, but she knew... this was the end. he knew what had to be done and deep down, she realized it too. Still, reality didn't make it any less painful.  "No Clark, you can't..."

"This is my world..." He told her, accepting it and all of the peoples' cruelty toward him. All of the misunderstanding and hatred ... forgiving all of their blame. Forgiving them for wrongfully fearing him and wishing for his death. He still loved them, and this was his home.

Lois continued to frantically shake her head, cupping his cheeks in the hopes that her pleas would break through that determination. "No, Clark... DON'T!"

The pleas tore through his heart. He had heard her words all along, but knew what had to be done. Another small, weak smile as his gaze shifts from the carnage, fixating and meeting those intense, saddened eyes of his love. "You are my world...."

It was time. Lingering would only make this more difficult on the both of them. Reluctant to leave her warmth, he pushed off, feeling Lois small desperate hands as she tried to grab, him, tried to pull him back.. "CLARK!!!"

His weakness was made obvious by his slow flying speed, swaying and hovering with difficulty near the ground as he collected the kryptonite spear, determination in his eyes as he flies towards his death.....
