Da Other side Empty
PostSubject: Da Other side   Da Other side EmptyMon Nov 15, 2021 1:48 am

The sun shone down on the golden city. Zandalar was full of life and the market was buzzing with activity. Children play battled each other on the streets. It was never to early to start trying to be a warrior after all. There was more people then usual out, ever since the horde arrived on the island a year ago. Dieair had never seen an orc before, but in the year that they been in the city she learned their language. She also made friends with the Darkspear trolls. Another tribe that the Zandalar once looked down on, because they joined the Horde.

The Horde had some interesting beings. Goblins, orcs, blood elves, even the undead. But they all had one thing in common. A hatred of the Alliance. The Humans mostly.

The Horde came to Zandalar looking for help against the Alliance. They needed the massive fleet that Zandalar had. And the Zandalar trolls just so happen to need help dealing with Blood trolls. A cannibalistic tribe that worshiped the blood god Ga'ul. So they had an agreement. They would help each other out.

That was a year ago. The blood trolls were dealt with. There were some still out there in Nazmire, but their numbers were low now. The Alliance however was still causing problems. They were not so easy to get rid of.

But today seemed peaceful. Dieair was shopping for herbs and wine to give as an offering to the shrine of her god Bwonsamdi. The Zandalar were very spiritual and all worshipped their gods. Dieair had been a faithful servant of the death god since she was a child. She paid for her goods and walked to the shrine. She lit the candles and sprinkled the herbs around. Getting on her knees she poured the wine in a bowl that sat under the shrine. This was a quiet moment when Dieair would commune with her god. She did this every morning before going out on a hunt. or if she was needed in the field.

"We're under attack! Get the children inside!"

Dieair's meditation was cut short with the shouts coming from the city. She grabbed her bow and headed back to town. Arriving she saw that the Alliance was arriving by ships and cannons were being fired at their ports. Others were coming in from the sky. It was a full on attack! She aimed her bow and pulled back, an arrow appeared and she shot at one of the humans, whistling loudly a black raptor came running to her side to fight, it was Skettles her faithful pet.

The two took out as many as they could, arrows flew through the air. the mages threw shields up to protect those that were injured. Healers were doing their best to keep up.

Dieair had no choice but to take cover in one of the buildings.

"Dieair! The humans are attacking the Necropolis" It was Zul'la. She knew that Dieair would want to know that information. the Necropolis was Bownsamdi's temple. Dieair didn't even say anything she ran to the portals that would take her to Nazmier were the temple was. But just as she entered the swirling portal it was hit by a bomb, the explosion was huge and caused massive damage, her raptor didn't make it through in time.

When Dieair came out the otherside of the portal she had no idea where she was. Nazmire was a hot, humid, sticky swamp. She was in a lush forest. And not any forest she had ever seen. She felt dizzy and nothing looked familer. She remembered going through the portal and then a loud explosion. Something must have gone wrong. But where was she? Not knowing where she was she just started walking. Everything looked pretty much like Azaroth but not. She had heard of different worlds before so the thought of being on a different world wasn't far fetched, it was the how that she didn't understand.

She eventually came across what she thought was an undead. finally she thought someone I can talk to and ask where I am. She walked up to the man but instead of talking the man tried to bite her! She tried to talk to him but he wasn't listening and just kept attacking. Finally Dieair had to put an arrow though his head to stop him. Now she was more freaked out than before. Was she the only being alive in this world? Was she all alone?

Dieair had always been alone. She grew up with no parents as they died in war, she didn't really make friends and she never had a mate. But the thought of being all alone was scary.

Day turned into night. she built a shelter and a fire. Night turned into day. day into weeks.

A month into her life in this new world she came across a community. they welcomed her in. she met the Turtles that reminded her so much of the tortollas from back home. And humans that weren't trying to kill her. Over time she started to develop feelings for one of the Turtles, Raphael, though she's sure he doesn't feel the same way and keeps the feelings to herself.

Dieair has made a nice life for herself. she still prays to Bownsamdi even though in this world she doesn't feel his presence, and she misses her home very much. She hopes one day a portal opens that will take her back. But for now, she feels lucky to have her little family in her little town.
